Chapter thirty nine

“As much as I like us to continue this, we have to get out now or the guards will think there is a problem” Xavier said as he pecked my lips before he opened the door. Xiao helped me put on my buttons before I went and he filled in behind me. Two guards with their heads bowed open the door of the palace for us. I am so grateful that their head is bowed down. I feel like a teenager who has sneaked out to mess around with her crush. Since I am still a teenager, I guess it's the same thing.


We silently walked into the palace and then to the elevator. After that into the penthouse and then upstairs to the door of my room before we stop. We all stood there staring at each other with none of us talking. So I decided to break the silence.

“Thank you so much for today. I had a nice time.” I sincerely said. I can trade anything in the world just to have a repeat of what occurred between us today. I just pray and hope that It won’t be the last time.


“It was our pleasure,” Xavier said as he walked closer to me. I kept moving back until my back hit the door of my room. He led over with his lips close to mine but he refused to kiss me. I stare hard at him hoping he will get the mess but he just laughs off. So I decided to take the matter into my own hands. I grab his collar pulling his head down and then I place my lips on his. Xavier smiled before he took control of the kiss. He wrapped his hands around my waist and kissed me harder. After some time we pulled apart and smiled at each other. I saw Xiao standing looking at us. So I signal him to come over. As soon as he walked towards me, I jumped on him and he immediately wrapped his hands around my waist and I wrapped my hand around his neck. After about six minutes, he let me go off and dropped me on my feet.

“Good night”. I smile at them.

“Good night. Sleep well.” They both said it at the same time. I entered my room and left both of them standing there. I close the door and lean on it, smiling with my hand touching my lips.

After standing there for a good twenty minutes, I went into the walk-in closet to change my outfit. I refuse to take a night bath so that I will be able to smell them on my body for a long time. I changed into my nightwear and went and laid down in the centre of my bed.



“What were you thinking, Sophia?”. I questioned myself when I remembered the way I behaved earlier on. I acted as if I were a sex-starved teenager.


“That’s because you are actually a sex-starved teenager.” A low voice said. I immediately sat upright on my bed.


“Who said that?.” I am not quite sure that I actually heard a voice.


“I did”. A voice that sounded very familiar said.

“Aliyah! Is that you?”. I asked, still not sure if I actually had my wolf back.



"No, it’s your mother’s spirit.”. The voice sarcastically said. That is when I knew it was Aliyah.



“Yeah! My wolf is back. My wolf is back.”. I kept jumping on my bed.



“Seriously? Who are you? The Sophia I knew before is very quiet, but this girl here is wild and very playful. What have you done to my human form, and who the hell are you?.” Aliyah dramatically said:.


“You can’t be serious, Aliyah. Is it still me? I missed you so much.”. I truthfully confess. Your wolf is like the other half of you, with whom you can share your darkest secrets. Your wolf also keeps you company, preventing you from being bored or lonely. That’s why a werewolf can survive isolation when he has his wolf with him.



“Are you sure you actually missed me?”. Aliyah questioned me.

“Why are you asking such a question? Of course, I miss you. You have to see how much I cried when I tried reaching out to you, but you were not responding, and then I was told that you shut off.” I explained it to her.


“Why won’t I not ask such questions.? From what I saw earlier on, it seems like you were too occupied to have missed me.” Aliyah fired at me.


“What are you talking about? I …” I started to say, but I kept quiet when I finally understood what she meant.

“O my god!”. I screamed as I blushed hard.

“Damn right, my god! I had to rethink if I was still in the body of the right person. Damn girl, I never knew you had this wild side to you.”. Aliyah playfully mocked me.

“I don’t want to talk about it, please.”. I said, blushing very hard. I still can’t believe that the person earlier was me.


“Anyway, that’s by the way. I want to go for a run.”. Aliyah stated.

"Okay, but that will be until tomorrow, please. It's already late at night. If we go out now, we can cause trouble for ourselves.” I explain this to Aliyah.

“Alright! Tomorrow then. Good night Sophia.”

“Good night Aliyah,” I said and off the lamb on the side stool before I fell into the dreamland.
