Chapter seventy eight

Chapter two of Alpha Asher and the hunter's daughter
Asher POV

The stupid sound of my alarm woke me up this morning. I wonder who invented the stupid stuff. I went into the bathroom, had my shower and started to get ready.

Today I am starting a new school. I hated the fact that I had to leave the pack and attend school somewhere else but I had no choice. I was supposed to find my mate two years ago when I first shifted but to my disappointment, I have not found her. I travel to different packs but to no avail. So I came to the conclusion that she must definitely be human. Mom suggested that I should attend the school of humans and maybe then I could find her.
I have no choice but to accept. After all? I am very desperate to find my mate. I just hope that I find her in this school. My wolf Kane is starting to get frustrated without his mate.

“Good morning Luna!.” I went and pecked Mom on the cheek once I reached downstairs. Mom has told me time without numbers to stop addressing her with her official status since she is my mom but I turn a deaf ear to her request.

“Morning my little Alpha!.” Mom greeted me. Since I decided to call her Luna all the time, she also decided to call me Little Alpha.

“O Luna. Big Alpha you mean!.” I corrected her phrase. Just before Mom could give me a reply, Dad entered the dining room and replied on her behalf.

“And why will she call you big Alpha when she has me?”. Dad came and pecked Mom on her lips.

“Where do you come in the discussion?”. I asked, looking confused.

“I always come in, any conversation that concerns my mate concerns me!.” Dad stated as he grabbed an apple from the table.

“Whatever!”. I rolled my eyes at him and sat down.

“Excuse me? Why are you guys acting as if I am invisible?”. My over-dramatic younger sister Alissa waves her hands into the air. She always loves attention and hates it when the attention is no longer on her.

“Maybe because you are!”. I murmured and I earned a glare from her in return.

“You guys don’t have an idea how many people wish for me to Grace them with my presence but here you are, taking me for granted.” Alissa proudly said. She is a very popular teen model all over the world and she never fails to remind us that she is popular. I pity the guy that will end up being her mate. He has a lot of headaches.

“Please inform them to come and take you!” Mom jests at Alissa as dad and I laugh.

“You will all pay for this!”. Alissa murmured and continued to eat her food.

“So Asher, are you ready for your new school?.” Dad asked me after a minute of silence.

“Yes, dad!.”

“Good! I feel it in my bones that there will be a positive result this time around”. My dad encouraged me. I hate it when people throw pity on me because I have yet to have a mate. Thankfully Dad understood that I didn’t want to talk about it so he didn’t ask me any more questions.

“Mom why can’t I go with him?.” Alissa grumbled. She has tried her best to convince Dad to allow her to change her school too but Mom firmly said no. And when mom says no in this house, it means a no.

After breakfast, I bid them goodbye and left. I took one out of the many cars in the garage and headed out of the pack. The new school I am attending is not far from the pack.

Once I reach the school, I look for a place pack my car and then head to the secretary’s office to get my school map, timetable and other things I need.

Once I left the office, I noticed a lot of the girls were shamelessly looking at me.

Humans! I rolled my eyes.
I know that I am attractive but the looks are too much. Some of them are already shooting signals my way.

I managed to locate my locker without much trouble. Just as I drop my back into my locker, I perceive the most amazing scent ever. It smelled like lavender and lilies combined.

“Mate!!!” Kane shouted.
