Chapter 900 Picking Up at the Airport

Sandra was fuming, glaring at Bianca. "Just because I've had a rough patch doesn't mean I'll end up like you, unable to keep your husband's heart. I heard Brian's got a mistress and even invested in a TV show for her. Bianca, you better watch out. Having a son with Brian doesn't make you immune to divorce."

"You!" Bianca shot back, her eyes blazing.

Seeing the two about to start another argument, Tatum snapped, "The Vanderbilt family isn't in shambles yet, but you two are already causing drama. It's embarrassing!"

Bianca and Sandra exchanged a look, both filled with mutual disdain.

Tatum rubbed her temples and scolded Bianca, "Bianca, you need to watch your mouth. If Sandra marries into the Reynolds family, you won't have to worry about the future of the Vanderbilt family. Our Ramirez family will have a stronger ally."

Bianca frowned deeply, knowing that in Tatum's eyes, their lifelong happiness was secondary to the family's honor and prosperity.

Whoever could bring glory to the family was the parents' favorite.

"I get it."

Tatum glanced at her, "Don't be resentful. The Vanderbilt family has been targeted recently, and if we can get through this, it would be ideal. If not, we'll have to rely on the Reynolds family."

She then turned to Sandra, speaking earnestly, "Sandra, don't just sit around at home. Visit the Reynolds Group more often."

"Alright." Sandra lowered her gaze.

Recently, she couldn't even get through the doors of the Reynolds Group. Theodore was truly heartless; despite their one-night stand, he refused to acknowledge it.

It made her furious.

Tatum waved her hand in frustration, "Both of you, get out of my sight and do what you need to do."

Sandra and Bianca exchanged another look, then turned away simultaneously, grabbed their bags, and left.

The autumn wind was strong, blowing leaves all over the yard. Bianca's high heels crunched on the dry leaves.

Sandra followed a few steps behind, swinging her bag casually. "Bianca, let me give you some advice."

Bianca stopped and turned to look at her. She had never liked Sandra, even though they were sisters. Sandra always competed with her in everything.

"I have advice for you, too. Theodore may seem cold and unfeeling, but he's very loyal and devoted. He and Phoebe have been on and off for seven years, and he hasn't moved on. Don't think a night of passion will make him marry you. If he were that kind of man, he would have married Vanessa long ago and never given you a chance."

Sandra smirked, "Funny, I admire his loyalty and devotion. If I can make him fall for me, he won't betray me."

Bianca stared at her for a moment, then laughed, "Let's see if you can win him over or fail."

With that, she got into her car and drove off.

Sandra was left in a cloud of exhaust fumes, stomping her foot in anger. Bianca dared to underestimate her; she wouldn't let her get away with it.

She took out her phone and called Lawton.

At that moment, Lawton and Theodore were in the VIP lounge at Riaca City airport, waiting for their flight. Seeing Sandra's call, Lawton glanced at Theodore, who was resting with his eyes closed, and stepped out to answer.

"Mr. Brown, hey, it's Sandra."

Lawton cleared his throat. "Ms. Ramirez, what can I do for you?"

"I heard you and Theodore are on a business trip. When are you guys getting back? I'll come to the airport to pick you up," Sandra said eagerly.

Lawton didn't dare reveal Theodore's schedule. Just as he was about to deflect, the airport announcement sounded, "Passengers on the flight from Riaca City to Kedora, please proceed to boarding..."

Lawton's face changed, and Sandra's laugh came through the phone, "Thanks, Mr. Brown. I'll be at the airport on time."

Before Lawton could refuse, Sandra had hung up. He scratched his head in frustration and returned to the lounge.

Theodore was messaging on his phone. Lawton approached, ready to confess, but then saw the contact name "Wife" on Theodore's screen.

He felt like he was choking, unable to make a sound.

What now?

If he told Theodore about Sandra coming to pick them up, it would ruin his mood. But if he didn't, what if Sandra showed up?

He opened his mouth, but the boarding announcement sounded again. Theodore put away his phone and stood up, "Let's go, time to board."

Seeing Theodore stride out of the lounge, Lawton quickly grabbed his briefcase and ran after him.

Even after the plane took off, Lawton didn't get a chance to inform Theodore. He prayed that Sandra wouldn't find them at the airport.

But when you hope for luck, reality often disappoints.

On the plane, Theodore rested in first class while Lawton was tense in economy. Initially, he thought the flight was too long, but when the announcement said they were about to land in Kedora, he wished the plane could fly for another five hundred years.

Soon, they disembarked and followed the crowd to the exit. Lawton turned on his phone and immediately received a text from Sandra, saying she was at the airport and asking which exit they would use.

He clutched his phone, looking at Theodore walking ahead, and deliberately slowed down, "Mr. Reynolds, I ate something bad on the plane. I need to use the restroom."

Theodore looked annoyed. "Hurry up then."

Lawton wiped his sweat. "Mr. Reynolds, please wait for me. I'll be quick."

Theodore waved him off and leaned against the wall, waiting. Five minutes, ten minutes, twenty minutes passed before Lawton emerged, clutching his stomach, "Mr. Reynolds, sorry for the wait. Let's go."

Theodore glanced at him and strode forward.

Lawton jogged to catch up, hoping Sandra hadn't found them and had left. They collected their luggage and headed to the exit. Seeing no one outside, Lawton sighed in relief.

It seemed Sandra had left.

Theodore was already far ahead, and Lawton hurried to catch up. As they neared the terminal exit, a clear female voice called out.

"Theodore, you took so long! I've been waiting."

Lawton froze, turning to see Sandra running over, ignoring Theodore's cold expression, and linking her arm with his.

"Good thing I didn't leave. I almost missed you. Mr. Brown, I sent you so many messages, but you didn't reply."
