Chapter fifty eight

“Yes Sophia! Thank the goddess. We have been looking everywhere for you.” I announced it to her.

“I am sorry I didn’t mean to make you guys worry, I just wanted to take a walk.” She started crying.

“Shhh! You don’t need to cry, I understand. Where were you last before you got lost? Can you remember l? I asked her.


“Yes. I was taking a walk in the school’s garden, I didn’t know when I entered the forest. Xavier I am very scared. It’s dark everywhere.” She said with her voice full of fear.
I understand why she must be scared. The forest is very thick and since it is dark already, she is bound to be afraid. I wonder how it was able to get into the forest. There is a barrier that separates the garden and the forest. Moreover, there is supposed to be a guard there so as to prevent students from wandering into the garden. Someone will definitely get fired today.

“It’s fine Sophia. Nothing is going to happen to you okay? We will come and get you in about five minutes”. I assured her before I closed the mind link.


“Xiao I just mind linking Sophia now, she is in the forest!”. I announced to Xiao and without saying anything, he began to run towards the direction of the forest. I and some guards followed him.


We all transformed into our werewolf form because it was dark and we needed to see around the forest. As we ran into the forest, I heard a faint voice calling to us.



“That must be Sophia!.” I am thinking of linking Xiao. Xiao speeds up and runs towards the direction the voice is coming from. I ran after him and found our mate hugging his fur very tight as if she was afraid he would disappear.

Poor soul, she must have been very scared. She has been gone for five hours so she is definitely very tired.

I went near them and stood behind her. After some minutes, we decided to go back home. Sophia hub unto Xiao’s back as we run all the way to our palace. We head straight for our private garden. No one goes into it except the gardener. This is where we usually change our clothes after we shift back from our werewolf form. We have spear clothes all over the garden.

We finished changing and noticed that Sophia had her back to us. She must have done that to give us our privacy.

“You have no idea how scared we were when Derrick informed us that you were missing”. Xiao whispered as he hugged Sophia through the back.

She definitely had no idea. When we were informed that she had been missing for about three hours, a part of me died. I wasn’t ready to lose her because I didn’t think I could handle it neither could Xiao. It almost felt like losing our parents again.

And the two hours we used and looked for her, it was the longest and the worst two hours of my entire life.

“I am sorry I don’t mean to worry you guys, I just wanted to take a walk”. Sophia cried out.

“Shhh! No one is to blame. I am happy that you are here safe and sound”. Xiao cooed as he turned her around to face him. He wiped away her tears and hugged her tight. Xiao is not usually the type that likes being around people. But I can see that he has a strong attraction to Sophia. He would have probably died if something had happened to her.


“You must be tired and hungry, let’s get you inside. You have been gone for five hours!”. I said to her, As we all started walking into the house.

Sophia’s POV ~

I was gone for five hours! Damn no wonder they were very worried. I made a mental promise to myself that I would only run within the palace garden from now on.


We silently went up to the penthouse.

“I have already asked the maid to run a bath for you. Have your bath. Your food will be sent to your room and then you can take a rest, okay?.” Xavier said to me. I am seriously touched by the things they are doing to me. When I went missing, I thought of the possibility of not seeing them again and it broke my heart.

“Shhh! Now why are you crying?.” Xavier asked me. I touched my face and noticed that I was indeed crying. I have not realized it at all.



“I thought I was not going to see you guys again”. I truthfully confessed and busted into tears.

“Shhh stop crying. We hate seeing you cry. Everything is now okay. You don’t need to worry about anything.” Xiao comforted me. I wiped away my tears. I don’t know why I am such a crying baby.


“We were also very sacred. We thought something bad had happened to you. But thank the moon goddess that you are safe. Now please go and have your bath before the water turns cold”. Xavier advised.


I hugged both of them very tightly. I am so lucky to have both of them as my mate and now I know, for as long as I have them with me, nothing can go wrong.

“Good night!”.

“Good night!.” They both said at the same time. I went to my room and quickly took off my clothes. I entered the bathroom and found that the bathtub was filled up with warm bubble water.

O! I am going to have a long bath.
