Chapter seventeen

Sophia POV ~

Since I am already used to waking up early, I wake up as early as five o'clock. And I had nothing to do. I tried falling back asleep but I couldn’t so I decided to get up and make myself useful.

I thought of what to do, then I remembered that the Alphas have a private kitchen in this penthouse. So I decided to make us breakfast. I just hope they will like it after all they are Alphas and always eat the best food. I can testify that by the kind of food I ate yesterday during dinner. It was almost the same for my system.


I made my way downstairs. I am still awestruck with the beauty and luxury of this apartment. I can’t believe this is where I will be staying from one on. It feels like a dream and I am afraid to wake up one day and find out that all this is a dream and that I am back to my old wicked pack.

I made my way to the kitchen. Everything seems so spotless as if the kitchen has not been used for a long time. After much thought, I decided to make bacon and eggs for breakfast. I just hope they like it. It’s one of my favourite foods.
In forty-five minutes, I was done and packed the food in the flasks and kept it on the dining table. I went back to clear the kitchen. If there is one thing I learned about this pack's members is that they value neatness. I can’t remember seeing anything dirty since the first day I woke up in this pack. Just as I was done with clearing the kitchen, the Alphas came down.

“Good morning!”. I greeted them.

“Morning little mate. Hope you had a nice sleep.” Xiao greeted me back. I don’t know why he keeps calling me little mate. Well compared to their 6.2 feet height, my 5.6 can actually be considered as little.

“How was your night?”. Xavier greeted.

“Fine, thank you,” I responded looking at them. I noticed they were just like me where they were still in their night clothes.



“I could hear the smell of food. Did you order the maids to bring you breakfast?”. Xiao questioned.

“Emm… not actually, I prepared breakfast for us”. I said with my fingers crossed. I looked up and saw that both of them stood still as if they were angry. Bravo Sophia! You have succeeded in making them angry to the point of shock. I started making my way to the dining room so that I could clear it off but before I could take hold of the plates, Xavier grabbed me and pulled me into a tight hug. At first, I was surprised but I relaxed and hugged him back.


“Thank you! Thank you so much!”. Xavier keeps thanking me although I don’t understand the reason why he is thanking me. He finally let go of me but he had a big smile on his face. And so does Xiao.


I took some courage and asked; “ why are you thanking me this much?”.


“For being here. If you noticed, the kitchen has never been in use. That's because we want the person who will cook using the kitchen to be our mate. And after so many years, you made our dream come true!”. Xiao explained. Wow! So what Grace and Rose told me is indeed true. They were really eager to find their mate.

“You don’t have to thank me this much. It’s just breakfast. Come on, let's eat”. I said to both of them.

“Sure, let's eat!”. Xavier said and he pulled out the head seat for me and they both sat at my sides. We eat the food silently.

“Thank you for the meal”. They both said at the same time. I noticed they do that a lot. Maybe it’s a twin thing.


“It’s my pleasure”. I repeated the words they told me yet when I thanked them.

“So do you like your room? If you don’t, we can call the interior designer to come and change it for you .” Xavier asked me.

“No. I love it really”. I quickly said. Who am I to complain when I have a room fit for an empress?

“Okay, that’s good. We were wondering if you would like to go clothes shopping today. That is if you wish to go. You have been staying indoors for almost a week. It will be good if you go out and get some fresh air.” Xiao gently said as if he was trying not to offend me.


“I would love to. But I don’t have any money with me.” I embarrassingly responded. Truthfully, I need new clothes. I have already worn all the few ones Rose has brought for me then. I don’t want to be a burden to anyone, that's why I didn’t talk.


“O come on! Money can’t be a problem for you when you have us. Whenever you need anything, just ask and it shall be given unto you.”
Xavier stated and I nodded my head at him.


“I will give the pack’s best stylist a call so that she can help you out with the shopping okay?”. Xiao said.

“Okay!” I responded. Xiao then got up to make a call.


“Okay then since that is settled, you are entitled to a personal maid and personal guards for security purposes. We have already chosen your guards but I thought maybe you would like to choose your maid by yourself. Do you have anyone in mind?”. Xavier asked me.

I knew that arguing with them that I didn’t need a personal maid would not lead anywhere. I am thankful that they are allowing me to choose my maid by myself.

“I would like the maid who attended to me when I was in the Clinic to be my personal maid”. I said. I can’t actually remember her name but I loved her voice.


“You mean Jane. I will inform her about her new duties.” Xavier said just as Xiao came back.

“I spoke to the stylist. She will be here by ten.” Xiao explained.

“Okay, I will be ready by then”. I responded and stood up to pack the plates.

“Leave it. The maids will take care of it.” Xavier said as he pulled me out of the dining room.

“Go and relax. We will inform you when the stylist is here”. Xiao said and they both gave me a peck and went out for Alpha duties.

I made my way back to my room to have a nap before ten.
