Chapter forty nine

“Are you finally done admiring me?.” Xiao asked as he took off the headphones and turned to face me.

“Yes!…I mean, I was not admiring you.” I started blushing.

“Really?”. Xiao gave me a look, which meant he did not believe me even a bit.

“Okay, maybe a little bit. How did you even know I was here? I mean, you were wearing headphones over your ear, and your back was turned to me.” I can’t help but ask.

"Well, you can blame it on Alpha’s high sense of hearing. The moment you entered the building, I knew you were here.”. Xiao started.

“Anyway, where is Xavier?.” I asked Xiao, who did not reply to me. I asked him again, but I did not get a reply from him. I looked at him and saw that he was staring at me very intensely. I swallowed hard and began to feel self-conscious and nervous.

I wrapped my hands around my arms because I was feeling naked with the intense staring eyes of Xiao.

The action I took by wrapping my hands over my chest caused me to push my breasts up a bit. The little movement made Xiao let out a groan. He walked to me and enclosed the little space that was between us. He pulled me into his arms and put his head on my head as he inhaled me.

“Why are you wearing a turtleneck?.” Xiao murmured in a very husky voice that did not sound like his. But surprisingly enough, the voice turns me on. I was turned on and disappointed at the same time.

“Why is he murmuring about the dress? Does that mean that he does not like it?”. I thought in my mind.

“Why? You don’t like the outfit?”. I asked Xiao in a disappointed voice, lancing with hurt.

“Where did you get this idea from? What do you think I don’t like?”. Xiao, who looked confused and lost, asked.

“Well, it’s because of the question you asked,” I whispered, and I was not sure he heard me. But since he has Alpha super-hearing abilities, I am very sure he heard.


“You got it all wrong. Your neck is my favourite part of your body, so I am not so happy that you covered it. You look very gorgeous. I can’t believe I allow other men to see you dress like this. This will be the last time. If you still don’t believe that I like your outfit, how about I show you? Xiao explained and before I could comprehend what he meant by the last part, I was back in his arms. He pulled me close to him until there was no space left between us. My breath hitched up as my breast made contact with his chest.

Xiao roamed his hands from my waist down to my hips. He kept moving his hands slowly in a teasing manner. The next thing I felt was his cold hands on my exposed thigh through the slit of my dress. He started rubbing his palm in a circular motion on my lap.


Just before he took things further, the door opened and the door pushed open and Xavier entered inside wearing an apron and pushing a troll containing different dishes.

"Wow, I can’t believe you guys have started the party without me?.” Xavier pouted. Xiao let go of me and gave me a little space.

“What took you so long? Where are you cooking for the whole pack?”. Xiao mocked Xavier.

“And so what if I was?.” Xavier fired at Xiao before he turned his attention back to the troller. He sets the food on the table. Xiao held my hand as he walked to the dining table.

“Wow! Little mate, look at you! You don’t look so little anymore. You look so gorgeous.” Xavier complimented me as soon as he saw me come under the light. He walked up to me and held my face in his hands before he dropped a soft kiss on my lips. I melted against the kiss and started to move my lips over his. But the kiss ended quite soon, leaving me wanting more.

“What about me?.” Xiao pouted his lips as he let
got out of my hand and stopped his feet like a child.


“What about you?.” A confused-looking Xavier asked his twin brother.

“My kiss! You kissed her but you did not kiss me. It’s not fair! Don’t I deserve some love too?.” Xiao childishly continued to stamp his feet.
I laugh at how childish Xiao is behaving now. He looks different from his usual cold self. I love this version of him.


“O my poor baby, Daddy is sorry to not have kissed you. But don’t you worry; Daddy will give you a special one. Now come to Daddy and get your kiss!.” Xavier dramatically started and made his way to Xiao. He grabs Xiao and tries to kiss him on the lips. Poor Xiao kept dodging his face as he tried to get out of Xavier’s grip.


“You fool! I was only joking. And who the fuck are you that I should call you Daddy? You must be delusional.” Xiao stated this as he finally got out of Xavier’s grip.


“You can’t blame me, bro; you asked for it.”. Xavier sticks out his tongue at Xiao, who, in return, shows him a middle finger. I stood at the side, laughing at them. It feels so good to see both of them teasing each other like this.


“Okay, enough entertainment for now. Let’s eat before the food gets cold. All other things can follow later.” Xavier ordered as he took off the apron. He is also wearing a Grey sweater and a black trouser like Xiao. You cannot differentiate the two of them right now except by the colour of their eyes. Xiao pulled out a chair for me and I sat down. Since the table is round, I sandwich both of them. We ate in silence with no one talking. It is one of the first things I noticed about the Alphas, they don’t like talking while eating.
