Chapter 86 Drowning

(Lena's POV)
It was so close that I had no idea when he was leaning over.
"Sorry, I didn't see you."
"It's okay, we should go back now, we're too far from the coast and the waves are huge."
It was only after Justin's reminder that I noticed there was no longer anyone around.
I glanced at Justin, this time noting that his gaze stayed on me, and while I didn't hate him, I resented the gesture.
Still, I didn't say anything.
I had thought that nothing would happen to me, but, just shortly after I swam out, I heard the sound of the waves behind me.
To make sure Justin had followed me, I still looked back, but that's when I realized Justin was a long way away.
"Are you okay?" I shouted, even waving directly at him because I was a bit far away.
I couldn't hear Justin's voice; all I could see was that he was waving hard at me, too.
Although I couldn't understand what Justin's gesture meant, my gut told me that something was wrong with him.
Just when I wanted to swim towards him, the sea level suddenly became less calm. At this time, I realized that there were already waves hitting in the distance.
My brow furrowed, and for once, I didn't dare to continue to hesitate.
I quickly had the past, and by the time I got close to Justin, I realized that nothing was wrong with Justin.
"What are you doing? Why don't you go over there?"
Justin gave me a look, "I thought, that's you over there."
I looked in the direction of Justin's finger, and not far away on the other side, there was indeed a girl who looked so much like me that even I was surprised to see it myself, not to mention that Justin and I had only just met.
However, after making sure Justin was okay, I breathed a sigh of relief: "It's okay, let's hurry back."
Justin nodded, and just as we were about to head back, there was a sudden scream not far away.
I snapped my head around to look at the side, the girl we just saw was struggling inside the water.
This situation is not right at first glance.
I glanced at Justin, who had a serious expression on his face, but he didn't seem to be planning to go over to the rescue.
I didn't continue to hesitate, if I waited any longer the girl might die.
Not caring about the waves in the distance, I swam directly toward the girl, and as soon as Justin saw my movements, he knew what I wanted to do.
He tried to reach out and pull me in, "Lena, wait a minute!"
I dodged to the side, easily avoiding his movements.
I didn't pay any attention to him.
"Lena, the waves are getting closer, we need to go back now."
I was gaining speed, and I didn't have the energy to pay attention to Justin's words now.
I had expected Justin to simply leave after seeing my reaction, but he swam along anyway.
A man's physical strength is indeed stronger than a woman's, he quickly caught up with me, and this time, we swam towards the woman one after the other.
Fortunately, we were not too far away and we came around the girl before she completely lost consciousness. I approached from behind her and easily fished the struggling girl out of the water.
"Honey, calm down!" At my shouting, the girl finally came back to her senses. She gasped violently, is not coughing a few times, fortunately, people do not choke too much water.
"Are you okay?" I inquired with concern.
The girl looked at me, she seemed to have been terrified, her face was all a bit white, and her eyes were indeed red.
I patted her back gently, "It's already okay."
"God! I thought I was going to die soon."
I looked at Justin and then back at the girl: "Let's just go back to shore, can you swim back on your own?"
The girl shook her head, she looked like she was about to cry: "No, I just learned to swim, I don't know why, I swam so far, just now in a hurry, I choked a few mouthfuls of water."
This time, I had to ask Justin for help.
From just now, Justin was very cold and he didn't seem to want to help the girl.
Still, he nodded as I looked over at him, "Leave it to me, Lena, and you must stay close behind me."
I smiled at Justin.
I had this already considered unfortunate. But I didn't expect that I would almost die here afterward.
Justin was fast and I now finally knew how much he had taken care of me before.
Although I was doing my best to follow him, there was still a distance between us.
"Justin!" I was going to tell him that I was taking a break in the back, but, as Justin looked back at me, he looked horrified.
My gut tells me something must have happened.
Sure enough!
