Chapter twenty six

“Good evening”. I smile at them. Xavier stood up and pulled out my seat for me.

“Thank you”. I told him as I took my seat.

“Anything for you. By the way, I love what you did with your hair.”. Xavier replied, as he also took his seat. We said grace and then started to eat. All the time, we eat in silence, with none of us making an attempt to talk.

It was not until we were done eating that we started having a conversation. We shared with each other our day’s activities. It is so nice to be able to have someone to talk to like this.

“Em. Sophia, we want to ask you something.”. Xiao asked, becoming very serious. What he wants to tell me must be really serious for him to call me by my name.


“Yes, what is it?”. I curiously asked back.


“For every new member of the pack, we are supposed to have a ceremony and welcome the person officially into the pack. So Xavier and I were thinking, Why not have yours this weekend together with some new members of the pack? That is, if it’s okay with you.” Xiao explained.


"Yes, it’s fine”. I answered, letting out a breath I did not know I was holding. I had imagined that they were tired of me and wanted me to leave or something like that.

“That’s good, then; the ceremony will be conducted this weekend. By tomorrow, you will have to attend the Pack Javi lessons, where you will be taught about the history of the Pack and the rules and regulations. And all other things you need to know about being a member of this pack.” Xiao further explained and I nodded my head in understanding.

“But hey, if you are not ready for it, nobody is going to force you to take the oath this week. We can make it whenever you want.” Xavier said when he noticed how silent I am


“No! This weekend, it’s actually okay with me.”. I answered. It is the wish of almost every werewolf to be a member of this pack. So who am I to complain when I am given the opportunity to become one of them? Also, finally, I will stop getting unnecessary stares from the members of the pack because I smell different from them, so by merely seeing me, everyone will know that I am not a member of this pack.



"Okay, this weekend it is. I will make a call to the Javi Academy so that they can send a tutor tomorrow who will come and guide you through.”. Xavier stated, and we continued with our discussion.

An hour later, the twins escorted me to my room and pecked me on the forehead before they went into their room. It has become like a ritual between us that after we have our dinner, the twins will escort me to my room before going to theirs. I always imagine what it will feel like to spend the night cuddling in between them. As much as I want that to happen, I don’t think it’s going to happen any time soon because the twins think I am not ready for anything yet, so they would dare make a move while I lack the confidence to make such a great move. With the thought still in my heart, I changed into my sleeping wear, which I made sure was more decent than the one I wore to sleep yesterday. I lay on my cold bed alone, thinking of how, if the situation were different, I would have been having a sound sleep cuddled up between my mates.


The next morning, I woke up earlier than usual, and since there was nothing to do, I decided to go to go to the gym. I just hope the Alphas will not mind that I am using their gym. I changed into my sportswear and trainers, then I headed downstairs to the gym.
When I arrived there, surprisingly, it was empty. I was kind of expecting the twins to be present here since they spend a lot of their time in the gym, but I guess today is not a gym day for them. I ran on the treadmill for about thirty minutes before I decided to change to a different machine. After being in the gym for about two hours, I could not feel my legs anymore. I took off my shoes and made my way barefoot into the kitchen.

I was surprised to find Xavier in the kitchen, taking a cup of coffee. He is still in his nightwear, which consists of black sweatpants and a black sweatshirt that is hugged tight like a second body. I could see the outline of his muscles and abs through his shirts. I swallowed hard as I continued to look at him with my mouth slightly open.

“Like what you see?.” Xavier asked with a smirk when he noticed that I was staring hard at him.

“What! No!” I said this and turned my eyes away, blushing.


“Really?”. Xavier asked me, still smirking. He dropped his mug at the cabinet and started making his way to me. The closer he gets to me, the further I step away from him until my back touches the wall. He came very close to me and caged me between him and the wall. My heart started beating very wildly. I just hope he cannot hear it.


“So you said you don’t like what you see. Are you trying to tell me that you don’t find me attractive?”. Xavier asked as he put his hands around my waist and drew me to him in such a way that there was only a little space between us.

“No..I… it’s..” I tried to talk, but I could not form a single word. Xavier's smirk grew bigger, and he saw that.

"Well, I guess someone is smitten by me. Don’t worry about the feeling; it’s mutual.”. Xavier whispered into my ears as he dropped little kisses on my ear and down to my neck. I held on to him tighter as I enjoyed the sensation he was making me feel. Xavier, seeing how I was reacting to his touch, kept on dropping more kisses on the sensitive part of my neck, right below my ears.


I let out a moan as I continued to enjoy this strange feeling. I have never felt this way except for the little time I spent in Xavier and Xiao’s arms. And to tell you the truth, I enjoy every moment of it.

“I guess I got my answer then.”. Xavier said in a deep voice as he joined his forehead with mine while I still had my grip on him. After a minute, he let me go and gave me a big smile, which I returned. Xavier then winked at me, causing me to blush.

“Good morning to you, little mate.” Xavier greeted.

“Morning”. I managed to reply in a voice that didn’t sound like mine.

“How was your night? Why did you decide to hit the gym today?”. He asked again.

“My night was fine. I woke up quite early, and there was nothing to do, so I decided to hit the gym.”. I explained this to Xavier, who went back to make another coffee for himself. I opened the fridge and took a bottle of water before I excused myself and went directly to my bedroom.
