Chapter 26 Rescue

(Lena's POV)
William's words sent chills down my spine. I knew that the relationship between Rafael and I was not as perfect as we thought it was. But I simply thought that it was because once Raphael had abandoned me. But William's reaction told me that there was more to it than that.
"William, you must know something, don't you, tell me."
"Lena, how can you still want to marry Rafael after the way she treated you?"
My heart stung at his words, "But I love him, William ......"
I said feebly, and William closed his eyes in some despair.
"Lena, with him, you will not end well. Haven't you been hurt enough? How many times was it because of him, don't you get it? He's a jerk, Lena, he never loved you, it's a conspiracy!"
Because of his anger, William's chest rose and fell violently, and I was frightened by these words of his. He looked at me as if he wanted to say something else, but at this time, we heard a loud noise coming from downstairs.
William gave me a look: "Lena, stay here, I'm going to take a look."
There was no way I was going to obediently listen to him as he pulled the door open and left. After William pulled the door open and went out, I followed.
I still have something I want to ask him.
But I hadn't gone more than a few steps out when I heard a wail - it was William's voice.
My heart suddenly pounded violently, as if I had been struck hard. The sounds downstairs were getting more and more violent, and I ran down the stairs in a panic and saw the scene in front of me.
Rafael clutched William's lapel, his face was cold, his fist clenched hard and smashed directly into William's face. I saw William's cheeks instantly redden, and his mouth hung with bright blood at the corners, but still smiled at Raphael.
I screamed and ran anxiously towards them, trying to cut Raphael off.
But Nina pulled me in from the side, "Lena, calm down, don't go over there, that's their business."
But how can this be just about them?
Raphael looked like he was going to be furious, but, even though he was angry, his face was still cold. However, that kind of aura is impossible for me to ignore.
William suddenly smiled, he did not look in a good situation.
Rafael was enraged by his laughter and I watched as he once again pulled William up from the ground and slammed him down with a fist so hard that William was knocked straight to the ground.
I let out a harsh scream, "Rafael! Stop fighting!"
But Rafael didn't even look at me.
William didn't pay any attention to me either.
I watched as William seemed to whisper something to Rafael, but, I didn't hear him.
Nina's strength was so great that she was even scratching me painfully.
I broke away from Lena's hand and ran to Rafael and the others, stopping his fist that was about to fall again.
Raphael gave me a look, I don't know why, obviously I shouldn't be afraid, but Raphael's eyes made it seem like I was walking into the night.
I don't know why he looked at me with that look, but it was just like the look he gave me when we first met.
William's face was already swollen, and he lay helplessly on the floor, his eyes open, but his gaze was devoid of any expression.
My brow furrowed, then, I looked to Raphael, "Raphael, let's go, we have a wedding to attend."
(Rafael's POV)
I didn't even have the patience to wait for Landon to open the door for me. My father made it difficult on purpose, and I understood that none of those keys were right.
I felt my anger, and the emotion was about to engulf me. William could always make me feel the maximum anger in any situation.
I pushed past Landon, who was in the way, and kicked that door open as everyone watched in horror.
When I entered, I saw William coming down the stairs, "Where's Lena?"
"Right here," William came down the stairs with a surprising smile on his face as he came up to me, "Raphael, why don't you tell Lena everything?"
I narrowed my eyes and looked at William with a dangerous gaze, "What did you say to her?"
"Everything I know, I told her everything, and she won't believe you anymore." William struck a victorious pose at me.
I didn't know what he meant by "all".
But I couldn't help myself, I hated William for his and his mother's existence. And now there was one more reason.
I swung my fist and slammed it into William's cheek, but I didn't use my full strength. I watched as he stumbled a few steps, trying to stand, however, I didn't give him that chance.
I gave him another punch and William couldn't help but muffle a grunt before falling to the ground.
He struggled and tried to stand up, and I wouldn't give him that chance.
I've had enough slip-ups in matters relating to him.
