Ninety two

Chapter sixteen

Asher’s POV

She looked so beautiful as she slept. I can’t believe she is finally here with me. On my bed and in my arms.

I was scared earlier. I don’t even want to imagine what would have happened to her if I wasn't there.
I was so happy when she woke up and then she started backing away. My heart shattered. I thought she was going to reject me. So I sort of rambled about everything. Her response surprised me though she just accepted and asked a lot of questions. I thought she would have freaked out but no. She's full of surprises.

When she was having her shower I could feel
her panic rolled off her in waves. What was
happening. I started banging on the door and
she came out. I was relieved she was in one
piece. I don't know what happened but I'm
hope she'll tell me eventually.

Then she started explaining what happened I
had to fight my wolf. As the tears fell he
snapped out of it though and told me we'll
sort it later.

I was over the moon when she said she would
love to share a room with me. My wolf yipped
and pranced around in my head. And now she is sleeping in my arms. I have dreamt of this moment since I found her.

I guess she will be hungry when she wakes so I got up to go and inform mom.

I met mom and Alissa in the kitchen cooking. Mom likes to cook for our family.

“Luna!”. I walked to mom and dropped a kiss on her forehead and did the same to Alissa.

“You need to stop calling me that, your Luna is in our room!”. My mom said as she continued to chop off the vegetables.

“Really? Asher’s mate here? Can I go see her?”. Alissa excitedly screamed.

“Yes she is here. But no you can’t go and see her!”. Mom said and Alissa frowned.

“You will meet her during dinner!” I stated.

“How is she now?.” Mom compassionately asked.


“She is…”

And before I could finish replying to her, I heard a shout coming from my room and so I rushed out of the kitchen.

I ran to our room. Our room. It feels good to say it out loud. I entered the room and my heart broke at the sight I saw.

She is hugging her knees to her chest as silent tears fall. I pulled her to my chest and stroked her back telling her she was ok. It was just a dream.
She looked at me with her beautiful blue eyes
and thanked me.

"For what" I asked

"For being here. For not leaving me. For
everything."

“That’s what mates are for!.”

“Do you want to go back to sleep ?” I asked her and she nodded her head indicating no.

“Okay then, dinner will be ready in thirty minutes time. Why don’t we freshen up then!.” I said to her, She got up from the bed and went to the bathroom to have a bath. There is a knock at the door to check who it is. I opened the door and found Alissa standing with concern written all over her face.

“Yes Alissa?”. I asked her.

“How is she now?.” Alissa questioned.

“She has calmed down. She had a bad dream!”.

“Okay that’s better. Mom asked me to inform you that dinner is already!.”

“Okay, we will be ready in twenty minutes.” I closed the door and turned to find Anna looking at her face in the mirror.

I slowly walked and stood behind her.

“You are beautiful!”. I stated causing her to stay at me through the mirror. I am not lying though. Even with the bruises on her face, she still looks beautiful.

“You are just saying it because you are being nice!”. Anna said after some time.
I gently turned her around until she was looking at me.

“I am not saying it because I am moved or whatever you think, but because it is actually the truth. Even with all the scars on your face you're still the most beautiful girl I have ever had in my life.” I sincerely told her as I dropped a peck on her forehead.

“Now let’s go, my family are waiting to see you!”. I told her and I can feel her starting to panic.

“What if they don’t like me?”. She worriedly asked.

“Trust me, they are going to”. I assured her. I took her hand and led her out of the room and to the dining room. Mom, dad and Alissa were already standing with smiles on their faces.

“Family this is my mate Anna, Anna these are my family!”. Let me introduce myself.

“G-Good evening!”. Anna silently whispered.

“Good evening my dear. It’s so nice to have finally met you! Come!”. My mom said as she opened her hands up for Anna. I gave Anna’s hand a light squeeze of encouragement. She let go of my hand and slowly walked into my mother's arms.

“O dear! I know that you have passed through a lot but I want you to know that from now on, you are safe. And whenever you need a mother figure, I am here for you!”. Mom said as she hugged Anna tight.

“Likewise if you need a father figure, I am here for you!.” Dad said.

“It feels so good to finally have a sister!.” Alissa said as she hugged Anna. I am really touched on how my family welcomed her with open hands.

“Alright let's eat before the food gets cold!.”