At this time, the sea level in front of me was suddenly or undulating, at the moment I turned my head, my eyes suddenly became dim, the waves towards the hit.
It was very unpleasant, I felt as if I had been punched in the face, and then the feeling of suffocation.
The water all rushed into my windpipe and my breath was taken away by the sea.
But I didn't just learn to swim; on the contrary, my favorite sport is swimming.
My brain quickly calmed down, after which I struggled to the surface, and before I could take a breath, at which point another wave came crashing down on me.
I was already a bit stretched, plus just choked several mouthfuls of water, this time, despite my desperate struggle, there is no way to completely get out of trouble.
The sound of water flowing in my ears was an unpleasant sensation, and I swung my arms desperately, but to no avail.
I opened my eyes and watched myself get further and further away from the water, the sunlight was shining through the water and everything was becoming a bit surreal.
I didn't have the strength to continue struggling, and at this moment, I felt how close I was to death.
Probably because I was dying, I imagined that someone would come to my rescue. A figure appeared in front of me, and he swam towards me, getting closer and closer to me.
He looks a lot like Raphael.
(Raphael's POV)
Landon saw that I was not in the mood to work, so he suggested that I just take a leave of absence.
"No." I overruled Landon's words because, even if I could just postpone all matters, there was no way to book a flight now.
And, Lena will be back soon.
That's all I can do to comfort myself.
Landon has been working beside me for a long time, and he doesn't take my orders particularly seriously anymore like he used to.
But that's probably a good thing.
Landon sighed, and then, he placed a ticket in front of me, "This is the same flight as Madame, so if you rush there now, you should still be able to make it to your boarding, but if you continue to hesitate."
I looked to Landon, who stretched his hands helplessly, "Then I'll go set up a meeting for you now."
I didn't say anything, grabbed my ticket, and just left.
Landon did a great job.
After arriving in Hawaii, I made it a point to stay in the room next to Lena.
Originally, I wanted to go to Lena as soon as I could, but soon, I changed my mind again.
This idea is indeed correct.
I know Lena well enough to know what she likes, so she was able to appreciate my importance when she realized that she was very inconvenient on her own without anyone else around.
Of course, my initial thought was to simply not bring Jamie.
I would have liked to be there for her at this time, but, I realized Lena didn't need it.
I knew exactly what the boy was thinking, the blond boy, and he liked Lena. That look was very familiar to me.
Although Lena did not pay attention to him, however, I was curious about what Lena's reaction would be.
I kept a short distance away because I was worried that Lena might recognize me.
Of course, I will pay for this decision I made afterward.
I think Lena should have also noticed the wave thing, but I have enough confidence in Lena. I still did not choose to approach her.
That is until they decided to rescue the drowning girl.
I have a vague sense of something not so good.
The hunch was right.
The blond boy was swimming fast, and I knew he didn't want to leave Lena behind, but simply wanted to get the girl back quickly.
But Lena's physical strength was already in question.
I've decided to go to Lena. Because the waves were already getting bigger.
But I still didn't get there.
I watched as the wave hit Lena's body, and the blond boy in the distance seemed to want to hurry and swim back to get Lena up, but he had another person with him to take care of.
I was slightly relieved until I saw Lena out of the water again, but my speed still didn't slow down.
I would have thought that Lena could have held out.
However, I was proven wrong.
Another wave, this one engulfing Lena directly.
"Lena!" I shouted uncontrollably, no longer daring to hesitate.
At that moment, I felt like I couldn't breathe.
I used the fastest speed to the place where Lena disappeared, and then, I swam directly into the water.
I saw Lena underwater.
She seems to have lost consciousness and is slowly falling.
I held my breath as I desperately plucked away the water and swam towards Lena.
Faster! Faster!
The moment I took Lena's hand, I held her into my arms with all my might.
It wasn't until we both surfaced that I felt my heart beating again.
At that moment, my mind was blank inside, with only one thought - I caught her, this time, I caught her.
