Chapter Twenty

Asher’s POV

I am currently hanging out with Henry and the rest of the guys. I am bored of what to do. I am already missing my mate.

She, Mel and Alissa went out shopping. I wanted to go along with them but they refused saying that they were alone.


“Lover boy, are you sulking because your mate is not here?.” The guys make fun of me. Before I could reply to them, I heard Alissa trying to mind-link me.

“Asher!! Come to the mall very fast!!! Anna’s father…” She didn’t finish talking and the link got cut off.

“Alissa! Alissa!” I shouted out loud but I still didn’t get any response. The guys all stood up on alert when they saw my reaction.


“What is Alpha?.” Henry asked.


“Let’s head for the mall. The girls are in trouble!.” I breathe out. If anything happened to my mate, I would kill her father.


We all rushed to the mall but we were too late. They were not there. The only thing that was in the mall was their lingering scent and Mel’s car that is still in the parking lot.

“I have an idea where they might take them too. When you ask to research Luna's father, I notice a particular cabin in the woods where he normally hangs out with his friends!”. Jason, my Gamma explained.

“What are we waiting for? Lead them!”. I commanded.

We all ran into the woods shifted to our wolf form and started running after Jason.

Please let her be okay. I made a silent prayer to the moon goddess.

We soon arrived in a cabinet located right in the middle of the woods. There were about three to five hunters patrolling the cabin. We pulsed right in the middle of the woods. I don’t want to dive right in because there might be a trap waiting for us. Never trust the hunters.


“Damn hunters!”. Jason swore through the mind link.


“Alissa are you alright?.” O try to mind-link my sister again.


“Asher? Yes, I am!.” I let out a breath of relief when I received a response from her.

“What about Anna?”. I asked, fingers crossed.


“She is not fine. Asher, you have to get here fast. Her dad came into the room and a man dragged her out. I can hear her screams from where she is. You need to get here fast!.” Alissa panicked.


Shit! I am going to kill him.

“I am going in! Make a distraction for me!.” I told Henry and shifted back into my human form.


Three of our men jumped out of the bush right in front of the hunters. Once they made sure the hunters saw them, they ran back into the bush in the opposite direction of where we were. The hunters were saddled at first before they recovered and they all foolishly went after our men.

“Some of you should follow behind them. Make sure you kill all of them!.” I commanded.


“Yes, Alpha!”. They echoed.

I left everything in command of my beta and rushed in to save my mate. Surprisingly the cabin is empty.

“Alissa, where are you?.” I mind linking my sister.

“I don’t know. They knocked us out before they brought us here!” Alissa helplessly said.


Just then, I heard a scream coming from the basement. It sounded just like Anna’s voice. I quickly rushed towards the direction of the sound.

I froze at what I saw. Anna is lying on a bed struggling with a man lying on top of her. Her scream brought me out of my current state.


I suddenly saw red. I grab the man and fling him off her. I pronounced him and started to hit him so hard. In this current state, I am beyond angry.


“Asher stop!.” Anna shouted but I was too angry to stop. I kept hitting the man.


“Asher watch out!”. Anna shouted but it was too late. I felt something hit me at the back of my neck. If I were a normal feeble human, I would have been unconscious by now. But I am a werewolf and not anything type but an Alpha. You Need more than one hit with a rod to knock me out.

I turn and lo and behold it is Anna’s father.

“I am tired of you idiot messing up my plans!.” He chanted. I didn’t give him an answer but rather slowly walked up to him. He kept moving back until his back hit the wall.

I gave him a punch in the stomach and he immediately spit out blood. Good! This is just the being.

“Any last words?.” I ask him.

“Anna, are you going to sit there and watch your own father die?.” He asks, trying to get her to beg on his behalf. I silently pray to heaven that she doesn’t because if she does, I have no choice but to spare his life by her wish.

“You can rot in hell for all I care!”. Anna spat.

I smiled. That’s my mate.

“This is for all the years you have abused her!.” I said and punched him in the face.


“This is for trying to sell her off!”. I punched him again and kept on punching him again and again until I felt small hands around my waist.


“Please stop!.”
