Chapter 71 Lena's transfer
(Lena's POV)
How exactly did the matter end?
To be honest, I don't want to remember.
I didn't expect at all that Raphael and William would magically agree. They both felt that it's better if I don't ask too many questions about these things.
I was angry and wanted to pursue the matter, but Rafael didn't give me any chance. He directly asked Landon to bring the arranged doctor over, and he said that my body needed to rest now.
God, don't I know what's going on in my own body?
After I redid my walk back to Raphael's office, I was forced to be examined by a doctor.
I didn't even wait for Rafael and went straight back home.
I really can't figure out such a situation anymore.
But when I saw Raphael's home, I suddenly felt a sense of sadness which almost overwhelmed me.
I sobbed silently, then pushed the door open and walked in. Miller wasn't at home, she had already said hello beforehand and had taken Jamie out.
I sat on the couch, not knowing what White was going to do next.
Rafael soon came back after me, but I didn't want to see him.
"Lena, I know you have a lot of questions you want to ask." Raphael's expression was not very pleasant, his face was gloomy, and even his tone carried an agitation.
However, it was Raphael's attitude that made me even angrier.
"Raphael, if you don't have the means to tell me everything honestly, I don't think there's any need for us to be together. Are you still going to keep it all from me?"
My brow furrowed.
At this time, Rafael approached me, he looked at me with such serious eyes, but, I could not feel a hint of heart.
Rafael reached out and gently rubbed my brow as he told me, "Please, just wait a little longer, Lena, I'll think of a way to bring your memory back."
But I don't need such a promise from him, as long as he tells me the truth, as long as they want, even if it's William or someone else.
I don't need to recover my memory, I just need someone to tell me. Is it so simple that they don't understand?
"Lena, we all need to calm down."
"I think so."
We didn't speak to each other for quite some time. Such a bad state of affairs between us had been discovered by others.
Miller even asked me with great concern what had happened. However, although I know that I and Miller used to have a very good relationship, I still can not honestly tell Miller all this.
Jamie has also become so well behaved that he doesn't even bother us anymore.
Although our current relationship is very awkward, since I once said I would work at Hill Group, I will do it.
So we kept it that way for a few days, and we didn't say a word at home. However, it was still impossible to avoid communication at work. I didn't feel bad about this situation, on the contrary, I was a little glad that I wasn't brave enough to leave Rafael right now.
I know I love him, and I'm angry simply because he won't tell me the truth, but I do love him.
Also, one thing I found out is that William also works at Hill Group.
The bad news is that William is avoiding me just as much.
This day, I came to work as usual. However, I suddenly noticed that other people looked at me a little differently than usual.
I didn't know what was going on, but my gut was telling me that it didn't seem like a good day for me to come to the office.
I just walked up the elevator, there was already someone inside the elevator, and the other person took a careful look at me before darting back to his sight.
I pretended not to care and walked out of the elevator. At this time, some people came up to me, and they looked at me with the same very strange eyes.
What is going on today?
My brow furrowed until I walked to Raphael's office, and Raphael wasn't there.
Just as I was wondering, Raphael's office was suddenly opened and Landon walked in from outside, he didn't look surprised to see me.
"Good morning, Landon, do you know where Raphael is?"
Landon pushed up his glasses as he looked at me and said, "Mr. Raphael is in the conference room, but he may not be able to come out right now."
"Is this meeting going to belong?"
"Yes, it's important."
"Thanks."
"Ma'am."
I looked to Landon: "What's wrong?"
"I don't know exactly what happened between you two, but I think one thing you should know very well is that no matter what you do, Mr. Raphael will never harm you."
I smiled at him.
"Yes, I'm well aware of that."
"William is back now, his purpose is clear, you are Mr. Raphael's interpreter and his half secretary, and I'm telling you this. Just want to tell you a little about Mr. Raphael's accident, your situation will also become very difficult."
