Chapter twenty

“Welcome ma!” The maid greeted us as we passed by the hallway. Just then, I saw Beta making his way towards us with a big smile on his face that reached his eyes. That’s strange; I didn't know that he knew how to smile like this.

“Babe !”. Amanda ran to him and flung herself at him, and he immediately wrapped his hands around her waist and gave her a deep kiss.

“Nice to officially meet you!”. I stretched out my hand to the beta.


“It is a pleasure to officially meet you too. I am sorry for how I acted the first time we met.”. Jason also stretched his hands and shook me. His hands were very hard and cold.

“It’s fine after all; you were just doing your job,” I replied to him with a tight smile on my face.

“Wait! What are you guys talking about? Tell me, Sophia, was he rude to you then?”. Amanda questioned.


“Not at all. He was just doing his job.”. I covered up for him.


“I don’t believe you, but let’s leave it at that. But if he ever bullies you, don’t hesitate to come and tell me. I know the right punishment for him.” Amanda stated it with a mischievous look on her face.

“And what is the right punishment?”. Jason came close to her and wrapped his hands around her waist from the back, and she turned to look at him. They were looking at each other as if they were about to tear their clothes, so I gently walked towards the elevator. I don’t want to see something that will corrupt my innocent mind.


I entered the elevator, pressed the Alpha Cave button, and enjoyed the silent ride. When I came out of the elevator and walked to the door, it was then that I realized I didn’t have a key to the penthouse. I made a silent prayer, wishing that the Alphas were around because I was too tired to go down and come up again.

I kept at the door for about twenty minutes, but there was no answer! Damn, that means I have to go down again. Just as I turned, someone from inside opened the door.


“Hey Sophia!” The person called me back, and I turned around to see a shirtless Xiao standing at the door. I have always known the twins were hot and muscular, but right now, Xiao looks super hot. "Sophia, are you hearing me?”. Xiao said to bring me out of my thoughts. He must have been talking to me but I didn’t hear him since I was lost in my thoughts. I looked up to see him smirking at me. He definitely knew I was checking him out.


"Sorry, I didn’t hear you,” I said while blushing deeply in embarrassment. I tried my best not to look at him but my eyes still kept diverting back to his chest.


“It’s fine. Sorry we didn’t hear you knock. Xavier and I were at the gym. Come in. How was your day?”. Xiao asked as he took my bag from my hand and ushered in like a gentleman.


“It was fun but a little bit stressful.” I truthfully said.

“Glad to enjoy yourself, but where are the things you shopped for? I am only seeing one bag.” Xiao inquired.


"Well, about that, the bags were too much for the car, so the boutique is sending them over through a delivery van. It should be here at any moment.”. I explained it to him.

“Hey man, you took too long, who... oh hello, little mate. I didn’t know you were back”. Xavier said as he came out of a room, which I guess is the gym.


I couldn’t even reply if I wanted to. My brain has frozen up. The room suddenly became very hot for me and I was finding it hard to breathe. Xavier was also shirtless, like Xiao. And it’s crazy that they have the same body structure. Heck, even their chest tattoo is the same. Except for the colour of their eyes, I don’t think there is anything different about them.

“Breath!”. Xiao, who was standing next to me, whispered into my ears.


“I can’t help it; you guys are so hot!”. I shouted before I put both hands on my mouth and started blushing very hard. I can’t believe I said that. I looked at their faces and saw both of them smirking at me.


“Well, I am happy to hear that you think that we are hot little mate”. Xavier winked at me.


“You can close your mouth now. You have a little drool over here”. Xiao pointed at the right side of my mouth. I used my hands to touch it and there was nothing there. I then realized that Xiao was only teasing me. I gave him a frown, and he blew me a kiss and my stupid heart started beating faster than it was.


"Babe, calm down; you don’t need to give yourself a heart attack. Our body belongs to you, right, Xavier?”. Xiao questioned.


“Damn right!”.



Just then. We heard a knock at the door, and Xiao went to open the door, and a few seconds later, he came back with the maids trailing after him with shopping bags in their hands. I guess my shopping has arrived. I noticed that the maids were bowing as they made their way upstairs.


“I guess your shopping has arrived. You can go and coordinate the arrangements.” Xiao told me, and I excused myself and started making my way upstairs.

“Little mate, we are having an outdoor dinner today so dress according to the weather,” Xavier said and I gave him a thumbs up and kept on walking.
