Chapter 25 Kidnapping

(Rafael's POV)
I still remember the day I met with Mr. Lester, and although our conversation was not pleasant, I was more than satisfied with the result.
As per Lena's request, I did not invite anyone, including her father, except for her friend Nina.
Of course, some necessary things I still got.
Mr. Lester promised not to interfere with our wedding, and for Lena, this was already a matter of joy.
Still, I think Lena would have felt otherwise when she read the letter.
Of course, I really can't compliment Mr. Lester's sincerity.
Everything went very well.
On this night, I can become a real partner with Lena.
I have tried hard to give her the best of everything.
However, I did not expect that I would experience a second betrayal.
I heard a noise coming from outside, and when I walked out, I saw a woman stopped outside by security.
She looked anything but flustered, and my gut told me that nothing good could come of it.
The woman's expression shifted a bit when she saw me: "Mr. Raphael! Mr. Raphael!"
I walked over and told the guard to let go of the woman. She ran to me, gasping violently, "Mr. Raphael, something's wrong."
My heart suddenly raced.
"Miss Lester is missing."
It all came very suddenly.
I ignored the murmurs of those around me and called Landon over immediately after calmly asking the woman what was going on.
"Call up surveillance, Landon, and re-verify the identities of everyone who has entered or left the venue. Also, get Lena's friend over here, I have something to say to her, and keep an eye on Rachel for me, and send someone to follow her if she leaves."
I don't know what kind of expression I should put on now, in fact, I am surprised that I am not touched by all that is happening now.
I should have been angry and should have blamed Lena out loud.
I had heard rumors that Lena was probably running away from her marriage. I didn't want to doubt Lena, but a person can't just disappear so easily. I still wished I could trust Lena, but the memory of what had happened overwhelmed me.
They brought me back three years ago.
And I may have to admit that I have been cheated on twice by the same woman.
As I came back to my senses, my fist had slammed into the table, and the sharp pain brought me back to my senses a little.
Wherever Lena is, I'm going to find her.
Nina soon came to me, and her face looked terrible.
"Do you know where Lena is?"
Nina's expression looked shocked: "Rafael, she disappeared from you, how could I possibly know where she is?"
If Lena had left on her own, she would have reached out to her closest people first, and if Nina hadn't lied, Lena could be in a very dangerous position right now.
My heart missed a beat.
Nina didn't look at me, she had her head down and looked very hesitant.
"Nina, is there something you want to say to me?"
"I ......"
I watched as she reached out and slapped her forehead with a pained look on her face, then, in a shaky voice, she told me, "I ..... I'm not sure, Rafael, you know, Lena's only knows a few people in total, and I can't think of any of those people who would harm her."
"But you must know something."
My heartbeat faster as Nina got hold of the news.
"I don't know, Raphael, if I had to say, I could only think of one person who might know where Lena is right now."
I looked closely at Nina, whose face looked even harder. Then, I heard the name of the last person I wanted to hear from her: "William Hill."
This is bad!
Just as I was about to say something, my phone rang at this time.
"Mr. Raphael, there is a serious problem, the make-up artist you originally arranged did not come over, Miss Rachel left once in the middle, however, I have no way to find out where she went."
"Where is she now?"
"It's right here."
According to Nina's account, William had visited her several times and hoped she could help him convince Lena to give up her marriage to me.
However, even Nina is not always available to see Lena.
William's plan didn't work.
"I didn't know William would do something like this." Nina cried as she followed me around.
"I'm sorry, Rafael, I wanted so much for Lena to be happy that I kept turning him down."
I didn't have the heart to comfort her, and after I pushed the door open, Rachel was sitting on the couch looking at me.
When I saw her smile, I was sure of it all.
"Where is she now?"
"That's not a question you should be asking me, Raphael." Rachel's smile didn't message as she stood up and walked over to me.
"Do you know what the guests are saying? They all think it was your fiancée who ran away, but, Raphael, no one knows who your fiancée is, and if you don't want to disgrace the Hill family, I can help you."
