"OH MY GOD!! Yes! Yes!! Yes!! Are you kidding me? I would love to be your girlfriend." I squeal.
He looked like he was holding his breath, he released it as he squeezed me into a hug, as usual I melt into his muscled arms.
"You have no idea how happy that makes me Mimosa." He says into my hair.
My heart jackhammered in my chest, I made him happy by saying yes to him? He made me the happiest woman alive by asking me.
"You are my boyfriend now." I say in a voice that sounded very sugary.
He chuckled, "And you my girlfriend."
I feel myself melt against him as he says the words. If I could melt even further, I would.
"Are we going somewhere?" I ask him, the helicopter was still in motion, the will you be my girlfriend balloons long out of sight.
He pulled my face up to face his. God he was perfectly handsome, not a single flaw on his chiseled jaw.
"We have to celebrate don't we?"
I could feel my face split into two unequal parts from smiling so hard.
"What are we celebrating? My new job which is my dream job by the way, or our relationship."
He placed a chaste kiss on my lips. I shiver from the contact. His grin mirroring mine.
"Both."
I snuggle into him as I watched the scenery from above. If only my mom could see me now. I have a job now, and a boyfriend who had his own helicopter, and my life has changed since I met him. I say a quick thank you to whoever was listening up there.
The helicopter starts to descend too soon, and Kenny must have noticed my disappointment, because he chuckles.
"Don't worry, we can ride it any time you want."
My eyes widen like a four year old being told they could get as much candy as they would like.
"Any time I want?"
"Yes Mimosa. Anytime." He repeats as he helps me climb down the helicopter.
His fingers start brushing through my hair, and all I could do was stare as his brows furrowed in concentration, like making my hair perfect was his task. I felt so blessed in that minute. Like everything I prayed for, everything I hoped for had come to pass.
A proud smile sweeps his entire features, as he stared at his handiwork.
"There. I forget how windy it gets up there sometimes."
His eyes finally rest on mine and I'm once again shocked by how pretty they are.
"You are so beautiful." We say in unison.
And we burst out laughing at the randomness of it all. His hand finds mine, fitting perfectly around each other.
When we climb down the helipad and into the building, I notice that the place is huge, beautiful and screamed expensive. Soft violin music wasted from somewhere, and when I look up, there were violinists tucked into the white and gold design of the restaurant. Almost like they were part of the decor.
"Wow. This place is stunning."
My eyes can't get enough of the interior design. I find someone I recognize sitting by herself at the far corner. My eyes bulged.
"That is Caroline Anderson!"
Kenny frowned in confusion, as he pulled out a seat for me.
"Who?"
"Caroline Anderson!! The actress who started acting before she could talk, starred in all the blockbuster movies you can find?" I say in a rush but my eyes don't leave her. She looked as elegant as in the movies, but somehow I never imagined her to be so.. normal. She was always in action movies.
"I'm not much for television." He chuckled.
My eyes stray to a couple sitting just a table away from us, my eyes bulged once more.
"That is literally the president of America and her husband!" I could not believe my eyes, I never met these people even if I live in NewYork.
Kenny looked over at them and this ones he knows.
"Yeah, this place is usually packed with celebrities and famous people."
He says this so casually.
"Wow. Being rich must have it's perks." I muse.
Everyone seemed perfectly at ease here, they were used to eating with celebrities.
"We can go greet them if you like."
I perk up for a second then deflate. I was not going to be that poor girl that finally gets into the rich circle and embarrasses herself.
"Nah, they get bombarded enough by fans, they can have their peace and quiet."
Kenny smiled and picked up his menu then dropped it.
"We should order everything on the menu."
"Why?"
"Because it is a celebration dinner."
I laughed quietly.
"And we won't be able to finish it."
He shrugged.
"We can take it back home."
My stomach did a little flip at the word home. We were in a relationship and we lived together. I am living with the world's best gamer. I am in a relationship with him. He loves me. It deserves a celebration.
I blush.
"Let us get everything." I agree.
He beams at me before flagging down a waiter. My eyes leave him long enough to take in the other guests, many celebrities littered the place. My jaw drops when I see James's crush from The Doctors. I take a quick subtle photo of him and send it to the her.
"How did you know this place? I imagine it isn't an easy place to get into, since it is filled with celebrities."
Kenny looks at the place as if seeing it for the first time.
"I don't know, I have always eaten here. I practically grew up here."
"You are kidding."
He shakes his head, "nope."
"You grew up eating fancy food with celebrities.. I am jealous of the life you have lived."
Something dark passes through his irises. Too fast for me to question it.
"Don't be." He says in a clipped tone. I was about to ask why when our waiter arrives with our appetizers on a trolley.
My mouth watered as the scent wafted through my nose.
I hear him before I see him, and suddenly my appetite is gone.
"I forgot to mention. This restaurant belongs to Cam's grand father. And I didn't know he'd be here today."
