Forty one

“Ahhh!”. I screamed and moved closer to the mirror to have a good look at my neck. A big hickey that looked as if it was given by a wild animal stood proud on both sides of my neck. I can’t believe the twins did this too.



“See what I am talking about? By the way, how did it feel like to be between the arms of the two Alphas? It has always been a secret fantasy of every wolf in this pack.” Jane said. I suddenly felt jealous that a lot of these wolves were dreaming about my mates.

“Truly nothing happened. I slept in my bed yesterday and they slept in theirs.” I explained to Jane.

“Wait! You mean after the deed, you went back to your room? Why?.” Jane asks, looking confused.



“Jane! Nothing like that happened. We just kiss and mess around a little bit in the car on our way back home.” I explained to Jane and Closed my eyes from falling into her trap. This is the exact gossip she was looking for and I foolishly gave it to her.

“Hmm in the car?”. Jane teased me.

“Shut up! How will I get rid of this quickly”. I asked her. This is my first time getting a hickey so I don’t know how to do it. I know about what hickey is through the romantic books I have read. I have wished to be given a hickey one day and now that I got it, it does not look like how it was described in the book.

“There is nothing much you can do about it,” Jane answered.

“What! Why?”. I asked her.


“Well, a normal hickey takes a week before it disappears, a bigger one takes like two weeks, yours is too big and I think it will take almost a month before it disappears,” Jane explained.

“What! How am I supposed to go out with this thing on my neck? I am supposed to start helping out in the pack’s school tomorrow morning”. I cried out.

“O come on, you don’t have to cry for such a simple matter. You can wear long neck clothing, a scarf or a veil. You can also leave your hair down to cover it. And you can also use makeup foundation to cover it up”. Jane suggested and I hugged her tight.

“Thank you so much, you are a lifesaver. See you later.” I said and let my hair down before I made my way to the penthouse. It was still empty so I guess the Alphas were still in their meeting. I went to the kitchen and took a glass of water before I came back to the lounge and laid down on a sofa.

After about thirty minutes, the door opened and the Alphas entered the room. I sat up straight and glared at them which I did not think they noticed.


“Good morning little mate”. Xiao said and sat close to me. I did as if I didn’t hear him and refused to reply to him. Xavier came close to me and wanted to peck me but I shifted my head back.

“When Xiao greeted you and you refused to answer him, I knew there was a problem somewhere. What is wrong?.” Xavier asked me as he sat on the stool in front of me. I still refused to answer and kept on glaring at him.

“You do know your glaring will not solve anything right? So please, what is the problem?.” Xavier asked again in a gentle voice.


“You are the problem. Both of you!!”. I screamed, causing them both to put their full attention on me.

“Really? What did we do? I can’t think of anything. Did we unintentionally hurt you?” Xavier asked in a confused voice.

“Is it about last night?.” Xiao calmly asked. I nod my head in agreement. “Damn it! I knew yesterday was too good to be true.” Xiao punched his fist hard on the arm of the sofa. I wonder what he is thinking about because I am sure we are not on the same page here.


“It’s not what you are thinking, I am talking about my neck. Look at what you guys did with my neck”. I raised my hair up so that they could clearly see the hickeys.


“Okay. I am looking at your neck right now but I don’t seem to understand what is wrong. Is your neck paining you?”. Xavier smirks at me. I rolled my eyes at him in return. There is no way he is telling me that he can’t see these big hickeys on my neck because I am very sure that even a blind can see them.


“Seriously? Are you for real?”. I stood at Akimbo with one hand still holding my hair up.



“I am serious. Xiao please come closer and help me check if something is wrong with my neck because I can’t see it.” Xavier beacon on his brother to come closer to us. Xiao stood up from the sofa and came and stood in front of me. He looked at me intensely for a few seconds.

“The only thing I notice about you is that you are looking more beautiful. Do you even know how appealing you look right now standing like that?.” Xiao winked as he licks his lower lip.

I let go of my hair and allowed it to fall below my shoulders. It is useless talking to these guys about it.


“Since both of you can not see, thank you I won’t be able to go out without covering my neck.” I pout at them.

“Why do you need to cover your neck? Are you ashamed of us?.” Xiao asks with darkened eyes.

“What no! Why will you think like that?”. I asked. I don’t know what is wrong with the twins and their thoughts this morning.


“Then why do you hide the proof of what we shared between us?” Xavier fired at me. I don’t know why they both want to pick a fight with me this morning but I don’t have strength for that.

“I don’t know what is wrong with you guys today but contrary to whatever you are thinking, I was getting a lot of unwanted stares from people because of it. This is the reason why I want to cover up the hickeys. Not because of any other reason you are thinking in your head.” I state in a hurt voice.


“Sophia we are…” Xavier started to say before I cut him off.

“Please save it. I will go to my room now.” And without waiting for any of them to talk again, I ran upstairs to my room.
