Chapter twenty four

We made our way outside to the compound and found a flashy white Rolls-Royce waiting for us.

“I can’t believe this is our ride!”. Lisa cl screamed excitedly as we entered the car. The seats of the car are so comfortable for a car. The interior itself makes one feel as if you are in a five-star hotel private lounge. The car also has its own fridge. Rose, Lisa and I kept our mouths open as we continued to look around the car.

“Good morning, mams. My name is Derrick, and I will be your driver for the day.” The man in the driver’s seat greeted us and brought us out of our awe.

“Morning Derrick”. We all managed to respond.


“So where are we heading?”. Derrick asked us and I looked at Rose and Lisa, waiting for one of them to state our next location.




“We will go to the Sky Cafe first of all,” Lisa said after much thought. Derrick nodded his head and started driving out of the palace. I wined down the car as we kept on driving. It’s so good to breathe such fresh air again. Ever since I came to the palace, this is my very first time coming out. I feel very free. It’s not that I am caged or imprisoned in the palace. Nope! It’s just that it’s good to get out of the house and have a breath of fresh air.



“We are here!”. Derrick said as he packed the car.

“Thank you, Derrick. Do you want to go in with us?”. I asked him as I alighted from the car.

“No, I'm fine; I will just wait here!”. Derrick replied back.


“If you say so!”. I responded, and Rose, Lisa, and I started making our way towards the cafe. The cafe is painted white and sky blue. Even the security guard outfit is sky blue in colour. Once we entered the cafe, I understood why it was called “the Sky Cafe.”. The ceiling of the cafe looks as if it’s the sky itself. Heck, the whole cafe looks as if it’s the sky itself. The tables, chairs, and light bulbs are made in the shape of clouds.


“Good morning, and welcome to Sky Cafe. Would you like to have a regular seat or a private room?”. A beautiful waitress approached us and asked.

“We would like to have a private room, please.”. Rose answered.


“Okay. This way, please.” The waitress said this as we started following her. As we passed by the tables, I noticed people giving me looks and stares. I don’t blame them, though. Although I no longer smell like a rogue, I don’t smell like them since I am not part of the pack. One may think that I am from another pack and that I am visiting a friend or relative.

“Here we are. Please call me back when you are ready to make an order.” The waitress said this as she made her way out of the private room. The private room looks more furnished than the outer part of the cafe.

We all sat down and made our orders before we called the waiter back to take our orders, which we got in a few minutes after ordering.

“So, how is life at the palace so far?”. Lisa asked me as she took a sip of her strawberry milkshake.

“It’s fine”. I answered her as I took a bite of my doughnut.

“Just fine? Seriously? O, come on! It can be just fine.” Lisa persuaded me to tell her more.

“What do you want me to say then?”. I asked her.

"Anything, but just dine. You cannot have two hot alpha males as your mates and live in such an amazing palace. Tell me everything; it’s just fine.” Lisa fired at me.

“Well, it’s something I don’t want to say.” I honestly told her.

“O.” Lisa wanted to start saying before Rose hit her arm.

“Lisa stops with all the questions and gives her breathing space.”. Rose queried Lisa, who stuck her tongue out at Rose.



"Sorry, Sophia, I didn’t mean to overwhelm you; I am just curious, that’s all.

“It’s actually fine.”. I answered as I took a sip of my iced tea.

“Anyway, just to satisfy my curiosity, have you and your mates kissed already?”. Lisa asked as she winked at me.


“What? No!!!”. I quickly answered her while blushing deeply.


“What? Why?” Lisa screamed.

I did not answer her but kept on blushing deeper.

“If I have one of these hot males talk more than two, nothing is going to stop me from jumping on their bones the first time I meet them. I mean, what are you waiting for?”. Lisa asked, but I didn’t give her any reply and kept on shaking my head and blushing deeper.

“As much as I always like to disagree with Lisa, this time she is actually right. What the heck are you waiting for? The fact that your friends are patient enough not to touch you is a miracle. Alpha’s are usually very possessive and uncontrollable when they find their mate and usually mark their mate within the first week of meeting them. So the fact that you haven’t kissed you yet is a miracle.” Rose said that and had me thinking. If what she says about Alpha is true, then “why is it that mine has not made any attempt to make me? Or is it because they don’t actually want me?”


“Stop it!”. Rose said, bringing me out of my thoughts, and I raised my head up to look at her.

“I know what you are thinking, so you better stop it. I am very sure the reason why your friends didn’t touch you is because they are giving you enough space with all that has happened.”. Rose further explained.


"Yeah, that should be it because, babe, have you seen yourself? You are irresistible.”. Lisa hyped me as she tried to cheer up the atmosphere, and that did it because we all laughed and continued listing. About thirty minutes later, we were done, and we went to the cashier and paid. I also ordered a box of doughnuts and ice tea for Derrick.

“Here you go! This is for you.”. I handed over the package to Derrick as I entered the car.

“Thank you, man. Where next?”. He asked as he took the package and kept it in the front seat.


“We are going to the elite saloon”. Rose answered and Derrick started driving towards there.
