My office shoes squeaked on the pavement as I walked out my house. I was prepared to make this the worst date she had ever been on, just so we would never meet again. How did she even come up with the tears? Why did she even lie about the tears? And how can't mom see through her facade? My garage was dusty as I hadn't been in there in a really long time.
She had gauged me on my expensive car the last time we met, I was planning on using the least expensive one, and say the first one belonged to my friend. Then she would be Cam's business. My plan was pretty fool proof you see, but I was dealing with the weirdo named Evangeline, it might not even work.
The car was not dusty as the garage, but it felt off, I didn't remember when last I used it. I revved up the engine, it made a purring sound I didn't realize I had missed so much.
I backed out of the car slowly, as it reversed I remembered the first time I got the car. Cam had suggested we celebrate, in the club. Classic Cameron. When we got there, I had picked up a blonde, we didn't even bother knowing each other's names. But we locked our lips in the most sloppy kiss I had ever had. She wasn't drunk, she was just a terrible kisser. Even when I tried to take the reins, she'd giggle and push me back, her teeth had a wrestling match with me, I could not feel my lips after the first few minutes. Worse? She loved to kiss.
I broke it and brought her to my car, just so I had an excuse to end the kiss.
"Some body has a nice ride.." she said eying the car and running her fore finger down my arm.
"That's not the only nice ride I have.." was my rebuttal.
She leaned in, coming for another kiss. I dodged slightly.
Thinking fast, I say.
"Why don't you show me what else that mouth can do." The second the words left my lips, I regretted it. I feared what else her mouth could do to me.
Her smile was sultry, like she knew what I was trying to do. We stood beside my car as she went on her knees, her fingers tried to undo my zippers, and for the first time, it did not excite me. In any way.
Sweat covered my forehead, if she used her teeth to kiss, she was most definitely going to use her teeth for something else.
I pushed her head back with more force than I intended. Shock was written all over her face.
"What the heck?"
I asked myself the same question, what made me do that, and I didn't know how to let her down slowly.
"Why don't we go in the car instead?" My quick thinking produced a question I did not intend to ask ever.
Her smile was way too bright. It made me smile uneasily. She got up to her feet, as I fumbled with the keys. I cursed myself internally.
Thankfully I thought fast and we had sex instead, nothing oral. Truth be told, it was the worst sex I ever had.
And now, I was in that same car, driving to the worst date, with the worst person in the world. It was like the car was cursed or something.
During my internal monologue, I had subconsciously driven myself to the location. My mood dampened even worse.
Like a light bulb, an idea lit in my head. My phone was in my hand in a split second I was scrolling through my contacts, hoping to find the one contact that might save me from this mess.
"Hello?" The voice answered from the other end.
"I need you here right now." Was all I said, I sent a text message containing the address.
My mood brightened a bit, if only I thought of this earlier. Evangeline would not know what hit her. I stepped out of the car. It was a breakfast place, mom had rented the whole place, to get on my good side I'm sure.
I stepped out of my car and into the building, the breakfast place was quiet, the only sounds were coming out of the kitchen, as the chef worked. I picked the seat by the window. The waiter was strolling to me, I waved him off as Evangeline breezed in.
Two deep breaths could never prepare me enough for Evangeline, but I took them anyway.
"Look who came back?" Her voice was haughty.
Irritation started to build,
"I didn't "come back", I was forced to come back." I tell her.
She shrugged dismissively. Today she wore baggy pants, with an even baggier blouse. There was an obvious sauce stain in the middle but it didn't seem to faze her.
Today her excess bags weren't far from her, she flung them on the chair and plopped down on them. I winced visibly.
"Where did you park your car? I searched but couldn't find it."
I smirked, so she did fall for my trap.
"I parked in front of the building.. didn't you see it?"
Her face broke into confused fragments.
"No, I only saw one that might belong to the chef or the waiter. Nope, definitely the waiter, it looks like something a waiter should own."
"Oh, that's embarrassing.. because it's mine."
She laughed, her laugh was even more embarrassing.
"That was funny."
One look at my face and she saw I wasn't even joking.
"The one from the other day?"
"Oh that, it's one of my friend's, I returned it."
The look on her face was pure gold. I was so excited to see that. She swallowed forcefully.
"What do you mean?"
Before I could answer, Theresa in all her dark make up glory walked in.
I smiled at the last card I had. She sighted me, frowned a bit but still walked towards me.
"Hello baby." I purred to her as she strutted towards us.
She frowned but covered it as quickly as it came.
"Did I keep you waiting?" She asked as I hugged her.
"I'll explain later." I whispered directly into her ear.
"You're paying double." She whispered back.
"What the fuck?!" Evangeline exploded.
"Oh hey, Evangeline meet my baby.. "
"YOUR WHAT??" she interrupted.
"You know what?? I don't even like your car, YOU don't deserve me, you can die in between her breasts for all I care!" She exclaimed before stomping out.
I turned to look at Theresa, she was dressed as half naked as the night I met her. I smiled, I killed one bird with one stone. My day could not get any better than this.