"How do you want to help me?"
"I'll marry you."
After hearing that, I burst out laughing.
I think I would be happy to work with Rachel in the future if she could put herself in the right position, but she never seems to grow up.
"Rachel, do you know why I won't marry you?"
Rachel raised her head and looked over at me, "You're just temporarily bewitched by that woman, Raphael, and I'm willing to wait for you."
"No, because Lena Lester already exists."
Unless she is erased from my memory, unless she never existed, I will not fall in love with anyone other than her.
"Very well, then go and find her, Raphael." Rachel's eyes were already flooded with tears, and for the first time, I experienced that a person's smile could make me want to gag.
I can now be sure that Lena was taken by William.
Landon quickly gave me all of William's places of activity, and I was surprised that Ryan's bar was one of the places he frequented the most.
But that's not much of a surprise.
"Father."
"Rafael, you shouldn't be calling me at this time."
"I know you're angry with me for what I did, but I did it, and, are you sure you have the strength to argue with me about this?"
The father was silent for a moment: "What do you want me to do for you?"
"You gave William a house."
"He is also my son, Rafael."
"I don't care who you'll give that house to, I want the address and keys to it."
I'm going to get back what's most precious to me.
(Lena's POV)
My head was dizzy, and the moment I opened my eyes, I saw only unfamiliar surroundings. What exactly happened, I still haven't figured out.
Because I was anesthetized, my body was still very heavy and I could only sit up from the bed very reluctantly.
As I began to remember, the door to the room was pushed open.
William walked in and I stared at him with wide eyes.
"Why are you doing this?"
I've figured it out.
Whatever happened to William in the middle of this, it certainly had something to do with William. His face was also very hard to see, the whole person looked very haggard. William did not pay attention to what I was afraid to say, he handed the glass of water to me, but I just took the glass and did not take a sip.
"What have you brought me to?"
"This is my house." William sat down in front of me.
"I don't mean to say anything to you, William, but it's obvious that you're kidnapping." I could hear the tremble in my voice.
William is a very gentleman, at least, in my opinion, William would not be impulsive to do such a thing, but the facts are in front of me.
But today is my wedding day.
Raphael doesn't know anything.
"William, send me back."
However, William did not nod or shake his head.
"Lena, you can't marry Rafael."
"Why?"
He didn't say anything to make me change my decision.
This sounds just ridiculous!
I couldn't hold back a sneer, remembering what Raphael had warned me about earlier, and I admit, Raphael was right.
I struggled to get off the bed, but William came up and got in my way.
"Get out of the way," I warned him. I think it was pretty obvious that I was angry, and even though he was my friend, he had no right to do such a thing.
William doesn't think so.
He bent over slightly and looked down at me. Without any fear, I bravely looked him straight in the eye.
The only thing that William and Raphael resemble each other is their eyes.
"No, you can't go, Lena."
I grunted coldly, and out of nowhere, I reached out and pushed him away.
William in my barely staggered a few steps, I ignored him even though the body is still a little hard, even the legs are a little too weak to make, I still stood up and walked to the door.
I would have thought he would have stopped.
I think it's obvious enough what I mean. I choose Rafael and it has to be him.
But, once again, William came up and took my arm.
"Lena, you can't go."
"Why? You have to give me a reason, don't you, William?" I shook off his hand and went to pull the door open again.
Then, William hugged me directly from behind. Originally, because of the wedding dress, my movement was very inconvenient, and now, because of William's movements, I could not move at all.
His breath lay on my shoulders, a feeling that caused me a bad chill.
"Let go of me! William, we're not possible, didn't you already know about this?"
"No, Lena, I can't stand by and watch you make the wrong decision again."
"Choosing Raphael was not the wrong decision!" I couldn't help but yell at him.
William dragged me straight back to the bed and I fell heavily.
"Do you think he only hurt you once?"
I looked to William: "What did you say?"
