Chapter forty seven

Jennifer and I were able to catch up a bit. She is actually very fun to be and I have a feeling that I will enjoy working with her.

After some minutes, the children started coming in. Before the class started properly, Jennifer introduced me to the kids. They are all very well-mannered.


At lunchtime, I sat and ate together with the receptionist from the administrative block. Her name is Ruby. We are actually age mates. Finally, I know someone my age. It’s refreshing. The rest of the people treat me like a kid sometimes and I hate every moment of it.


The school closed by twelve that is for nursery school. I am not sure what time the rest will be closed. Derrick was already waiting for me before the school closed.

As soon as we reached home, I went straight to my room took off my shoes and jewellery and immediately went to sleep. I am so exhausted. Handling a five and six-year-old werewolf pub is not as easy as it seems. Jennifer told me that I will get used to it as time goes on. I just hope so.


After sleeping for a very long time, it came to me like a dream that I actually had a date night tonight. I shoot up from the bed immediately. I can’t believe I actually forgot about the date. My first date ever.

I check the time and luckily enough for me, I have about two hours to get ready.

“Okay Sophia! Take a deep breath. You can do this”. I prep talk myself. I just hope I am able to get ready just in time.

I started taking off my clothes as I headed to the bathroom. And for the first time since I came to this pack, I took a two-minute bath. I rushed out of the bathroom after my bath and went into the closet. I thank the heavens that I picked the dress I was to wear yesterday.

I dried my body and after applying lotion, I styled my hair into a twisted curly form. I put on the dress and applied a dark shade of red lipstick. For my eyes, I did smoky cat eyes I learned from Amanda.


I took a look at myself in the mirror. I am actually impressed at my handwork. I am wearing a black turtleneck long dress that has a long slit on the right side of the dress. I paired the outfit with red heels to match my lip stick. The clothes hugged me like a second body, bringing out every detail of my shape. I love the feeling that comes with wearing the clothes. With the colour combination being red and black, I feel like a seductress.

A knock came on the door bringing me out of my self-admiration. I guess it’s time to go. I picked up my purse which matched the shoe and headed to the door.

“Wow! Are you planning to kill the Alphas tonight?.” Jane cheered as I opened the door for her. I blush at her words and she took it as an opportunity to continue.


“I mean did you look at yourself? You look like temptation itself. I just hope your mates will have control over themselves today. If not, we will be accepting a mini version of them very soon.” Jane winked at me.

“Jane!” I screamed when I finally understood what she meant by her last sentence.


“Alright, I will stop! Save your blush for your mates. Anyway, I am here to inform you that the driver is waiting for you downstairs.” Jane said.

“What about the Alphas?”. I thought we were going together.

“Oh. They are going to meet you there!”. Jane apologetically said.

“It’s fine!”. I said with a hint of disappointment in my voice. I actually wanted them to be the first to see me in my dress but I guess things do not always go as we wish. I head downstairs with Jane escorting me. All the people that we passed did a double take as they saw me.


“Good evening Mam. I must say you are looking very lovely tonight.” Derrick complimented me as he opened the door for me.

“Just tonight Derrick? Does that mean I always look back?”. I murmured to him.

“No! .. I don’t mean it like that. What I meant is that you look extra good tonight.” Derrick hastily said, looking sorrowful.


“I know that you don’t mean it. I was just teasing you.” I smiled at him and he smiled back.

“Emm!”. Jane cleared her throat to remind us that she was still here.

“You better get going, we don’t want to keep the Alphas waiting for long do we?.” Jane asked, looking at Derrick as if she was trying to communicate some kind of secret to him. I just hope it does not have to do with me.

“No, we won’t. We will be on our way now if you are ready, Mam Sophia.” He answered.

“Sure, let’s go. Bye Jane”. I hugged her.

“Okay Luna. Try and make it back home fully dressed please”. Jane whispered into my ear.

“Seriously Jane, you are corrupting my innocent mind.” I give her a middle finger and she just laughs it off.

I waved at Jane and entered the car. Derrick closed the door circled the car to the driver's side entered and drove off.

We drove to the busy side of the pack. At the end of the street, is a restaurant. But the whole light is off so I could not understand the full details of the building since it might already be.

To my surprise, Derrick stopped in front of the restaurant.
