Chapter thirty three

Two days of the Java tutors led us outside. The ceremony is to be held in the garden area behind the event centre. As we went out, I saw many people passing us heading towards the direction of the garden. When we arrived at the garden, the other new members and I had to stand and take a double intake of breath. The garden looks like something that came out directly from a fairytale. The lighting and the decorations were just so magical.

There were a lot of people already seated. I looked around to see if I could spot either Rose, Lisa or Amanda. But since many people were present, I couldn't see them. They led us to our seats just below the stage and to the left. As we passed by I could feel a lot of eyes on us and that made me more nervous than I was already.

I looked up at the stage and saw Xavier and Xiao sitting in the middle of the stage. They were both wearing black Royal apparel. I kept looking at them to see if they would look at my side but they did not so I shifted my attention to the other people on the stage. On the right-hand side is seated Jason while Alfred is seated at the left-hand side followed by other people who I don’t know but I guess are also officials in the pack.


“Welcome every one of you to a very great day.” A lady holding a mic on the stage said. I guess she is the host of the program.

“In case you don’t know why we are here, we are here to officially welcome the new members of the pack and to also bid an official farewell to the members of the pack who are sadly leaving us”. The host continued.

“But before we start the program properly, we would like to first all recognize the presence of our officials. Ladies and Gentlemen, please allow me to introduce to us our handsome Alphas,” The host said and the crowd went wild with cheering. They must really love the Alphas.


“Ladies and gentlemen; Alpha Xiao and Alpha Xavier.”. The host screamed as Xiao and Xavier stood up and waved at the crowd. The crowd went wild with cheering this time around.

“Thank you everyone. I know you all love them because I love them too. But please, we would like to continue.”. The host tries to control the crowd, which keeps on cheering even though Xiao and Xavier have already sat down.



“The Alphas are so handsome. I wish they could be my mate.”. The girl sitting beside me said it with daydream eyes.

"Well, too bad they already have a mate.”. I said to myself,.


The crowd finally quieted down after a while and allowed the host to continue to introduce the rest of the pack’s officials.

After that, some presentations were done. From singing to dancing.
Then we started the main agenda of the day.

"Please, we can have Lucy Thomas and Jennifer Jimi on the stage.”. The host said:. Two beautiful ladies gracefully walk to the stage.


“Lucy and Jennifer here have found their mates in another pack and will be going to join their mate’s pack by next week. So today we wish them an official farewell and also hand them their transfer later.” Jason, who took the pic from the host, explained.

“Jennifer and Lucy will be missed from this pack
as both of them have tried their best to contribute to the development of this pack in their own little way. On behalf of the pack, we wish you a happy life in your new pack. Remember to be an ambassador of this pack over there. And whenever you wish to visit us, feel free to do so and we welcome you with both of our hands open.” Jason explained as he handed over an envelope to both of them. The two ladies were in tears already. It is obvious that they will miss the pack when they are gone. Jason hugged them and the ladies made their way to the seated official who hugged them a farewell.

I held my breath when it was time for Xiao and Xavier to hug them. It pricks my heart to see my mates touching another woman. After that, the ladies were escorted down the stage.

“And now for the second reason we are here today. It is time to welcome the new members of the pack. Please come to the stage”. The host announced Andy's heart started beating very fast. Nervous is an understatement for how I am feeling now.

As we got up to go to the stage, Mrs Grace held my hand and whispered into my ear; “please try and act normal in front of the Alphas. The pack members are not supposed to know that you are mates. At least not yet.” I nodded at her and made my way up the stage. I finally understand why the Alphas refused to even look at me.



“Please give us a little introduction about yourself from which pack you come. And the area in which you would like to serve in”. The host said as she passed the mic to us.

“Good evening everyone, my name is Joseph Douglas, and I am from the New Eclipse pack. It’s a pleasure to be here, I would love to serve in the pack’s hospital.” The first guy introduced himself and the crowd clapped.


“Hello Everyone, My name is Lukeman Ali, and I am from the Owo Light Pack. I am happy to be here and I would love to serve in the pack's military”. The second guy introduced himself leaving me and the other girl.

“Hi everyone, my name is Tori Jilam, I am from Titian Pack. I would love to serve in the library”. The lady introduced herself leaving only me.

I took a deep breath when my mic passed to me; “Hello everyone and good evening. My name is Sophia Gray. I am from the Dark Moon pack. It’s my pleasure to be here and I would love to render myself at the Pack’s school. Thank you”. I said and passed the mic to the host. I am very proud of myself that I was able to say all this without stammering. I have been practicing it and it finally paid off.

“Ladies and Gentlemen, let us now welcome the. Alphas for the ritual”. The host said and the crowd clapped.
