Chapter 80 Rescue
(Rafael's POV)
I don't know, what does William wants to do.
Although I've been wary of William's little moves in many ways, and William hasn't done much, he's been a lot more peaceful than the time he first came to the Hill.
However, I am still very worried. There is a good chance that William is planning something else, and I know that I don't notice it right now.
I felt uneasy, but more than that, I was confused.
William can't have any action.
The party wasn't really important, because it was mainly for William and the others - he ended up with a portion of the equity and, with more supporters. However, I still don't see William as a very scary competitor.
This evening, I didn't notice Lena. Lena was at the party, but there were just too many people here. However, I had already arranged everything in advance, and when the party was over, I would take Lena home and end this cold war once and for all by the way.
There is no way I can stand the current state anymore.
I just walked backstage and was going to call Lena to confirm her current location. Only, my call didn't connect.
At first, I thought Lena was still mad at me, but soon Landon put in a call.
"Mr. Raphael, something's happened."
Landon rarely uses such a panicked tone, and I immediately realized the seriousness of the matter.
My mood quickly got tense, but I knew I couldn't panic now.
I took a deep breath.
My voice calmed down, "Landon, what the hell is going on."
"Mr. Raphael, Mr. William has done something to the scene of the party."
My brow furrowed.
According to what I know about William, even if William wants to deal with me again, he will not let his interests be affected.
He should not have done such a thing.
"What else? Just tampering with the venue?"
Landon was suddenly silent, which made my mood even more irritable.
"Go ahead, what else is going on."
"Mr. William seemed to want to confess his love for his wife, but she did not say yes to him."
It was as if something had hit my body, and at that moment, anger surged through me and I couldn't control my body.
"Where are they now?" I had tried to suppress my anger, but it didn't help much.
"They're still in the lobby right now."
I almost rushed out of the room.
When I started running, I didn't seem to know how I should think anymore.
I finally understood why William did not continue to interfere with my work during this time, because, he had more important things to do.
I certainly believe that Lena will not agree to William's proposal, but, whether William will hurt Lena or not, I can not be sure.
My heart was about to beat out of my chest.
Sweat also slipped down my cheeks.
I wish I could grow a pair of wings or have the same speed as Superman.
I shudder to think what else William wants to do.
The moment I pushed the door of the venue open, my breathing seemed to stop because I couldn't find any trace of Lena.
My eyes began to search the entire party scene, but my vision was really limited.
I took a deep breath, not caring about the others, and when I had calmed down a bit, I called Landon, "Where did they go?"
"I saw the surveillance, madam, they had left the venue, but the surveillance in the hallway outside the venue did not capture them."
I reached out and touched my forehead with some despair, then, I tried to say in a calm and restrained voice: "Pull out all the surveillance, they can't have left here, the surveillance at the door must have been able to capture them, Landon, report back to me as soon as there is a situation."
"I see, Mr. Raphael."
I hung up the phone and made my way through the crowd, and as I walked to another entrance, a man with brown hair suddenly came up to me.
"Mr. Rafael, wait."
I glanced at the man as he walked up to me, "You want to find Lena, don't you?"
"Do you know where she is now?"
The man shook his head, "No, I don't know, but, I do know that she turned left after she and Mr. William went out, and also, this is the phone that Lena left behind."
The man handed me the phone, I nodded and did not dare to continue to delay, then I walked out from pushing open the door.
At this time, Landon put in a call.
"Mr. Raphael, the surveillance caught them disappearing to the stairway on the second floor, where there is a lounge, and Mr. William most likely took Madame there."
"I got it."
I ran towards that with almost all my speed.
Lena, hold on a little longer, I'll be right there to save you!
(Lena's POV)
William's gaze terrified me, and I suddenly realized that William had changed.
I didn't know the current William.
Once William, who was very gentle with me, would certainly not treat me as roughly as he does now.
I shook my head in horror, unable to believe what was happening in front of me, "William, you better let go of me right now!"
"No, Lena, I can't give you up, I have to have you." William's tone was almost pleading as he moved even closer to me, his breath already spraying over my body.
I tried to break free from William's grip, which was not easy. William's strength was so strong that my head began to hurt violently again.
"William, do you know what the hell you're doing?" My cheeks were already red, but still, William did not falter.
His palm has touched my waist, and even if I struggle frantically, he can easily keep me under control.
"Please, William." My voice had broken, and my tears were about to be uncontrollable. At this time, William's movements suddenly stopped.
William reached out and gently stroked my cheek as he wiped away my tears, and I looked at William sadly.
But when I thought William was finally going to give up, he took me by the hand and pushed me into a room.
It was like I had suddenly hit rock bottom and I couldn't believe what was happening in front of me.
I couldn't even make a sound to call for help, the shock had paralyzed my sanity. My sanity was only slightly clearer when William pushed my entire body down on the couch.
"No-" I coughed hard, which made my voice a little louder, "William, before it gets to the end."
"Lena, we can't go back anymore." William reached out his hand, he cupped my cheek and said in the gentlest of tones.
However, William's hands continued to roam above my body.
I knew exactly what he was trying to do to me.
"Why?"
"Lena, is it because you and Rafael have already had a relationship that you are not able to accept me?"
I frantically had to shake my head, unable to understand why on earth William would think that.
"It's okay Lena, I don't mind that at all and I'll prove it to you," William said as he continued to move closer to me, trying to kiss me.
But, I didn't give him that chance.
I quickly turned my head away, trying to avoid William's movements.
But it wasn't easy.
It was then that I realized just how rude William's actions were.
He held me down on the couch and didn't give me a chance to break free.
I tried to rouse William's reason with words, but, William remained unaffected.
He almost tore my skirt, and William's rough movements were a constant source of nerve stimulation.
I always felt that this scene was somewhat familiar, but I could not recall exactly where I had experienced it.
William held my whole body in his arms and my tears fell, but William still didn't stop.
"William, please, leave me alone."
I was almost pleading with William, my mind had conjured up the image of Raphael, and I imagined that Raphael could come to my rescue, but, I knew there was no such possibility.
Desperation made me feel suffocated, William gently wiped away my tears, but his palm still touched my breast, he wanted to kiss me, I wouldn't give him that chance.
When William's lips came up again, I bit right into them.
I heard William's scream as he panicked and pushed me away, and I was pushed straight to the ground by him. Even though I felt the pain, I didn't cry out. I looked aside at William indifferently.
He does not deserve my pity.
"Lena, if you hadn't come back to New York and met Rafael, would you have fallen in love with me?" William's voice had trembled a little, he looked like he was begging me, I had never seen him look like this before.
But I sneered, and I said in an icy tone, "Never, William, I could never fall in love with you, even if I hadn't met Raphael."
I finally got those words out.
Jerry is right, I should have said these words a long time ago.
It is because of my hesitation that I have created the situation today.
I looked desperately at William, who didn't seem to believe a word I was saying as he shook his head frantically, "No, it can't be! I don't believe it!"
William stood up again, and he walked towards me. My eyes widened, completely surprised that he wouldn't give up yet.
I shook my head and stepped back, but William was still slowly approaching me.
I eventually ran out of ways to back out.
Perhaps, this is God's punishment for me.
I closed my eyes and waited for the final moment.
Bang--
A loud crash suddenly sounded and I snapped my own eyes open, then, in shock, I looked at the door.
Another bang!
The door was kicked open and Rafael stood there.
Suddenly I couldn't breathe.