At this time, I heard a scream.
I looked at Lena with a very complicated look.
Lena was not in bad shape as she stood on the stairs and came running towards us. She was now in her wedding dress and even though she hadn't finished her makeup, the look still made my heart flutter.
But I heard very clearly exactly what William had just said to me.
"You know, she was drunk, and that night, I knew you liked her, so without any hesitation, I slept with her."
I knew what he meant by what he said to me.
That night, what other day could there be?
It was the time when Lena betrayed me.
From a long time ago, I knew exactly who the man in the video was.
William had an accident as a child, he had a wound on his back, the wound stitches several times, and finally left a very obvious scar.
The man in that video also has this scar on his back.
My heart sank, and there was a tingling sensation in my hands.
I didn't tighten up my movements a bit when I was hitting William. If I could, I would have preferred that I could have punched him to death.
Then I pushed Lena away, and I just couldn't bring myself to look at her again.
Then I squatted down and looked at William, who had collapsed on the floor: "I know you're eager to prove something to Father, but if you can't even do something as simple as that, I think Father probably won't give you another chance."
William's eyes widened and he stared at me angrily, trying to say something. But I reached out and grabbed him by the neck.
I don't want to hear any more of his bullshit with me.
"My father has already had this idea for a long time, William, you could have had an okay ending, it is obvious that you have not learned what it means to behave with your tail between your legs, then I will teach you once myself."
I let go of William, and he reached up to cover his neck and coughed violently.
Then I stood up my body, took Lena into my arms, and turned to leave.
As he walked to the door, William shouted behind him in a hoarse voice, "Lena!"
Lena tried to turn back, but I held her by the shoulders and stopped her from doing so.
I don't have much patience left.
Lena is right, we still have to get married.
But something has been planted in my heart.
I know that this is not the result.
The evening wedding reception went smoothly. Lena also seemed to be shocked by the incident. However, it was clear to me that she was probably more concerned about whether William was killed by me or not.
To prevent such a thing from happening again, I purposely arranged security guards for her to use for her protection.
Lena, however, wanted to see me for a while.
Before the wedding officially started, I went to see her.
I have long seen Lena in her wedding dress, she is indeed beautiful, perfect body, beautiful face, those purple eyes are like talking.
Three years ago, I began to imagine Lena standing in front of me like this. Now, this wish has come true, but, surprisingly, I don't feel happy.
I still have no way to accept the fact that she once betrayed me.
At a time when I thought I could let it all go quite openly, I knew I couldn't.
I looked over at Lena and she looked that worried about me. But I couldn't trust her completely.
Lina knew everything already, so why did she put on such a face to me.
"Raphael, your face looks very ugly."
I was silent for a moment, "Because I'm worried about you, honey."
"I know, it's okay Rafael, it's almost over, we're about to start over, aren't we?"
I nodded my head, not wanting to think about that anymore.
"Rafael, I love you." Lena reached out her hand and she took me and looked at me with great devotion.
My gaze became soft, "Me too."
"Leave William alone, Rafael, he has helped me so much, and I know you don't want to, for my sake."
I looked at Lena and slowly drew back my hand as Lena lowered her head.
"Honey, don't think about anything else, our wedding is about to begin."
I admit that I didn't want to hear such words from her mouth, but none of this was something I needed to think about.
I just can't imagine if I think carefully about these questions, I will still be able to attend this wedding successfully or not.
Lena was bound to know exactly what I was thinking, and she nodded and finally said nothing.
Before the wedding started, all the guests were already seated in their seats.
The lights dimmed and I watched as the doors to the auditorium were slowly pushed open and Lena slowly walked towards me from the other end of the red carpet filled with rose petals.
I think everything can wait until the end of the day to solve the problem.
Lena under the veil gazed at me tenderly, she smiled softly, and in the romantic music, my bride slowly walked towards me.
I reached out my hand to take her over, but my bride did not take my hand.
