The beat of the music from the club was in sync with my heart, for some reason my heart was beating so I loud I could hear it, it felt like it was going to burst out of my chest any time soon.
At the risk of just standing there staring at her, while someone else who wasn't tongue tied whisked her away.
"Can I have this dance?" I nearly face palm as soon as I asked.
She snickered,
"What's this? Junior prom?"
I laugh a little,
"Humor me, It felt so unreal seeing you here again that I said the first thing can came to mind." We were shouting to hear ourselves over the best of the music.
"You know it's a club right? Not a coffee shop, we can't have that get to know you conversation here."
I felt heat crawl up my neck, of course I knew that, I was just to excited. Trying to get control of the situation, I pretend not to hear her.
"Let's just dance together instead!" I shout
She laughs a bit,
"Just to warn you, I'm not anything of a dancer."
"Don't worry, you'd look like a pro by my side." I assure.
She flashed me a genuine smile, and I could have sworn my heart stopped for a brief second.
"May the worse dancer win."
Was the last warning she gave before flailing her limbs in the air, to be honest it was an eye sore, it looked like she didn't even hear the rhythm of the music.
But she looked like she was having fun, so I join her, forgetting that we were surrounded by people.
By the fourth song, we were out of breath, we laughed as we tried to walk out of the dance hall. Due to the crowd, our bodies were pressed against each other.
My hand went around her waist so I didn't loose her. Unfortunately that position was encouraging things. Her skin against my hand was driving me nuts, I tried to restrain myself by thinking of other things, but my mind constantly thought of how her hips swayed as she danced earlier. The material of her top had jumped up all the time we danced, revealing the hot red lacy bra she wore underneath. Remembering the bra made me twitch. I could only imagine what was underneath it.
The only place that wasn't crowded with people was the spot I usually stayed, so I led us there. Every time we had to avoid a person I would drag her towards me, her perfume saturated my nose, making it's way to my brain to leave a permanent imprint.
We finally got there and we plumped down on the sofa. Both us out of breath, me half from the dancing, and the other half was from the arousal I felt. I was breathing hard. I don't know about her, maybe it was just the dance, but she was breathing hard too.
"That was epic!" She exclaimed. She sounded excited, and that made me happy, if she was excited to do something as simple as dancing with me, she must not hate me.
"I agree, I mean I never thought I'd see someone who danced worse than I did."
She laughed hard.
"I did give you a warning."
"I mean how can you be that bad?" I ask seriously. At one point I had a real fear that she was going to break something.
"Hey! You weren't that good yourself." She crossed her arms on her chest defensively.
The movement brought my eyes to her chest, it was still heaving lightly from the dance. It was entrancing to watch.
After a few minutes of staring, I heard her cough awkwardly, bringing me out of the trance to watch her face.
"I'm sorry." I apologize quickly.
She gave me a firm nod. But the silence that followed was thick with awkwardness. I regretted my actions instantly. I turn away from her to look at a fake plant by my side, before I looked at something else again.
I didn't know what to do next, or what to say.
"You want a drink?" I turn to ask.
Our lips met instantly. My eyes widened, she kissed me right? I didn't hit her with my lips right?
She answered the question by deepening the kiss. I took the reins, by dragging her close to me, then placing her on my laps, all this while connected by the kiss.
And just like all the times we kissed, I felt all the emotions wash all over me, if the kiss could go any deeper, I'd deepen it, but since it couldn't, I kissed her slowly. Like we had all the time in the world. And truthfully, it felt like everything good in the world was happening to me in that short period of time.
She tasted sweet, like she had a pineapple juice, i smiled against her lips, who drank pineapple juice in a club?
My hands moved from it's place on her hips to her sides, I ran them up and down slowly. Kneading the skin that was exposed.
She whimpered a little. Halting my movements, I didn't want to hurt her, I wouldn't even live with myself if I ever did that.
Her hand came down to mine, gently she picked it up and placed it back on her sides, telling me it was okay, and this time when she whimpered I didn't stop.
Suddenly she broke the kiss, both of us were out of breath. She leaned against my forehead as she breathed. Her eyes were closed but she still like an angel.
"Why can't I avoid you?" She whispered. More to herself than me.
"For what's worth, I can't avoid you too." I tell her sincerely.
Her eyes opened, and she smiled tight lipped.
"I hear you were by the company, to look for me?"
I give her a nervous smile,
"Desperate times call for desperate measures?" I ask rhetorically.
She let out a breathy laugh.
"All for what? To get into my pants?"
