Chapter ninety one

Chapter Fifteen

Anna’s POV

After we ate, I decided to take a shower and change into new clothes. Asher told me that his beta had brought some clothes for me. I am really touched by all the care I am receiving from them.

I had just got out of the shower and dried myself off. I looked at myself in the mirror.
All I saw was scars and bruises everywhere I
I don't think I had a clear bit of skin.

Then it sinks in. What's going to happen when I leave the hospital? Will I have to go back to my dad.? I started shaking at the thought of that. My heart was thumping in my chest and my panic was rising. What if Asher makes me go back? I don't think I'd survive.

"Anna, are you okay in there?" Asher called out from outside. He had earlier stepped out to give me some privacy.

Speak of the devil and he will appear. I quickly
got dressed and answered.

"Yes I'm fine I'll be out in a minute."
Trying to suppress my panic as I walked out. As soon as I walk out of the door, I am instantly wrapped in a hug.

"It's ok, you're safe now. I won't let anything or
anyone hurt you again. I'm sorry I wasn't there sooner"

It was like he knew I was upset and said the right thing.

I broke into sobs and tears. Could I actually
be safe? I trusted Asher so I knew he was telling me the truth.

“You can tell me what happened whenever you are ready," Asher said and pulled us to sit on a sofa in the hallway.

"When I was twelve my mother died. It was all my fault. If I had worn the seatbelt as I was instructed to, then Mom would have survived the accident. My father couldn't cope so he started drinking. When I turned thirteen, he hit me for the first time. I think something snapped that day because he was himself for a few weeks then it was my mother's anniversary and he started drinking then everything went downhill"

By the end of this, I had silent tears running down my cheeks. Asher pulled me in for another
hug.

" shhh! Stop blaming yourself for the death of your mother. It was not your fault. You were not the one that caused the accident, okay? And as for your father, I promise you, I won't let him hurt you ever again.``. Asher hugged me tight as I sobbed in his arms.

“But where will I stay from now? I can’t possibly go back home. My dad may kill me.” I reasoned.

“You can move in with me and I'll protect you. We can share a room or there's an empty bedroom beside mine in the pack house. You could stay there if you want to. If it's too soon.” Asher offered.

I didn't know what to say. I was silent for a few minutes. As I stayed quiet I saw his worry increase. I put my hand on his arm to reassure him. Would this be ok? I trust him so I made up my mind.

"Ok"

A big grin broke out on his face and he pulled
me into a hug and I flinched slightly as he hit
my rib. He quickly pulled away looked at
me apologetically and said.

"Let's go"

We walked out of the pack’s hospital. Asher opened the door of his car and helped me to get in before going over to the driver's side.

We drove for about twenty minutes before we arrived in front of a double gate. A guard opened the door for us and saluted us as we drove in. Asher waved at the guy and we kept driving.

We drove along a pathway with tall trees on both sides. We kept driving for ten minutes before we arrived in front of a gigantic building.

“We are here!.” Asher stated as he turned off the engine of the car.

I sucked in a breath when I saw the building. I had expected the building to be big but not this big.
We got out of the car and I got a proper look at the building. It is a six-story building. The whole building is covered with carved stones.
At the centre of the driveway is a very big water fountain that has a sculpture of a wolf in the centre.

“Wow, your house is big and beautiful!”. I couldn't help myself but say it.

Asher let out a small laugh; “ thank although it isn’t my house but rather the pack house. Come I will give you a tour!”.

We walked into the building. The walls inside the building are made of expensive marble including the floor too.

As Asher gave me the tour, I was more amazed. Everything in the house screams expensive.

The first floor had multiple kitchens and numerous sitting rooms, a game room, a huge library and guest rooms. The next 4 floors had accommodation. The next floor had offices and music rooms a gym and other entertainment rooms while the last floor was completely for the Alpha’s family.

As Asher showed me his room he asked

"Okay so if you want you can stay with me. But if you're not ready. I mean I understand if you are not. There's a room next....."

I cut him off with a hug and said
"I'd love to stay with you"

His eyes brightened and his smile gleamed.
He grabbed my arm and showed me around his bedroom which is now ours. He showed me the walk-in closet that was half empty. He then told me the empty side was mine to do as I pleased. Then came the balcony then the ensuite. The mirror was half empty for my stuff. He is so sweet. Everything is magnificent.

I stifled a yawn and Asher noticed.

"Maybe you should get some rest. It's been a long day. I will wake you up for dinner!.”

I nodded and we got into the bed together. We got on separate sides but as soon as he threw the blanket over us he pulled me into his hard chest. I felt safe in his arms. With that I let the darkness come.
