Chapter seventy

***** Chapter nine of Rogue to Luna



Lucy's POV

Ava and I are going to be introduced to the pack today. I've never been in front of that many people, I'm so nervous. My heart is beating out of my chest and I'm
sweating profusely.

Ava seems to be calm. She is meeting some of Asa's friends soon to get her accustomed to meeting new people.
Speaking of which, Asa is just arriving with his friends. Eden, Cory, and Miller walk in after Asa steps through the door. Asa walks over to me,
hugging me from behind. I'm shocked when I hear Eden yell,
"Mate!"
I look to Eden and Ava in shock, surprised my best friend is gay. Ava looks down, embarrassed. Eden walks up to her, lifts her chin up and says,

"Hello, sweet mate. What's your name?"

Ava blushes even redder than she had before, and replies with a quiet, "Ava."
Eden looks her over and sees all the bandages wrapped on her body. Eden looks up into her eyes quickly and asks, "Who hurt you?
Who do I have to kill?"
Ava tried to calm her down, "Don't worry, it's basically just a bunch of scratches and a few broken bones.
I'll be fine."
She doesn't help much, and knowing Edens's serious yet sarcastic demeanour, she says sarcastically, "Oh, just a few
broken bones? That's practically nothing, right?"

Ava, not catching onto the sarcasm, nods her head quickly.
"Exactly."
Asa breaks into the conversation, trying to ease the tension rolling off of Eden. "Okay
I'm glad you met and all, but we have to introduce you guys to the pack! Let's get going.``
Eden grabs Ava's hand tightly and pulls her close. We all walk onto the stage, everyone standing in their respective positions based on rank. Asa is standing beside his parents, with me beside him. I look out into the crowd of over 900 people, and my anxiety is through the roof. So many people could be judging me right now; I can't handle it. I feel my breathing start to speed up, but before I can get far into my panic attack, Asa pulls me into his chest. This
It makes me blush, embarrassed he did that in front of everyone, even though it was needed.

Asher starts off the introduction,
"Hello, Royal Eclipse members, We have two important people to introduce to you today. They both came from Red Claw Pack and are here because they were mistreated there."

I'm glad he didn't say that I was kicked out; that reminder would bring back too many memories I'm trying to hide.

"First we have Ava; she came here in a bad state, her pack having beaten her. She was sent to send a message to threaten our second new pack member. Lucy is my son Asa's mate. The Red Claw
The pack is targeting her, trying to kill her. We must protect the future Luna and keep her safe," Asher finishes. "Welcome your new members, Ava and Lucy!"
Everyone cheers and makes me hide in Asa's chest, embarrassed. Everyone says a loud "awww," embarrassing me further.

We head off the stage, and I see Eden and Ava glued to each other's hips. They are perfect for each other.

Asa brings me back up to our room, and we get ready for bed.
Climbing into the comfortable bed, I feel Asa pull me into his chest. I cuddle into him, revelling in the feeling.
I couldn't ask for a better mate.


Lucy's POV

Asa has another surprise for me today. He is full of surprises, always keeping me guessing.
It's 6:00 p.m., and we are heading to his big black truck, all dressed up for the date. He said to wear something casual and easy to move in, whatever that means.
He said he didn't want this to be super formal, so when we pulled up to a small diner in the heart of town, I understood the casual clothing. We hop out of the truck and make our way in. We sit at a
booth near the window, I like to zone out and watch people walk by.

I order a hotdog and fries, while Asa orders a large bacon cheeseburger. We both get water to drink. I don't like soda, but I haven't had the luxury of having it since I was a child.

We eat, and Asa occasionally talks about himself or his life. He tries to ask questions about me, but I refuse to respond, not wanting to talk with all these people here.
After dinner, we walk to an ice cream shop and decide to get some. I smile up at the sign with joy, loving ice cream. Ice cream has always been my favourite food; nothing could beat it. The cold, creamy ice cream has a flavour that bursts into your mouth. It's delightful.
We walked into the honey ice cream shop. "What would you like to eat?

I'm getting the double chocolate fudge," Asa says while drooling at all the flavours.
I point to the chocolate chip cookie dough, loving the mix of vanilla ice cream with the cookie dough.
Asa nods and orders for us; the big man who takes our order is very sweet. He smiles at me when he hands me my cup of ice cream.

After paying, we take the ice cream and walk around the town.
I see people walking around with their families, wishing I still had something like that. Asa's family has been so accepting of me; they make me feel like I truly belong.
They are my family now.
We make our way back to the truck that's parked outside the diner. We hop in, with Ass saying we have one more destination on this date.

He drives back towards the pack house but makes a detour. He turns down a barren street that seems to lead to the mountain in the distance.
We arrive at the bottom of the mountain trail and soon start our hike. We hold hands and take in the view of the town far in the distance, away from all humans. I'm glad he brought me to somewhere remote, all those people were stressing me out.
I can speak freely here, feeling comfortable enough to do so.

We continue up the mountain, and I say, "This is beautiful."
looking over at the view. It's truly breathtaking.

Yes, it is," Asa says, looking at me. I smile at him and make the decision to lean in. This will be my first kiss, I've never remotely touched anyone like this before.
Aiden sees what I'm doing and also leans in. My eyes flutter closed and our lips collide. His soft lips meet my own, sparks flying.
The tingles erupt from our lips and travel down my entire body.
It's the most magical thing I've ever experienced.
I pull away to breathe, panting. Asa continues kissing me, moving down my neck and kissing where his mark will lay.
I shiver with pleasure, enjoying kissing where his mark will lie.
I shiver with pleasure, enjoying what he is doing.
I grab his hair and pull his face back up to mine, wanting my lips to be on his again. Asa smirks at me, and we kiss again, the passion never leaving. Asa's
tongue grazes my bottom lip, and I gasp in surprise. He takes this opportunity to shove his tongue into my mouth and start exploring.
I moan at the sensations he's making me feel; the feeling of his slick tongue in my mouth is so good.

We both pull away, breathing heavily. I look into his eyes and peck his lips one more time.
Tonight couldn't have gone any better.
