Chapter twenty nine

Sophia’s POV


I left the kitchen blushing deeply as I rushed to my bedroom. Once I entered my room, I stood with my back touching the door as I kept on smiling like a moron. I can’t believe I finally kissed one of my friends. At first, I thought I was going to die because of the sensation I was getting from him. The feeling of his hard body pressed to mine made me feel so alive, like I had never felt before.

After standing at the door and smiling at myself for almost five minutes, I remembered the actual reason that brought me into my room. I quickly changed into a presentable chiffon shirt and a black plain trouser. I looked at my face in the mirror and my eyes widened at what I saw.

"Heck, what is this?”. I screamed out. My hair was all over the place, looking as if I had just engaged in a fight with a wild beast, and my lips were still a little bit swallowed by the kiss.

I rushed back to the vanity table and applied some hair oil to my hair before combing it, and then I packed it into a low ponytail. I looked at my lips and sucked them a little bit. I just hope that it will be back to normal before I finish studying.

I sprayed some perfume on my body, then took a hotter and a pen before I headed downstairs.
I am the Tutur in the general study, which is on the first floor. I don’t know the location of the study, so I just hope that once I reach downstairs, I will meet someone who will direct me there. Although I have been in this place for more than a month now, I still get lost sometimes, and I have so many rooms that I have yet to explore. But it’s not my fault, though. If I am not mistaken, the palace should have about one hundred and fifty rooms. I know that I am never going to get to know all the complete rooms. I just dedicate my energy to knowing only the rooms that I will make use of.

I came out of the elevator and noticed that the hallway was surprisingly empty.

“Like seriously?”. I thought. On the days that I do not wish to see any now around, the hallway will be full of workers, but just this once that I needed assistance from them, none is available. What a funny world! I thought of going to the kitchen because I was sure that I would find at least one person in there, but I don’t know the direction to the general kitchen since the kitchen I make use of is the one in the penthouse.

After tapping my shoes around the hallway for a few minutes, I decided to go to the main entrance because I would find some guards standing there. Just as I decided to make my way to the main entrance, I noticed a maid passing by a little distance away from me.

“Hey!” I shouted, and they turned and looked at me, and I waved at them to come over.

“Good afternoon, Mam.”. They both greeted me simultaneously. This must be a general habit of the people in the pack.

“Afternoon to you ladies. I am on my way to the study, but unfortunately for me, I am not actually sure of where the study is located.”. I sheepishly said,.

"Okay, Mam, we will take you to the location.”. One of them responded.

“O no! Don’t bother yourself. Just give me the directions, and I will head there myself.”. I told them because they looked as if they were on their way somewhere, and I would not like to delay them any further than I already have.


"No, it’s actually fine, ma. The study is not far away from here, so it won’t be a problem at all.”. The other maid explained.


"Okay, if you say so''. I replied to her. I was already late, and I didn’t want to be late because that wouldn’t give me a good impression. The maids lead me towards a hallway opposite from where they are coming from. After passing about five to six doors, we arrived at a double door, and they both stopped walking, so I guess this is it.

“Here we are, mam.”.


“Thank you so much.”. I told them with a smile on my face.

“No problem, Mam.”. They responded and turned to take their leave.


“Have a nice day.”. I screamed after them. I am not so sure that they heard me, though, because I did not receive a response from them. Or maybe they heard me but did not choose to reply. Anyway, that’s not my problem at all. I took a deep breath before opening the door and entering the study.
The person there was sitting on an armchair, which was backing the door, so I could see the person. I cleared my throat to get the attention of the person, and that did it.

The person stood up and turned to face me. It’s a middle-aged woman.

“Good afternoon”. I greeted her with a tight smile on my face.

“Good afternoon to you too, my fair lady. Please come in and have a seat.” The woman begged me to come over and sit on the armchair opposite her. I said a silent thank you to her and went over and took my seat before she did the same.


“How are you liking your stay over in the pack so far?” The woman asked, which I guess she did to engage me in a conversation.

"Well, I have liked it so far.” I gave her a short reply, and that made her lose her smile a little bit.

"Seriously, young lady, you have to lose yourself a bit. I am not here to, but are you okay?” The woman said that, and I nodded my head at her.


“Okay then. That’s good. Let’s start by introducing ourselves to each other. My name is Grace, the head of the Java Tutors”. The woman introduced herself, and my eyes immediately widened. I can’t believe they actually sent the head herself to come and tutor me.

“Em, my name is Sophia.” I was not introducing the fact that I am Alpha’s mate.

"Well, nice to meet you, Sophia.”.

“Nice to meet you too Mrs Grace”.
