Chapter fifty six

We all stood and everyone headed to their various stations.

“Good morning Jennifer!”. I greeted them once I entered the classroom.

“Morning Sophia. You look so different from yesterday”. Jennifer commented looking at my dress.

“Good difference or bad difference”. I asked her.

“Good difference I assure you. It’s not as if you look bad yesterday. Quite the opposite though, you actually looked very good yesterday, it’s just that your outfit was too formal for a learning environment especially a nursery school”. Jennifer explained. After which we put the class in order and waited for the students to arrive.

The children started arriving two minutes later. The class was so fun because the children were very active and willingly participated in every activity.

Soon it was lunchtime, and I decided to still have my stroll. Hopefully undisturbed this time around. Attached to the school is a thick forest. I didn’t notice how deep into the forest I had walked until I wanted to go back but when I turned, I couldn’t remember the way I followed and moreover, there was no route for me to follow.

I kept on walking trying to see if there was a way that would lead me back to the school but it seemed as if I was going in circles on and on.


Fear started crippling into my heart. I can’t believe I was lost. I just hope they figure it out already. The big problem is that I didn’t even tell anyone I left. I doubt if they can trace my scent though because the ummated and unmarked members of a pack have similar scent to each other. After walking in what seemed like forever, I was tired and decided to have a rest. The sun was going down and it started to get dark already.

“I missed my mate. I missed everyone at the palace.” I started down and started crying.

After a while, I heard a voice calling my name.

“Sophia! Are there?.” The voice called again. The voice sounded much like Xavier’s voice.

“Xavier? Is that you?”. I asked, sitting upright.

“Sophia? Thank God you finally responded.” Xavier answered with his voice filled with relief.


“Yes it is me. Wait, how come you are talking in my head?”. I wondered.


“It’s the pack’s mind link. I wasn’t very sure it would work since we have not yet communicated through it”. Xavier answered.


“Thank God! I am scared of Xavier! I don’t know where I am. It is very dark. I am so scared.” I cried out.


“Shhh! Don’t cry, it's going to be okay!! We are going to find you okay.” Xavier cooed at me.


“Okay!”. I answered, trying to stop myself from crying.


“Now. Can you recall where you remember last? Where were you before you got lost?”. Xavier asked me.


“I was at the school garden and then I mistakenly wandered into the forest and that's how I got lost”. I explained to Xavier.



“Okay. Stay where you are. We will be there in about five minutes, okay?.” Xavier assured me.

“Okay!”. I felt relieved that I would soon be found.

After some minutes, I heard the feet of animals running in the garden.


“Xavier? Xiao? Is that you guys? I am over here!”. I kept shouting trying to attract my attention.

After some minutes, I saw a big grey werewolf running towards me.

I was frightened and kept on moving back until I saw the colour of his eyes. His eyes are dark forest green. That’s when I knew that the werewolf was Xiao. He came and stood close to me.

I wrapped my hands around his neck hugged him tight and started crying.

He licked the side of my face in return as he pawed his paw on the ground.

After some minutes, more werewolves came rushing to your side.
Xavier rushed and came to my side while the rest of the werewolves stood far off.

I stood there for a few minutes surrounded by the warmth of my mates' werewolves. They are actually very big. In fact the biggest I have seen in my whole life.

“Let’s get you home little mate”. Xavier's mind linked me.

I climb onto Xiao’s wolf as we set to go home. He ran all through the way home.

Once we reached the palace, the Alphas ran to their private garden and began to transform back into humans.

I blush and turn back so that I won’t see their nakedness even though I am tempted to.

“You have no idea how scared we were when Derrick informed us that you were missing”. Xiao whispered as he hugged me through the back.

“I am sorry I don’t mean to worry you guys, I just wanted to take a walk”. I cried out.

“Shhh! No one is to blame. I am happy that you are here safe and sound”. Xiao cooed as he turned around to face him. He wiped away my tears and hugged me tight.

“You must be tired and hungry, let’s get you inside. You have been gone for five hours!”. Xavier said.

“Wait what? Did he say five hours?”.
