Chapter 19 Maldives trip

(Rafael's POV)
I'm wondering if things are moving too fast.
Because it was thought that Lena and I had some of the same experiences in us, it was very hasty to assume that the two of us were one type of person, and in this case, it seemed a little too casual.
No one informed me about Rachel's return.
Of course, even if Rachel had reached out to me, nothing would have changed.
"Raphael, I know you don't want to marry me, but it doesn't look like you're doing well to find a random woman and marry her-"
I heard Rachel's taunts, but of course, I have long since taken such words from her as commonplace.
I have to admit that there is some truth in what she said.
Ryan met with me earlier, and the content of those conversations was also reminding me to pay attention to grasp the proportion, only to end up being impulsive themselves.
However, I am not going to retract my statement.
"So what, what do you want to do?"
Rachel's looks were not lost on the others, it's just a pity I never thought much of her.
I saw her and let out a laugh, "Is she working beside you?"
"That's right." I nodded.
"Resign her, Rafael, for me."
"What capital do you have?" I questioned Rachel softly, her face looked very ugly, but, still kept some sense.
"I'll try her for you, Rafael, and I won't say anything about you two being together as long as she can resist the temptation."
It sounded like a very tempting idea, but trying out Lena was not something I was going to come to Rachel to do for me.
As I was about to voice out my refusal to reject her, Rachel interrupted me, "You know, William called me a while ago and he told me that your woman was the one who reached out to him."
I know that Lena and William met once, as for the two of them in the end how to contact, this matter I have never understood. However, I never thought it would be Lena's initiative to contact William.
I narrowed my eyes, Rachel did guess what I was thinking, she hooked her lips, "Are you going to trust her completely?"
"When I met your father before, I once heard him say that he hoped to have you serve in the Hill Group just after your return, is that what you had in mind?" I didn't answer her question.
"I just want to work around you."
"The day after tomorrow, I'll bring Lena on our honeymoon early, the same time I have to take care of some business, you can come with Landon." I looked at Rachel, whose face had begun to look ugly.
Of course, I didn't care that she would reject me.
"May I come with you?"
"Have you ever seen a honeymoon with three people together?"
"Okay, I agree, Rafael, and this honeymoon can casually become the two of us if you regret it by then."
With those words, Rachel took her bag and walked to the door.
I didn't know what Rachel was planning to do to Lena, but I was very curious to see how Lena would react.
I knew that I couldn't fully trust Lena in my heart and that marrying her wasn't just because of the agreement issue. Because I never forgot what I wanted to do, I didn't know if she was really in love with me or if she just didn't want to give up her current life.
(Lena's POV)
I felt a tinge of embarrassment and, of course, the overriding emotion was a loss.
I've never seen anyone who could make a loud noise in front of Rafael, and of course, most people probably couldn't even get into his office.
But the girl was indeed there.
Once again, I felt the gap between Raphael and me. He was surrounded by many girls who were necessary to be beautiful and whose family history could beat several of me. To be able to stand with Rafael would have required a certain amount of capital.
Of course, I don't have any.
When I realized this, I felt how ridiculous he was talking about getting married.
Even the upcoming honeymoon was a bit surreal.
Maybe he was just trying to coax me into thinking he loved me but was just playing around.
I took a deep breath, knowing that these thoughts were not appropriate to think about right now, but I couldn't restrain myself.
The door to Raphael's office was opened again and the girl came out and looked at me as her eyes fell on me.
But she didn't say anything, just that no matter the expression or the gesture, it was as if she was swearing to me that she was the final victor.
It wasn't until she completely disappeared from my sight that I snapped out of my own emotions and knocked on Rafael's door with the information in my hand.
Raphael is not any different from Fang.
I put the information in front of him and started to tell him about the work.
But talking about it confuses even yourself some things.
"Sorry, I'll do it again."
"No," Rafael interrupted, and I glanced at him to find him looking at me too, "I seem to have given you the day off today."
