Chapter 103. The Child in Her Womb

Sienna wanted to make a hot chocolate in the morning. She had been feeling uncomfortable these days. She still felt the terrible nausea.
As she walked downstairs to go to the kitchen, she heard a footstep sound on the second floor. It was Daniel. He just got out of his study room.
And when his eyes saw Sienna walking halfway downstairs, he shouted out, “SIENNA!”
She immediately stared up to see him walking toward her.
She sighed heavily and muttered to herself, “What again now?”
But then she didn’t want to care about whatever Daniel wanted to do. She got enough of his bad temper. She didn’t feel like starting a war with him. She just wanted to live peacefully.
As she walked faster to the kitchen, Daniel called out her name again. He was annoyed that Sienna intentionally ignored him.
She heard him exclaiming out behind her, “Didn’t you hear me, Sienna?! I’m talking to you now! Hey…”
And when she entered the kitchen room, she finally turned her back to see him entering the arched door. She could see his face was boiled with rage.
“What is it?” Sienna asked uninterestedly.
“We have a lot to talk about. We haven’t finished our discussion the last time. You keep on avoiding me!” Daniel snarled out emotionally.
Sienna took a deep breath as she grabbed a yellow mug from inside the glass cabinet. And then she glanced at him for a second.
Daniel shouted out again, “You have to explain yourself. I want to know who is the child inside your womb?!”
Sienna narrowed her eyebrows in disbelief at him. How could he accuse her like that? He talked as if she was pregnant with another man beside him.
And besides, she didn’t even know if she was really pregnant or not at the time. All that she knew, she was just feeling uncomfortable.
“Seriously, Daniel. We have nothing to talk about. If what you mean that Nolan is involved in our relationship, it’s over now!”
Daniel muttered as he approached her, “You were cheating with him. How could you?”
Sienna rolled her eyes, annoyed. And then she snapped back at him, “It’s been four days and you keep on asking me the same damn thing! I’m tired to tell you that it was just a mistake! Nolan and I don’t have anything. Forget it, Daniel!”
“Yeah, you probably won’t say that if Nolan was serious with you,” Daniel said harshly. “You would probably run away with him, leaving me behind here.”
Sienna pinched her eyes, bewildered by what he said.
“And you will sleep with him every single day to fulfill your pathetic lust toward him!” Daniel barked out.
This time, Sienna gasped the air. She was surprised by the words that he said.
“Daniel! How could you say all that?” Sienna muttered. “You know what? I can’t do this anymore. I want you to divorce me!”
At the moment she said the word of divorce, he bulged his eyes out. He was annoyed that Sienna dared to mention it again.
“Just please, divorce me. I don’t want to see you anymore. I don’t want to have this fight forever with you. I’m tired,” Sienna muttered emotionally.
This time, Daniel was quiet. He seemed to think about something at the time.
And then he said, “We can’t. I won’t let you go.”
Afterward, Sienna threw the mug harshly on the kitchen table. And then she turned to see him with eyes wide opened.
“Besides, I have to know. Who is the child in your womb?” Daniel asked again.
Sienna sighed heavily. “I swear to God, Daniel! I didn’t sleep with any men but you! And I don’t think I’m pregnant!”
“Then it’s time for us to go to the hospital to find out,” Daniel demanded.
Sienna rested her palms on her waist and stared up at him. She was annoyed that he was being persistent to prove it.
“I am not pregnant!” Sienna snarled out.
“I don’t believe you! Especially after I saw Nolan groped your body wildly four days ago!” Daniel exclaimed out in return.
Sienna flinched. She was terrified by his bad temper. And she didn’t have anything to say in return to defense herself since it was the truth. Nolan was touching her body. And Daniel witnessed the scene. She was embarrassed by herself. She felt like a cheap woman.
“Let’s go now. I can’t wait any longer to find that out!” Daniel shouted out as he quickly dragged her arm.
She whined in pain. “No! I don’t want to! There is no need to check on me!”
“Are you afraid that the child in your womb is Nolan’s child? Or maybe it’s your ex-boyfriend’s child, huh?” Daniel accused her once again.
She pursed her lips inward. She tried to be patient when talking with him, but she really got enough of his false accusation.
“Let me go, Daniel! I don’t want to go with you!” Sienna barked out when Daniel kept on dragging her toward the terrace.
He was so strong that she couldn’t fight him back. She could only yell out and whine out.
Eventually, that morning, she was dragged to get into his car.

