Chapter 963 Paternity Test Report

Theodore choked on his drink, coughing violently.

Phoebe quickly poured him a glass of warm water and handed it to him.

"Here, drink this," she said, her concern overriding any embarrassment she might have felt.

Theodore finally caught his breath, his face and ears flushed red.

He looked down to see Hubert, Boris, and Noomi standing nearby, watching him with worried expressions.

"Are you okay, Theodore?" Noomi asked, her voice full of sympathy.

She always dreaded coughing when she had a cold, so she was particularly empathetic.

Theodore held onto Phoebe's hand and took a few sips of water, feeling his throat ease. "I'm fine," he croaked.

Boris tilted his head. "Your voice sounds rough, Theodore. You sure you're okay? You don't have to put on a brave face for us."

"Yeah, Mom, we should take Theodore to the hospital later," Hubert suggested.

Evelyn chuckled. "Alright, everyone, come eat. The sandwiches are getting cold."

Hubert, Boris, and Noomi climbed into their little chairs and started munching on their sandwiches.

Seeing that Theodore was okay, Phoebe went to the kitchen to help Evelyn with breakfast.

Evelyn teased, "Seeing how in love you two are, maybe we should move Hubert, Boris, and Noomi into my room?"

Phoebe blushed and stomped her foot. "Mom, you're embarrassing me!"

Evelyn laughed. "I'm embarrassing you? Look at how you two are acting. Anyone who heard Hubert, Boris, and Noomi earlier would think you two were..."

"Mom!" Phoebe grabbed the breakfast tray from her and stormed out, flustered.

Evelyn shook her head with a smile. She was genuinely happy to see them getting along so well.

If only Hubert, Boris, and Noomi were Theodore's biological children, she thought.

The breakfast table was filled with laughter and warmth.

Theodore's phone rang. He glanced at the caller ID and saw it was Lawton. He frowned, not intending to answer.

The call ended, but Lawton called again.

Theodore, moved by his persistence, picked up the phone.

"Lawton, this better be important!"

Hubert, Boris, and Noomi rarely saw Theodore so serious. They looked at him with wide eyes, a bit scared.

Theodore's expression softened immediately, and his tone became gentler.

Lawton's voice came through the phone. "Mr. Reynolds, good news. The lab just called to apologize. They mixed up the report we sent with one meant for the police."

Theodore gripped his phone tightly and looked at Phoebe. "What does that mean?"

"They said the report I received was for a police case where the person denied any biological relationship and requested a new test. The results came back this morning, confirming no relation. The lab then realized the mix-up and contacted me. The samples I sent in show a 99.99% match."

Lawton's explanation was a bit jumbled, but the message was clear: Theodore was the biological father of Hubert, Boris, and Noomi.

Even though he had suspected it, hearing the confirmation made Theodore's heart race.

He looked at Phoebe, then at Hubert, Boris, and Noomi, back and forth, making them a bit uneasy.

Noomi huddled closer to Boris. "Boris, Theodore's look is scary."

"Like when I see meat," Hubert said, seeking comfort by Boris's side.

Just as they were feeling lost, Theodore suddenly slammed his phone on the table, leaned over, and lifted Phoebe into his arms, planting a big kiss on her cheek.

Phoebe, flustered, saw Hubert, Boris, Noomi, and Evelyn watching. "What are you doing? Put me down!"

Theodore couldn't contain his joy.

Despite his earlier decision not to do a paternity test, the previous report had left a shadow in his heart.

But Lawton's news dispelled that shadow completely.

Hubert, Boris, and Noomi were indeed his biological children.

Now, all he felt was overwhelming love and tenderness.

"Phoebe, thank you!" Theodore kissed her again, unable to hold back his emotions.

Hubert, Boris, and Noomi covered their eyes, giggling. "Theodore kissed Mom!"

Phoebe's face turned red. She noticed Elijah and Riley watching, too. She patted Theodore's arm, signaling him to put her down.

"Everyone's watching. Put me down."

"Yes, ma'am." Theodore smiled and set her down.

They both sat back in their chairs.

Theodore looked at Hubert, Boris, and Noomi, then turned to Evelyn.

"Mom, Phoebe and I have something to tell you."

Evelyn sat up straight, thinking Theodore was about to propose. "Go ahead, I'm listening."

Theodore cleared his throat and glanced at Phoebe before speaking. "Hubert, Boris, and Noomi are my children. I'm their biological father!"

Evelyn's fork clattered to the floor. She stared at Theodore, stunned. Ignoring the fallen fork, she said, "Theodore, are you crazy? How could Hubert, Boris, and Noomi be your children? Phoebe told me she..."

"Mom!" Phoebe interrupted, worried she might say something inappropriate in front of the kids. "That night, it was him, not someone else."

Evelyn was confused. "But how did it turn out to be Theodore? Are you two planning something?"

In front of Hubert, Boris, and Noomi, Evelyn couldn't say much, but Phoebe and Theodore understood.

Phoebe turned to Elijah and Pamela. "Elijah, Pamela, could you watch Hubert, Boris, and Noomi? We need to talk. Mom, let's go to the other room."

Evelyn, still in shock, followed them to a small side room. They sat on the couch.

Evelyn couldn't wait. "Theodore, what's going on? Phoebe told me she was with a male model."

"Mom!" Phoebe's face burned with embarrassment. "I lied to you. It was Theodore that night. We just didn't know it was each other."

Evelyn was even more confused. "How are you sure now?"

Phoebe was about to explain when Theodore took her hand. "I had Hubert's hair tested. We're biologically related."

This explanation was straightforward and undeniable. For Evelyn, the news was shocking.