"I don't have anything to pack, and after I get my bags ready, I'll come to the office, and if I come back extra late, I'll be behind on a lot of work."
Rafael looked at me and he seemed to press his brow with some headache: "It's not just the honeymoon, Lena, I won't be there with you all the time."
"But didn't you say it was a honeymoon?"
"In the mid-term, there will be company staff coming over to discuss some projects, the real honeymoon wait until after we hold the wedding, I just think it's not appropriate to keep you at home all the time, that's why I plan to bring you along."
I nodded, trying to look very casual: "Isn't it just the two of us, and Landon will be there? Who else? The girl from earlier?"
I didn't know what mood to put on when I saw Raphael nodding.
This is quite normal.
We have not yet received a marriage license, have not yet held a wedding, anything can happen, the accident and tomorrow do not know which will come first.
I thought I was used to this thing.
"Yes, that's certainly no problem, then I can handle my work over there too, yes?"
"Sure."
On the day of departure, my luggage is not even my work equipment to more, out of the very usual clothes, I only have very simple skincare products, not even cosmetics and so on. When Rafael saw one of my suitcases, he even frowned.
"I thought you'd bring a lot of stuff with you."
"I don't need to, Rafael, can we go now?"
"Let's go."
In the past two days, I almost gave myself a full mental build-up. As long as the so-called "honeymoon" is a simple trip, I do not care if there are others to join us.
I've never been to the Maldives, but when I saw the ocean and the beach, I admit that I didn't even need to psych myself out.
Even if Raphael brings a hundred people to follow, I can still play very painfully.
That night, he took me to see the sea fireworks, and we enjoyed a long period of peace while the huge fireworks went up, and then he took me to the food over here and to various fun activities.
We enjoyed such a time for only three days, and on the third day, the rich girl named Rachel joined us.
"Surprise!" Rachel was wearing a bikini, and her figure was so dimpled that the other people on the beach couldn't help but pay more attention to her, but it was clear that she hadn't come alone, there were men and women behind her, and I admit, I didn't like the environment.
She came towards us and I subconsciously had to turn around and back up, but I didn't see Rafael behind me and ran straight into her.
"I'm sorry!" I turned to him and apologized, but he lowered his head and asked me what was wrong.
"I'm a little uncomfortable and would like to go back to the hotel to rest for a while."
This was probably a very lame excuse, but Raphael didn't seem suspicious, and he permitted me to leave with a nod to be safe.
However, I hadn't gotten very far when I heard their conversation behind me.
"How did she leave?"
"Not feeling well."
"Raphael, you should at least care a little more, right? Letting a girl walk away by herself, aren't you afraid something will happen? Ava, can you help send people back, Rafael and I have something we want to talk about."
I knew they were about to come over, the speed of the feet suddenly accelerated, except that they were probably running over, a few people followed directly, a girl whose hair had been dyed white out of sight took my arm.
"Lena?"
I nodded my head.
"I'm Ava, this is Tom and Jerry, no need to meet us."
I just nodded politely to the other two and didn't even get a good look at what they both looked like.
"You're not feeling well, are you?" Ava asked with great eagerness.
Honestly, I didn't feel any discomfort, I just didn't want to see Raphael and Rachel together, but of course, it did seem a little late for me to escape.
"I'm okay, I don't feel very bad, I can probably get over it with a little rest."
Within the time of talking, we had walked inside the hotel, the two men had left, and Ava was the only one who followed me in.
"It's okay, I'll go in with you."
I wasn't sure if I should find a reason to refuse her kind offer, but it was clear that it was too late to say anything more.
For convenience, I didn't even take the same room as Rafael. Ava helped me in and then poured me a glass of water.
"Get some rest, honey, you don't look so good either."
I smiled at her and thanked her for her kindness, and at this time, she suddenly looked at me and said, "Are you afraid of me?"