On the way to the hospital, while driving his sedan car, Daniel got a phone call from Hamuza.
While sitting beside him, Sienna was listening to his phone conversation carefully. She wondered if something that Hamuza would say on the phone has anything to do with her aunt.
Her heart was racing anxiously whenever she imagined it.
But turned out, her hunch was right on the point. Even though Hamuza didn’t talk about her aunt directly, but he reported to Daniel about Grigori and Aleksei’s whereabouts at the time.
“What did you say?!” Daniel looked mad when talking on the phone. “They have just come back from Russia? And four days ago?”
Sienna noticed that those Russian men once returned to their homeland.
“So, they will be in New York by tomorrow morning, huh?” Daniel muttered. “Good, I want you to keep your eyes on them.”
Slightly, Daniel stole a glance at Sienna. She immediately looked away when his eyes caught her staring at him intensely.
She felt pretty awkward once he pretended to clear his throat. And then he spoke on the phone again, “Find out anything you can about what they have been doing these days. We have to be one step ahead of them, Hamuza.”
When he said *one step ahead*, Sienna gulped down her saliva nervously.
Daniel was a mafia. And he was too smart to be trapped into the game of those Russian men. And Daniel always won the game at the end of the day.
And that what made Sienna scared. She was terrified about her aunt’s safety. Her aunt was playing such a dangerous game by doing such a stupid vengeance toward Daniel.
Soon after, Daniel hanged up the phone call.
And the hospital building was seen only a few blocks away from the avenue.

As soon as Daniel parked his sedan car in the hospital’s parking lot, he quickly got out of the car. Once he opened Sienna’s car door, she was being dragged out forcefully.
“Let go of me! Seriously, Daniel! I can walk by myself!” Sienna snarled out peevishly.
Afterward, Daniel let go of her arm. He let her walked by herself. But he was still watching her movement cautiously.
Sienna didn’t have any option but to obey him. That day, there were a lot of people that visited the hospital. She didn’t want to make a scene in front of these people.
After Daniel had made an appointment at the frontline desk, and then he returned to sit with her in the waiting room.
“Let’s see if this baby in your womb is mine or not,” he whispered.
She instantly gave him a disbelief stare. How could Daniel say such a thing? He had been harsh toward her ever since he caught her cheating on him.
And of course, normally, he would feel jealous and angry. But this was just too much.
When the gynecologist finally called out for her name, Daniel immediately escorted her to meet the doctor.
Although she was assured she was not pregnant, her mind was terribly chaotic from the inside. She was feeling terribly nervous to be diagnosed by the doctor.
After the examination was done, that female doctor dressed in a white coat and a stethoscope hanging on her neck said, “Congratulation, Ms. Wilson, you are pregnant.”
She instantly bulged her eyes out and snapped back, “Wh… what did you say, Doc?”
“You have been pregnant for a month, Ms. Wilson,” the doctor informed her. “That’s why you have been feeling this nausea.”
At that moment, Daniel leaned back on his chair and held his breath.
“Is it not because I ate something wrong maybe?” Sienna still didn’t believe it.
The doctor chuckled out and shook her head. “No, Ms. Wilson, the examination we have just done showing the symptom of a pregnancy…”
“Please, doctor…” Daniel cut her off immediately, “I want you to run a further test. I want to know if the baby in my wife’s womb is my bloodline or not.”
Sienna glanced at him, hugely surprised. “Daniel!”
The doctor also looked taken aback. But then she managed to say, “Alright, Mister Wilson, I understand. Then we will have to run the DNA test on your wife.”