What Landon said made my heart feel a little uncomfortable.
My smile quickly disappeared. Out of courtesy, I remained patient and listened.
"Thank you, Landon, I know what to do."
(William's POV)
Until now, Rafael has tried very hard to prevent me from returning to the Hill Group.
However, no matter what you do, you have to pay the price in the end. Those people that Rafael went to great lengths to suppress at the beginning are now supporting me, and I think Rafael probably never dreamed that this day would come.
The atmosphere in the meeting room was intense, but I never said more than a word. After all, I had just returned and could not yet reveal too much of my threatening nature.
However, Raphael's situation is much more difficult.
They argued for a long time, and in the end, they didn't discuss a result. Rafael no longer wanted to listen, he no longer had much patience, I could tell, I know him very well.
He suddenly stood up and then walked out of the conference room.
Things have come to this point and I have achieved my goal.
The meeting ended very haphazardly, and I followed, not even sharing an extra look with Raphael.
To be honest, I didn't mind complicating the timing a bit, as long as I could cause some trouble for Raphael, I was satisfied.
Of course, I didn't expect this trouble to affect Lena a few days later.
I hadn't seen Lena in a long time, and although my heart wanted to see her so badly, I knew the time wasn't admittedly ripe.
Raphael was forced to make some changes to the people around him for some reason, but I didn't expect Lena to be included in it.
I looked at the people who had been moved and my eyes rested on Lena's name.
"Where is this person now?"
"It has been downgraded to the general department, it seems to be just a clerk, but she was Mr. Raphael's translator before, and ......"
"I got it."
I knew what he was going to say. When I came to Hill Group on the first day, I had already heard a lot of rumors about coming to Fuyang. Five years ago. Rafael's married wife suddenly disappeared. At that time this matter was also directly on the news.
But no matter how much Raphael looked for it, he didn't find it - that's for sure.
Five years later, Lena reappears, she remembers nothing, and everyone thinks it's a conspiracy.
In the beginning, she was premeditatedly close to Raphael, five years later to re-enter, must also have a purpose.
Although they appear to be very polite to Lena, privately they have begun to curse Lena as a bad woman.
But I knew that even if I told Lena now, Lena wouldn't believe me.
So, I had to make some tactics and use some contacts to force Raphael to have to get rid of Lena.
Originally, he already held the most shares, but now that I'm back and my father supports me, some shareholders are already trying to pull me in.
It's a matter of getting things done.
Raphael had to respond in some way accordingly if he wanted to enlist their hearts.
That's all Raphael can do.
And that's just it.
I was in a pretty good mood and had to walk down the road with the presence of mind to say hello to people who had just started shortly.
They seem to like me too, but I don't care what kind of attitude they have towards me.
Now I'm going to go see Lena, and in the meantime, I'm going to keep thinking about how all this work is going to work.
After being away from Raphael, Lena seemed to be in good shape. She worked very carefully and didn't care about the changes in her surroundings, though I could still detect some people pointing at her.
Of course, Lena was very strong. During those five years, I saw firsthand how strong she was.
She looks as if she is even more beautiful than before, with purple eyes, long soft hair, and long slender arms. I miss her very much after not seeing her for so long.
My thoughts gradually calmed down.
One idea never went away, even though I had been rejected by Lena for a long time. However, I still intend to try a style.
Take advantage of the fact that Rafael made a bad decision.
At this time, Lena suddenly stood up, then, she took the water cup and walked to the side of the coffee machine.
I just wanted to see Lena, and I didn't want to disturb her.
Just as I was about to walk away, I suddenly heard a scream coming from inside.
I looked over at the sound and found a woman who had been splashed with coffee.
"Newcomer, are your eyes blind to the road?" The woman shouted very sharply.
Lena held up her coffee in her hand and looked at the woman in front of her with a flustered look on her face: "I'm sorry, but, it was you who bumped into me, and I had nothing to do with it."
