Chapter 88 New decision
(Lena's POV)
I looked at Rafael in front of me and it took a long time to notice that he seemed a little jealous.
The reason, of course, is simple: it has to do with Justin.
However, I think there is a reason why Rafael hasn't said much to me yet, he doesn't see Justin as an opponent at all.
"Do you have something else to say to me?"
Once I offered my kiss, Raphael would no longer say anything else.
Sure enough, his expression soon eased, and then, returning to his seat, he said pleasantly to me, "Take a rest, and if you want to continue swimming, I will accompany you."
I just wanted to say yes, but when I thought about what happened today, I couldn't say the words that came to my mouth.
"Forget it, wait until next time."
Raphael looked at me and gave a soft laugh, "To be honest, you freaked me out today, Lena."
My gaze softened, which was normal, not only Raphael, but even I was afraid.
"Fortunately, you are there."
I paused and continued, "At that time, I thought I was hallucinating, but I didn't think it was you."
"I know."
I couldn't help but laugh a little: "The moment I opened my eyes, I thought I had gone to heaven, I thought you were an illusion, I didn't think Justin was there, and Jamie, and I reacted, maybe I didn't die, you came to me."
Rafael did not speak, he looked at me quietly.
So, I continued, "Actually, I was hoping you could come with me before you showed up."
"Why?"
"Confidential."
Rafael looked at me and raised one eyebrow.
I was not going to tell Rafael that I simply wanted to go swimming and that's why I wanted Rafael to be there.
Of course, none of this matters anymore.
"Well, you're here now anyway, so why don't you enjoy it with me, and by the way, thanks to those guys for today."
I mean Emily and them.
When I finished, I looked to the side.
Raphael had the place wrapped up directly and it was not a difficult thing to find them.
Emily and the others, however, were not here.
"Strange, where did they both go?"
Just when I was confused, I suddenly heard a noise at the door.
I gave Rafael a look, and then, together, we stood up, and Emily's friends were in tune.
I pushed open the door and saw Emily's back - she walked straight away,
Justin was the only one at the door.
Justin gave me a look. Didn't say anything.
"What's wrong with Emily? What happened?"
"Don't worry about her, she's back at the hotel."
My brow furrowed as I saw the palm print on Justin's cheek the moment he turned around.
"You two fought?"
"It's just that she had a one-sided fight with me." Justin shrugged and didn't explain much.
"Don't worry about her, all go back, after a while, she will figure it out on her own."
Despite what Justin said, however, I couldn't help but worry about Emily's situation.
"If there is something between you, make sure you explain it," I said softly.
Justin gave me a look, he didn't say anything, just looked at me with his blue eyes.
Although I didn't know what he was trying to express to me.
But just as I was about to ask, Raphael suddenly reached out and put his arm around me in a bad way.
I looked up and glanced at Rafael.
This time, the two of them looked at each other.
Rafael didn't look at me, but he said to me, "If you're worried about her, you can take a look at her when you get back to the hotel."
I nodded my head.
But now, it seems I have something new to worry about.
This atmosphere is very tense, and Rafael and Justin look at each other, neither one is the first to avert their eyes.
I knew that I had to stop them.
I took a deep breath and then said, "Justin, what about the girl you rescued?"
Thank God Justin finally moved away and he looked at me and said, "The doctor said there's nothing major wrong with her, Lena, you should be concerned about yourself."
I pursed up my lips and didn't say anything.
"Lena doesn't need your attention, I'll take care of her," Rafael said.
My alarm bells were ringing and my instincts told me that I should run away now.
Justin didn't hesitate to say, "If you could take care of Lena, she wouldn't have been in trouble today."
Justin's tone was mean, and although Rafael was slightly taller than Justin, that didn't stop Justin from looking at Rafael angrily.
I felt Raphael's strength grow, "I've got her well protected, and you've crossed the line now."
Justin seemed intent on saying something again, and I knew that if I didn't stop it, things would be completely out of my control.
"I'm going to check on Emily now." With that, I broke away from Rafael's embrace.
I didn't turn around and even had the feeling of running away.
I wasn't going to interfere in their fight, and anyway, by the time I got back, I wasn't likely to see Justin again. Of course, Rafael might still regret his childish behavior.
That's all for later.
I went back to the hotel, found Emily's room, and when I knocked on the door, I saw Emily who was crying.
"Honey, are you okay?" I asked with concern.
Emily smiled at me, albeit a very forced one.
She invited me in, turned around, and tried to get me a little drink, and I stopped her.
"I don't need those, I'm just a little worried about you so I came over to see what's going on with you."
Emily sighed as she looked at me and shook her head, "I'm sorry, Lena, for worrying you, actually, I just had some conflicts with Justin, but it happens to us all the time, and the others are used to it."
At this time, I realized that the others had gone back inside the restaurant after seeing what had happened to the two of them.
"Although they have gotten used to it, Emily, the problem will become worse and worse if you don't solve it in time after having a conflict."
Emily looked at me and she seemed to want to say something to me, but before she could say anything, she closed her mouth again.
"What's wrong?"
"Lena, is it true that you don't like Justin?"
I now know why Emily wouldn't talk to me about what was going on between them.
I took a breath and then said, "Of course, I don't like Justin, Emily, I think the thing is obvious, I'm married and have a child."
Emily felt like she had been punched in the face: "I had already told Justin, but, he wouldn't even listen to me, he never listened to me."
"So, did you fight because of me?"
Emily gave me a look, then, she nodded.
Before I could say anything, Emily panicked and explained, "Lena, I know what Justin did was wrong, and to be honest, I've tried to stop him, but it didn't work, which is why I slapped him, even though it didn't seem to help. However, you have to believe that he is not a bad person in person, he treats his friends like family I'm telling you the whole truth!"
I looked at Emily's panicked explanation to me, and for a moment did not hold back and laughed out loud directly.
After hearing my laugh, Emily shut up completely.
I nodded and reassured Emily, "I know, Emily, Justin isn't a bad guy, but you shouldn't be particularly worried, and I don't think it will take long for him to figure that out."
Understand that nothing is possible between us.
However, after hearing me say these words, Emily did not show a bit of happiness.
"What's wrong?"
"Lena, you don't know Justin, once he makes up his mind, he doesn't change his decision easily, he's always been this character, it's because I know him well that I'm so angry."
"Emily, I'd like to ask what exactly is your relationship with each other."
Emily looked over at me, "Justin and I have known each other since we were kids, we've been in the same school since elementary school and through college, and no one knows Justin better than I do."
I looked at Emily with a speechless expression and nodded hesitantly.
"Justin doesn't have a good family because his parents themselves don't have much of a relationship, and it's entirely because of him that there's no divorce, and that's something that bothers Justin, and to be honest, I think maybe it's this thing that makes Justin think that there's no relationship between you and your husband either."
I nodded and said hesitantly, "Maybe if I go and explain to Justin myself, he'll give up?"
Emily, however, shook her head: "I've tried, Lena, I've told Justin all this long ago, but he said he didn't believe it, and I don't think he'll give up easily even if you go and talk to him yourself."
Emily suddenly leaned closer to me and she lowered her voice and said, "Justin always thought that you were forced by your husband to do that."
I didn't even know what kind of expression I should put on.
If it were before, I might even think Justin was right, but now that's a complete impossibility.
After Emily's explanation, I finally realized that the matter was not as simple as I thought it would be.
After saying goodbye to Emily, I immediately went to see Rafael.
I was going to continue to stay in Hawaii for a few more days, but now, my mind has changed.
I have to leave as soon as possible, I can't continue to stay here.
