Chapter fifty nine

I came out of the bath and entered the walk-in closet and changed into something comfortable. I wore a red sweat shirt and black sweatpants.

I walked into the bedroom and found Jane sitting on the edge of my bed and reading a storybook.

“Jane!.” I called her name.


“Luna! You are finally out of the bathroom!.” She emphasized.


“Meaning?”. I raised my brows at her.

“Nothing. You took too long in the bathroom and I was thinking you might have fallen asleep or something. Just when I decided to check up on you, I heard your footsteps”. Jane explained.


“O I was enjoying the bath that is why.” I explained to her.

“Why are you here?”. I asked her.

“I brought in your food and I also want to tower over you!.” Jane explained.


“Awww, why do you want to see me? Do you miss me this much? To think that I have only been gone for like five hours”. I tease Jane. I still can’t believe I was actually gone for five hours.

“You have no idea. The whole pack was upside down looking for you. You have to see how the Alphas almost went mad when they found out that you were missing. They stumble into the school and head directly to the director of the school. Alpha Xiao nearly strangled the poor man to death if not that Alpha Xavier had intervened .” Jane summarizes what happened when I went missing. I really don’t know what to say. I just hope that I won’t be in trouble when u go to school tomorrow.

“Eat your food, Luna. It will get cold.” Jane said and brought the food tray to my front. I ate in silence without talking.

“Wait! Those that mean everyone in the school knows I am the Alpha's mate now?.” I asked. The question came to my mind when I was eating food.

“Yes and by now, I am very sure that almost everyone if not all the people in the pack knows that!.” Jane stated.


“What?.” How am I supposed to face everyone tomorrow? I remember the conversation we had about the Alpha’s mate. And that same day they all find out that I am actually the Alpha’s mate. I cringed when I thought of what must have been their reaction when they found out.


“Yes. You know what they say, the walls have ears. Besides, it's been a long time since the pack has something new to gossip about. Now this information will be in people’s mouths for a long time probably until you are officially crowned as the Luna of the pack”. Jane explained.

“O my, I don’t think I am ready for this at all. What if they judge me? What if the pack members don’t want me for their Alphas? I mean look at me, I am not pretty or strong enough. Heck, most of the time I feel like the twins are too good for me and one day, they are going to wake up and realize that they don’t want”. I sob out my biggest fear to Jane. Honestly, everything seems to be true. I am afraid that one day I will wake up and realize that it is all a dream.


“O Luna, I am sorry to say this. But you are stupid to think that way. Have you seen the way the Alphas look at you? Everyone could see the love and affection they have for you. The Alphas really love you. I just hope that you will open your eyes and see it. And for what people say, who cares? People are always going to have something bad to say about you no matter how you try to please them. So fuck them! Please stop allowing insecurities to hinder your chance of having a happy life with your mates!.” Jane advises me. Her words came out very harsh but what she says it’s actually true. I am busy allowing insecurities and uncertainty of the future to hinder me from having a happy life. I seriously need to stop thinking about what people will say and think and just live my life the way I want.

“Thank you so much for the advice. What you say it’s true, it’s high time I let go of my insecurities and leave my life just as I wish.” I appreciate Jane for the advice.


“Okay. So do you remember that you promised to gist with me about your date night when you come back from school?” Jane reminds me with a big smile plastered on her face. I can’t believe she has not forgotten about it up till now. I really told her that because I thought she would forget about it by the time I was back.


“Jane! I am very tired”. I pouted as I yawned.

“I have a feeling you will say that. With all that happened today, I know that you need rest, so we will postpone the gist until tomorrow evening.” Jane murmured. I know talking her out of it is very useless.

“O then tomorrow evening it is.” I agreed with the new arrangement.

“That’s good. I will allow you to rest now. Good night Luna”. Jane said as she stood up and picked the food tray up.


“Good night Jane”. I yawned again.

Jane walked to the door before she turned; “ o Luna!.” She called out.

“Yes Jane!.” I turned to face her.

“Don’t forget to dream about your mates,” Jane screamed before she left the room even before I could respond back.

Very crazy person. Even with her love for gossip and all that, I actually enjoy her company a lot. A minute after she left, I fell asleep.
