Chapter 72. Evening Dinner (+18)
Sienna couldn’t move her hands nor her legs. She was trapped under his muscular body. Daniel was still pressing her hands on the bed harder each time she tried to move away.
He was intentionally doing this to her, testing her patient all over again. He would never get enough of her.
And she could tell this man was definitely lusting her so hard. For a second, she felt disgusted with the way he kept gazing at her sensually.
When he was about to land his lips on hers, all of a sudden, his phone was ringing loudly.
She felt relieved. She could breathe easier.
Meanwhile, he sighed, annoyed that the sound of his phone ringing was really disturbing his good mood. And he immediately crawled backward and moved away from her.
Daniel muttered peevishly while he was taking out his phone from his pocket black pants, “Damn it.”
For a second, he stared down at his phone screen. He pinched his eyes, looked annoyed about something.
Sienna couldn’t interpret his frustrated expression at the time. She could only feel there was something that obviously disturbed his mood.
Soon after, he walked toward the wide window in the room as he received the phone call.
He was whispering on the phone. Sienna couldn’t really listen to what he was saying. Then she sat on the bed for a moment and tried to eavesdrop on him.
However, she kept watching every move he made carefully. She should be prepared when he hanged up the phone call and if he would approach her again. She should attack him this time. She should protect herself from a hungry lion like him. It was just dangerous dan deathly to be here with him.
He nodded his head a few times while listening to the speaker who talked with him on the phone. And sometimes, he stole a glance at Sienna on the bed. Sienna immediately looked away every time his eyes were on hers.
She felt awkward every time he gave her such an intimidating look. She just didn’t want to feel defeated against him. She had to be able to protect herself.
And then she heard him suddenly raising his voice while talking on the phone, “You heard me! Look up anything you can about this shit. Don’t make me do this myself. You know it won’t end well between us.”
Sienna narrowed her eyebrows, wondering what was the conversation all about. Why he looked angry at the time?
“I want it done by tomorrow morning. Gather all the data you can about this damn prick,” Daniel muttered emotionally. “He should be locked well in his cell after all this time. Find out if anyone has been backing him up to spy on us.”
Sienna immediately glanced at him. She was wondering who would be spying on Daniel and his company if what she heard was correct.
But then she just remembered that Daniel was a Romanian mafia. That should be reasonable why he talked like a mafia boss with whoever was that on the phone.
“If you have nothing better to report to me, I have to go now,” Daniel said firmly. “I have a business to take care of…”
Sienna could feel the rhythm of her heartbeat went faster when Daniel said the latter. She was feeling too damn nervous when he finally hanged up the phone call.
And when he glanced at her again, she closed her mouth tightly.
“Baby…” he murmured as he watched her softly. “You can go take a shower now if you want. I will order food for our evening dinner.”
He didn’t say anything anymore. And then he just left her alone in the bedroom.
She felt bewildered by his attitude. He was very secretive and mysterious. Maybe the phone call really did disturb his mood. And maybe, he also didn’t want Sienna to see his vulnerable side when he felt frustrated.
Thereafter, she could breathe easier. She could be at peace with herself in this cozy bedroom for a while before Daniel came to see her again.
But she didn’t feel like taking a shower. She didn’t feel smelly. She still felt good though.
Thereafter, she spent her time sitting alone on the bed. Her eyes were staring blankly at the glass window. And she would let her mind wandering off somewhere in her own fantasy land that would make her feeling comfortable.
And she would hope, she would be safe here.

As the evening came, Daniel invited her over to enjoy the simple dinner with him. she went to the dining room. There were only the two of them here. He really didn’t hire maids at the time. He said he would only hire them every week on weekends.
He was truly a private man. He enjoyed living in his own company here. She observed carefully how he didn’t want the presence of other people in his house. She tried to understand why he was behaving like that.
And yet, he wanted her presence in his house.
On the contrary, she didn’t feel comfortable here. She felt just like a prisoner, living with a hungry lion that was ready to attack her anytime he liked.
This was insane. How could she dare to accept his offer? But it was certainly not a kind offer. It was a threat. If she didn’t agree to come here, Daniel would be so heartless to make her father and her boyfriend lose their jobs. And she didn’t know what he would be capable of doing more besides that.
She just didn’t feel energized to enjoy the beef lasagna he ordered from the nearby five stars restaurant in the city for her.
“Why are you not eating your food?” Daniel finally reprimanded her.
She was just toying around with the fork and the knife on her white plate. She was not excited to do anything anyway. She lost her senses when she was with him.
“Sienna…” he muttered, wondering why she kept quiet.
When she didn’t respond to him, Daniel immediately threw out his fork and knife harshly on his plate. Sienna immediately stared back at him, surprised. She flinched.
And he only said one firm word to her, “Eat.”
She clenched her jaw. She was still ignoring him anyway.
“What?” Daniel confronted her. He tried to understand her. “Do you want me to change the food for you? Just say what you want, I will ask Hamuza to order the finest food in downtown for you.”
She took a deep breath and glanced at him for a moment. Then she said, “There is no need to do that extravagant thing.”
He smirked and muttered, “Then what? Just tell me. I don’t feel like playing a guess-it-right game with you right now.”
She sighed in disbelief at him. And then she shouted back, “I’m also not very interesting to play anything with you, Daniel.”
For a second, he drank his glass of water before he stared back at her again.
And then Sienna added, “Just do your damn own thing. Mind your own business.”
“You are my business, Sienna,” he emphasized every word for her to hear.
Sienna instantly chuckled out when he said that. How could he be such an ego maniac like this?
Afterward, Sienna watched him well warily as she shouted back, “Am I your property? Is that how you see me as?”
Daniel looked away from her and clenched his jaw hard. He seemed so tensed at the time.
And Sienna kept pushing his patient all over again, “Listen, okay, I am not your property. And keep in mind that I’m only agreed to stay here to protect my father and Jonathan from you.”
He chuckled cynically when she said that. This time, he gulped down the water down his throat until the glass was empty. And then he put down the glass harshly on the table.
Sienna slightly flinched when he did that again. Even they were sitting across from each other at the dining table, she could feel his fiery emotion killing her. She didn’t like this kind of feeling.
The atmosphere between them was really not good. She felt kind of suffocated to be here with him when he was giving her an invisible fiery emotion like that.
“Eat your food now. Don’t make me repeat what I said,” Daniel said firmly to her.
This time, she threw out the fork and knife harshly like what he just did earlier. And then she raised from the chair and walked away from him.
“Sienna! Where do you think you’re going, huh?” Daniel barked out emotionally.
But she didn’t want to care. She kept walking toward the pillars of the house. She wanted to leave the dining room.
However, he didn’t let her leave him like that. Daniel immediately raised from his chair and ran toward her.
And when he finally grabbed her wrist, he hurriedly dragged her back to her chair.
“Sit! And do what I say!” He demanded her.
She whined in pain when he threw her abruptly to the dining chair.
“Ouch! You’re hurting me!” Sienna yelled out.
“Don’t test my patience, Sienna,” he muttered peevishly. “I’m really not in a good mood right now to argue with you. Just sit back and finish your food.”
And the moment he said that, she knew she almost woke the hungry lion inside of him.
