Chapter thirty

Sophia's POV


“So it is expected that before you become a member of a pack, you should know the history of the pack and the rules and regulations. The does and don'ts of the pack”. Mrs. Grace explained, and I nodded my head at her, indicating that I understood what she meant.


“So which one of the things I mentioned did you already study?”. Mrs. Grace asked me, and I bowed my head in shame. I can’t believe it. I have actually stayed here in this pack for over a month, but I have not made any attempts to get to know more about the pack.

“There is no need to beat yourself about it. With time, you will know everything. I will teach you about the pack’s constitution and rules and then leave you to read about the history yourself. How about that? Is it okay with you?”. Mrs. Grave inquired.

"Yes, it is. Thank you”. I replied to her. I love this woman already. She carries a vibe that will allow you to easily interact with her.

For a good two hours, I sat with Mrs. Grace as she taught me the constitution of this pack and the things that are expected of you as a member of the pack. I actually enjoyed our tutorial session with her so much. I wish it did not end so soon.


“We have come to the end of our tutorial season now. You have practically been taught all the basic things you need to know about the pack. You can choose to study more by yourself. There is a library attached to this study where you can find all the books that will help you know more about the pack.”. Mrs Grace explained as she dipped her needs into her bag and brought out a thick black book.

"Here, this book contains the entire history of the pack. You can read it in your own leisure time.”. Mrs. Grace said as she handed over the black book to me. “History of the Sky Blue Pack” was written in gold on the topper part of the front page.


“Thank you so much. Once I am done, I will have the book returned to you.”. I thanked her as I took the book from her.


“There is no need for that. Every member of the pack is supposed to own a copy of the book, so this is for you.”. Mrs. Grace explained.


"O, thank you,” I replied to her.

“You are welcome, my dear. I will take my leave now. Whenever you have any questions, you can send them to me.”. Mrs. Grace said as she got up to go.

"Alright, Mam, I will personally come and see you myself.”. I stated that I also got up so that I could accompany her to the door.


“I enjoyed our session today. See you during the weekend.”. Mrs. Grace hugged as she went out of the study. I stood at the door and kept waving at her until I could not see her anymore.

I went back to the study and sat down to read about the history of the pack. It turns out that it was the twins' great-grandfather who started the pack after his brother varnished him from their pack. At first, the pack was named Blue Pack, but it was later changed to Sky Blue Pack by the council of elders. I went on to read how the twins' parents were killed by rogues, which made me understand why Xiao acted the way he did the first time he saw me. I mean, imagine both of your parents being killed under your pressure. That’s very hurtful.
I also read about how the twins both became Alphas at just the age of sixteen and how they toiled day and night in order to make their pack very powerful.
The more I read about the history of the pack, the more respect I had for the alphas. Poor boys were forced to grow into adults at just the age of sixteen and also take on the on the responsibilities of an entire pack.

I closed the book and stood up to stretch my legs. I have been sitting down for about four hours now. I walked over to the fridge and opened it. I am hungry, and I don't want to leave the study until I am done with what I am doing. Luckily enough for me, I found yoghurt in the fridge and some cookies in the snack cabinet.

After I was done eating, I walked into the library so that I could look for a book to read. The library has two floors, and I personally think that it’s too big for a home library. But what do I expect? This is a palace, and so everything in it is gigantic. The library contains different shelves, and each shelf has a different genre of books about it. I, being obsessed with romantic novels, looked for the shell that contains the romantic books. I found a book about a woman who has two lovers. I immediately picked it up to read. Honestly, I don’t have an idea of how things will work out between me and the twins. I mean, I have always dreamt of having a mate, but I got two. I have little or no knowledge of how the whole trio of things works. I picked up the book and sat on the fur mat in the seating area. I crossed my legs and started reading the book.



The book’s about a woman named Sarah who falls in love with two best friends. The book describes how lucky it is to have two guys in love with you. I mean, imagine the love and affection you get from someone who loves you, but this time around, you aren’t getting it from a single person but from two.

As I continued to read the book, I didn’t know the time I had slept off.
