Chapter six of Alpha Asher and the hunter's daughter

Asher POV

I drove home with a very big smile on my face. I can’t believe it. O have finally found my mate. And not only that, I was able to hold a solid conversation with her. I remember the sparkle I felt when we shook hands. I wonder if she felt it too. I am not so sure though since she is a human.


I am so happy even though I wish I had her face. I wonder why she kept the hoodie on. For a minute, I wanted to ask her to open up her face but I kicked against the idea because I didn’t think she would be comfortable with that.


We had all our classes together except for the last one. She is taking art while I am taking karate. I will have switched over to art just to be closer to her but honestly, I can’t even draw a cup so I think I will be sent out of the class.

When school closed, I offered to give her a lift home which she strongly refused. I was disappointed but I respected her wish. I wanted to take her home so that I could spend more time with her and also know her house in case I wanted to stalk her.

Honestly, I still feel like I will wake up tomorrow and find out all this is a dream. I just hope it’s not.

I waved at the guard as I drove into the pack house. I alighted from the car and went straight to my own private quarters.


Once I settled down, I took my system and began to browse the reason why someone will always use a hoodie to cover her face.

I went over the result of Igor and tried to think of the one that can relate to Anna.

1. Because the person is shy and wants to be left alone.

2. Because the person is ugly or self conscious of his or her look.

And the list went on …

Well, I seriously can’t think of one that relates to Anna. But whichever one it is, I don’t care. I just hope that one day, she will be comfortable with me and allow me to see her face.

I headed downstairs when it was time for dinner. Mom, Dad and Alissa were already sitting down. We usually eat our food in the alpha’s personal dining room unless for an important occasion when the whole pack eats together in the general dining room.


“Good evening Alpha! Luna!”. I greeted Mom and dad and pecked them on the seat before I took my seat.


“Evening son, how was your first day in a new school ?”. Dad inquired.

“It was fine. Nothing out of the ordinary happened!” I answered him.

“You did not come down for lunch. Why?”. Mom asked me.


“I was not hungry!.” I answered her. The truth is that after browsing about the hoodie stuff, I went on to browse how to make a girl like you and other stuff. So I got carried away and did not take any time.

“I like how you guys like to make me feel like I am invisible!.” Alissa stated with her hands crossed over her chest.


“O come on baby, you invisible? That’s never possible!. I mean have you looked at yourself in the mirror ” Dad hyped Alissa who was already blushing. I am sure that her head is already getting bigger.


“I know Dad. That’s why I keep telling Mom and Asher that they don’t have an idea who they are messing with!.” Alissa proudly declared. Pride is surely going to kill her one day.


“Okay, that is enough! It’s time to eat. Let's say grace!.” Mom concluded and everyone kept shut. We eat our food in silence.

After we were done eating. Alissa is telling Mom and Dad about her day while I sit in silence as I try to compose myself on how I am going to break the news to them.

I cleared my throat to get their attention; “Mom! Dad! I have something to share with you!.”

Dad, Mom and Alissa paused and first of all, looked at each other before they turned their attention to me.

“Okay son, we are listening!.” Dad said with an encouraging smile on his face.

“Em.. Ihavefoundmymate!.” I hurriedly declared all at once.


“Okay re say it slowly this time around.” Mom gently said. I have a feeling she understood what I said already.


“I have found my mate!” I declared again and waited for their reaction.


“What!.”

“Damn!”.


“Yeah!”.

They all said at once. Definitely not the reaction I am expecting from them.


“O thank the goddess! I am so happy for you son!” Mom stood up and came and hugged me with a big sincere smile on her face.


“Congratulations son! I told you that I had a positive feeling about you going to that school!.” Dad proudly declared.


“Omg!!! I am finally getting a sister!”. Alissa giggled. I rolled my eyes at her typical girl reaction.


“So what’s her name?” Mom eagerly asked.


“Anna!.” I answered her.


“Yeah! She got the family’s A too! I won the bet hon.” Dad smirked at Mom.

Dad’s name starts with the letter A and so does Mom, Alissa and I too. So Dad and Mom made a bet that my mate’s name would start with the letter A too.

“We will talk about that later. Let's focus on the fact that our son has finally found his mate!.” Mom quickly changed the topic.

“Please tell me she is not one of the school slut!.” Alissa asked.

“Alissa shut up.!” Mom commanded her as she looked at my face to be sure that I was not offended. We werewolf men hate it when someone talks bad about our mate.

“It’s fine mom, I am not offended by her questions. And to answer you, no she is not!.” I answered.


“So what does she look like? Does she like you too? Did you tell her about the mate thing?..,,” Dad and Alissa went on asking me questions until I stopped them and sent them out of the dining room.

The next day, just as I arrived at school, I saw Anna entering the school building with her head bowed. I sense that something is wrong with her and rush to her.


“Hey Anna! Is everything alright?”.
