I did feel like his girlfriend every time he kissed me before he left, even when he was just going to the bathroom. But this was way better, I mean you can't beat the feeling of going shopping with a man you are in love with, albeit a one sided love.
I'll admit the fact that he was wearing a carton type of brown colored shirt that matched the shirt dress I was wearing was not in any way a coincidence. I carefully planned out the outfits and laid his on the bed. He thought nothing of it when he came back out of the bathroom and gave me a kiss before dressing up.
As he parked in front of the mall, I slung my bag on my shoulder as we got out. My hand in his, now everyone should have an idea that we were together.. ish.
"We never had breakfast." I whine.
He looked down at me, literally and kissed my nose.
"We have to get you fed." He led me to the food court, I see the looks people give us, they think we are a newly wedded couple. The thought makes me excited.
"Cheese burger?" He asked as we find a spot to sit.
He is oblivious to the stares we got. His attention is completely rooted to me.
"Nothing less."
He laughed before signalling the waiter. He placed the order for our food.
"We are eating burgers now only to eat them later." He frowned.
I was sure he was calculating the number of calories in all of them.
"We can eat something else if you want."
"We are already here, let's just eat. Before they come we will have something else, maybe a salad? Just to mix things up a little bit."
"Sure. Of course."
"You look extremely beautiful. I can't stop staring at you."
I can't stop the blush that creeps up to my cheeks.
"You look extremely ravishing as well."
He smirks at me.
"Been reading Shakespeare lately?"
I laugh so hard I'm sure I hear myself snort.
"Maybe?"
"It shows, I expect more from you."
I play along so I nod.
"Do you know that girl?" I ask him a little irritated.
The girl has been staring at Kenny like he was candy on a stick and she wanted him. It was irritating me. She was supposed to stay in her lane as we wore matching outfits. Right?
"What girl?" He asked in confusion before turning to look at the said girl.
His eyes flicker with recognition, but no fear in them whatsoever. He was okay that I saw her, that meant there was nothing between them.
"Oh, that's Theresa." He looked away from her and back to me.
"Is she an ex girlfriend?"
I ask as casually as I could, trying my best to keep out any strain of jealousy.
"No she wasn't, we weren't that type of people to each other. But we did have sex.."
My eyes widen as I look at him.
"Oh come on, did you have sex with every girl in New York?" I can't contain the jealousy I felt. The anger, the jealousy, I only wondered if he treated her like he treated me. He took care of her because he was having sex with her, just like how he was doing with me.
He looked like I slapped him.
"No I didn't. You weren't even in the picture when we slept together. Why are you getting mad at me?"
I bite my tongue to hold back the words I was about to say.
"Lisa, I haven't been with any girl since the beginning of two of us, I promise you that. I don't want anyone else but you, plus Theresa and I never had what we have."
I smile shakily, the Theresa was coming towards us. Her strides were confident. And I saw the reason Kenny was sleeping with her. She had curves that I could only dream of. Her boobs were so huge it looked like they wanted to come out of her.
"She's coming here."
He doesn't even flinch, he was looking at me with an honest expression.
Luckily the waiter arrived with our food just as she arrived at the table.
"Sorry for the delay. Will you take your order here ma'am?"
"No I won't, I just came to say hi." She tells the waiter.
"Long time no see Kennedy."
I hated her voice, I hated how she called his name.
His eyes went from mine to her face, to his credit it didn't wander down to her open cleavage.
"You never told me you were ending our little arrangement. I have been waiting for you."
"My fault, I apologize. I've been so busy it completely slipped my mind."
She took a fry out of his plate and bit into it. That's when I can't take it anymore.
"Excuse me." My voice sounded like I was going to cry. I walk as confidently as I could away from the table and into the rest room.
I made sure I was in the right one before I leaned against the door. My heart was racing wildly in my chest so much that I place my palm on my chest to calm myself down.
"Get a grip on yourself Lisa or else he would know you're already in love with him." I tell myself as I walk away from the door to the mirror.
The door to the rest room swung open, and Theresa walked in. I hope my stare isn't so hateful because I have no reason to hate her. She was the one who didn't run away from him and they had sex while I was constantly on the run away from him.
"Are you Lisa?" She asked me as she reapplied her lip stick.
"Yeah.." I don't want to know how she knows my my name. I only want her to leave.
"You are extremely beautiful." She compliments.
My head whips towards her in shock.
She chuckled as she watched me from the mirror.
"What? Were you worried I was going to come in here and be a bitch to you?"
Sort of. I mean she was the one sizing him up like he was steak and she was hungry.
"Kennedy and I had a business transaction. He paid me for the sex. That's kind of what I do. Private satisfaction if you may. He was good no doubt, the best even, I'm not saying this to rile you up, I'm telling you it was nothing more. I assure you. I don't have feelings for him."
I blink you at her.
"Once he moaned your name while he was in me." She laughed. My eyebrows shoot up in surprise.
"In my line of business, it's a slap on the face. But it only shows it's you he wants. I'm thinking he has feelings for you."
I must have gone white with shock because she laughs.
"So you are the only one in love with him right now."
"He never said anything.. I haven't told him mine as well."
"You're trying to make him fall in love with you aren't you?"
"Is it that obvious?"
"Not at all. It's just the logical thing to do when you like someone."
"Do you think it'll work?"
"Well he's pacing out there, wondering why you are still in here. I think whatever you're doing, it's working."
