Chapter twenty-three


Anna’s POV

I woke up alone in bed. I am a bit disappointed. I have already gotten addicted to waking up in Asher’s arms. Ever since we mated two days ago, my relationship with Asher has become more intimate, plus we both are not getting enough sleep anymore. But I don’t care, and neither does Asher. I am very happy and content now.

Today is the day that Asher and I will be crowned as the official Alpha and Beta of this pack. Even though I wanted to laze around in bed, I knew that I had to get up. There is so much that needs to be done.


I got up from bed and took Asher’s shirt that was lying on the floor alongside our other clothes. I wore the shirt over my naked body and set out to make a quick visit to the bathroom.

As I passed by the balcony door, I couldn’t help but step back again. Standing out on the balcony is Asher, in all his glory. He is not wearing a shirt, just his pants, so his upper body is exposed for me to enjoy the view.

I tiptoed to where he was and wrapped my hands around his waist. I inhaled his scent.

“Good morning, love!”. Asher turned to greet me.

“Good morning!”. I answered.

“Hope you slept well last night.”. Asher smirked. I looked into his eyes and glared at him. Asher laughed and proceeded to kiss me. I wrap my hands around his neck and respond back to his kiss. Asher started to trail his hands up my thigh. He let out a groan when he noticed that I was not wearing anything under his shirt. He moved his hands higher until he stopped right at my clitoral area and started to tease me.

“Asher!”. I moan into his mouth when he inserts his finger into my clitoral area. He started to move in a rhythm. He will, first of all, go slow and then faster. I harden my grip on him as I shamelessly ride his finger.

“Asher!!!”. I cried out loud at the intensity of the pleasure. After some minutes, I finally came all over his fingers. Asher took his fingers out of me and started to lip them dry.

Before Asher could reply to me, we heard a knock on the door. It was Alissa and one of the maids who brought our ceremonial clothes for us.

Asher and I took a shower before we dressed. We are to wear the royal appeal of the Alpha and Luna. I almost didn’t recognize myself at all.

We slowly made our way to the garden where the program was being held.

“Calm down no one is going to eat you up!.” Asher whispered into my ear. Don’t blame me for being nervous. I can’t help it.

We were guided to our seats which are on the left side of the stage while Asher’s parents are seated on the right.


Asher’s father stood and addressed the crowd.

“Greetings members of the Dark moon pack. We are all gathered together to officially crown my son Asher as the Alpha of this pack. Asher, can you step forward please!.”

Asher stood up and went to his father.

“Repeat after me!.” Asher’s father instructed.


“I, Asher Austin, promise to serve and protect this pack. And to always put their best interest first before any other thing. I also promise to treat each and every member equally…..”

Asher repeated after his father and then his father took a knife and cut his palm and Asher’s palm too. The whole pack immediately started clapping.


“Members of Dark Moon Pack, Behold your new Alpha!!!” His father exclaimed as he lifted Asher’s hand up. The clapping and shouting increased.


Asher beamed at me to come closer to him. I slowly made my way to him. He took my hand, cut my palm, and then joined it with his already-cut palm.

As soon as he did that, I felt power like I had never felt before.


"I, Asher, Alpha of the Dark Moon Pack, chose you to be my mate!.”. Asher declared.

"I, Anna, agree to be your Luna!.” I answered, looking directly into his eyes. Asher’s mom has already taught me how to behave.

Asher sealed our declaration with a kiss, and the crowd went wild. After that, everyone came and started congratulating us.

After which, the party started fully.

“I can have this dance, Luna of the dark moon pack!”. Asher asked me with a bow.

"Yes, you may be Alpha of the dark moon pack!”. I smiled at him as I placed my hand in his. Asher led the both of us to the dance floor.
