The question seemed to hang in the air between us for a minute. We stared at each other, the air cackling with sexual tension, each breath we took reeked of lust. Even a blind man could feel the thickness of the threads that pulled us to each other sexually.
None of us acted on it, we just had a staring contest. I stared into her deep brown orbs. Desire lay thickly at the bottom, threatening to swallow me whole.
All the nerve endings in my body were ablaze with horny. I was sure if she stretched out a finger and lightly grazed my arm I was going to get a orgasm.
What the fuck is this girl doing to me?
I swallow thickly. our eyes never disconnected even sfor a second. Her bright red painted lips parted lightly, I had to close my eyes and squeeze my legs shut before I could imagine her mouth running up and down my shaft. My member twitched, signifying that my resistance was useless. My body reacted too much to her.
"I don't know.. really.. I haven't felt this way before so I can't put a label on it.." my voice come out as a hoarse whisper.
She blinked softly as if trying to remember what we were talking about before.
"Me too.."
I swallow. So we were both new to this feeling. Maybe that was why she was so skeptical of it, distrusting the emotions that made her want to jump the bones of a stranger, me on the other hand, I was ready to jump her bones, without even wondering what it was or bothering to slow down.
"So.. what do we do from here?"
She gave me no answer, telling me she didn't have an answer.
"Should we first acknowledge it?" I offer.
Her eyes flicker to my lips for two seconds, I could see her fight herself to able to look away.
"Acknowledge it?"
"Yeah.. we have to acknowledge the fact that something like this--" I gesture between us with my fore finger.
"Exists between us, and not run away from it."
She blushes. She must know I was talking about all the times she literally ran away from me.
"Okay. No running. Got it."
"Then we have to discuss it."
Her eyes hold a glimmer of confusion, as if to mask her confusion, she takes a swig from her coke.
"I meant discuss what it is. Extensively. Know what it is, and see what happens from there."
I watch the glimmer fizzle out as she nods in understanding.
"That would work. That would tell us what we are dealing with."
I smile at her, finally understanding why she was always on the run when she saw me, I was picture perfect for the unknown. Something odd, new, and definitely confusing.
I take a look around the room. Cam had disappeared.
She chuckled under her breath as if she knew something I didn't.
"He snuck out a while ago. Mouthed that I should keep quiet just as he left."
I chuckle.
"That is Cam for you."
"He sounds like a real charm." She added with a laugh.
I roll my eyes.
"A pain in the butt that one."
"Seems like a very close pain in the butt."
I notice we had rolled into a comfortable discussion, Cam was always a safety net, even in his absence, he was a topic of interest.
"Yeah, you could say he's that type of pain in butt that sticks with you forever."
She nodded as if she understood. I guess she had her own Cam, someone that was her safety net. For a brief second I wondered if I could be her safety net.
"I heard the guys from work say something about a bonfire." Her voice interrupted my thoughts.
"Bonfire?" I ask quirking my head to the side in question.
She nod enthusiastically. Her brown orbs sparkling with delight.
"Yeah, I heard it's really fun. Want to come with?"
I think about it for a second.
"If you have something to do it's fine." Her smile looked uncomfortable.
I shoot her a reassuring smile.
"Of course I'll come, I was thinking if I could invite my brother and his wife over, maybe Cam too."
She gave me an expression I couldn't read.
"Your brother?"
"Yeah, he's the reason I'm here actually." I remember that I had not seen Jonathan and his wife since we got down from the jet.
I smirk at her.
"You'd be surprised to know who his wife is actually."
She gave me a perplexed expression.
"Is she a celebrity?"
I laugh a little.
"To you.. maybe."
I fish out my phone and open the group text between Cam, Jonathan and I.
"What time is this bonfire again?"
"9:30 I think."
I shoot them a text asking them to come, Jonathan agrees almost immediately. Like he was waiting for me to ask. It takes Cam two seconds longer to respond, he responds with a couple of celebration emojis before sending yes in capital letters. I snort unattractively before putting the phone away.
"They all said yes."
She smiled brightly at me.
"That's great. I've never been to a bon fire before."
I look over to her, so we had something in common.
"Why not? Weren't you never invited?" I tease her.
She snorts before answering.
"Never really had the chance. I was always busy."
"Not even in high school?"
"Too many part time jobs." She laughed.
"And college?" I knew she said she hadn't attended, but I wanted to know more about her, what better way than to let her keep talking?
"Didn't attend." She said with a clipped tone.
I instinctively backed off, I knew what it meant to tell people to stay off certain topics related to you.
"I never attended any one either." I tell her, wasn't really sure why, but I wanted her to be assured we had something to relate to, together.
I liked how the word sounded, it made me.. happy. Together.
Her eyes flickered to me in surprise, her eyebrows nearly disappear into hair line.
"Really?"
I nod. Refusing to speak for the fear that my voice would come out as a groan.
"Why don't I believe you?"
"Why wouldn't you believe me?"
"Because you're you.."
I didn't even know what that meant.
"I was home schooled, never had an invite."
If her eyebrows nearly flew into her hairline before, it went into her hair now.
"No way."
I shrug.
"Then Cam?"
I guess she assumed Cam and I attended the same school.
"Our families were always friends.. so yeah. We are basically brothers."
"I guess it's both our first times then." Her voice was soft as she said it.
"Yeah."
The room was growing thick with tension again. Like someone was sucking the air out of it.
"We have to make the best of it."
I nod but my eyes were glued to her lips.
"What do they even do there?"
I thought about it for a minute, and our eyes meet, we burst into a fit of laughter.
We had no clue.
"I guess we'll wing it?"
She nodded. At the same time he stomach grumbled. She looked at me sheepishly.
"I haven't had anything to eat. The mention of wings set me off."
I blink. I hadn't had anything to eat either.
"Why don't we grab a bite?"
She moved to say no but I jump ony feet, taking off the bathrobe and swinging on the shirt I was wearing earlier. Her eyes bulged.
"Let's go." I say as I held her hand, ignoring the horny that was starting to make way.
"Kennedy?!" I heard Danielle's voice screech as soon as we stepped out of the hotel.
