Chapter 931 It Absolutely Cannot Be Phoebe

Sandra's expression tightened as she gripped her wine glass, though she managed to keep a smile. "Mr. Reynolds, I wonder if Ms. Ziegler knows that we once hooked up."

Theodore's lips pressed into a thin line, his expression serious. "Did we? I don't seem to remember."

"Theodore!" Sandra was stunned by Theodore's denial, refusing to acknowledge that night.

Ignoring her furious expression, Theodore replied coldly, "I was drunk that night, but there's one detail I haven't forgotten—the woman had a distinct scent of milk. Sandra, you prefer strong, floral perfumes. I never exposed you because I was bored and wanted to see certain people make fools of themselves in front of me. What exactly were you hoping to achieve?"

His words were harsh and deeply hurtful.

Sandra had never been humiliated like this before, and tears welled up in her eyes. "You're simply too much."

Theodore's expression remained icy. "If you don't want to hear worse, stay out of my sight, Sandra. My patience with you is exhausted."

Sandra gritted her teeth, her face contorted with anger. "Mr. Reynolds, you should be careful with your words, especially when it comes to offending women."

Already irritated by Sandra's disruption, Theodore turned and walked away, unwilling to waste any more words on her.

Sandra didn't chase after him, watching his tall, indifferent figure retreat. Her eyes filled with venomous resentment.

Suddenly, she heard a mocking laugh from nearby.

Sandra composed herself and turned to see Vanessa approaching with Madison.

Madison had just removed her neck brace a few days ago and was accompanying Vanessa to today's industry summit.

Though they worked in entertainment, this summit had little to do with them.

But as Bishop's partner, Vanessa's presence was unquestioned.

Seeing the two, Sandra couldn't resist a jab. "You two are inseparable, always seen together."

Despite any private disagreements, Madison and Vanessa united against external threats.

Madison chuckled. "Ms. Ramirez, you've chased Theodore for three years, only to be discarded. I truly feel for you."

Sandra's expression darkened, resisting the urge to throw her drink at Madison.

She smiled. "Three years is nothing. Some people spent over a decade, only to be abandoned."

Vanessa's expression fell, recognizing Sandra's veiled insult. She glared at Sandra. "Ms. Ramirez, at least I dated Theodore for years. You, on the other hand, were just chasing him."

Sandra sneered. "Ms. Fitzroy, you dated Theodore for years and still got replaced. How can you boast in front of me?"

Vanessa clenched her fists as Sandra continued. "Let's not mock each other. Theodore's disdain for both of us is probably equal."

Madison added, "Exactly. Love breeds hate. Unlike some people who act like clowns in front of Theodore and end up with nothing."

Sandra turned to Madison, her smile polite but dripping with insincerity. "Ms. Reynolds—oh wait, Ms. Sullivan. Your parents swapped you with the real Reynolds daughter. Even after living with the Reynolds for over twenty years, you still act so uncouth. Some people just can't change, no matter how much money they have."

"You!" Madison's face flushed with anger, and if Vanessa hadn't stepped in, things might have gotten physical.

"Sandra!" Vanessa snapped. "What's the point of arguing here? If you're so capable, make Theodore marry you."

Sandra sneered. "Don't worry, I'll make sure you get your wish."

"Then we'll see." Vanessa pulled the fuming Madison away. "Let's go, don't stoop to her level."

Madison spat, "Sandra, I'll see if you can marry into the Reynolds family."

With that, she stormed off.

Vanessa quickly caught up, seeing how upset Madison was. She tried to comfort her. "Why bother with her? She's just full of hot air."

Madison took a deep breath. "Vanessa, she's been visiting Eternal Love Hospital a lot lately. My grandmother likes her. At this rate, she might succeed."

"Her success would be fine, as long as it's not Phoebe. I can accept anyone with Theodore except Phoebe," Vanessa said.

She truly felt that way. As long as it wasn't Phoebe, she wouldn't be as hurt by whoever was with Theodore.

Madison frowned. "Vanessa, are you giving up on Theodore?"

"Theodore sees me like a plague now. What can I do? I can't completely lose my dignity and force myself on him," Vanessa had long given up.

When she threw a bucket of paint on Theodore outside the Empire State Building, she knew they had no future.

Or perhaps even earlier, when Theodore quietly married Phoebe, their chances were gone.

She had wasted three years living in humiliation.

Madison just didn't want Phoebe to become part of the Reynolds family again. She and Edward were now dating and would eventually marry.

If Phoebe rejoined the Reynolds family, they'd often meet. If Edward rekindled feelings for Phoebe, Madison would be a laughingstock.

So, anyone marrying Theodore couldn't be Phoebe!

"I don't think Sandra stands a chance. Theodore looked at her like she was trash earlier, probably disgusted," Madison said.

She had seen Theodore's gaze at Phoebe, filled with deep love—that was the look of someone truly in love.

Vanessa said, "We'll see what tricks she has."

Theodore mingled at the summit, where everyone discussed the landmark building bid. Some tried to gauge his opinion.

Theodore attended the summit to mislead others, hinting that the Reynolds Group wouldn't miss such an opportunity.

The area was the new center, destined to be a talked-about place for decades, even centuries.

Hearing his confident tone, people envied the Reynolds Group's wealth while secretly planning to compete.

As everyone pondered, a commotion arose at the entrance. They looked up to see a man in a tuxedo walk in.

He was handsome and tall, vaguely familiar.

Soon, someone recognized him and whispered to their companion, "Isn't that Donovan? I must be seeing things. Wasn't he supposed to be dead?"
