Chapter 104. The Dark Footage

The doctor who ran a DNA test on Sienna was the same doctor who took care of every young wife of the Wilson family. Her name was Doctor Mia. She had a pretty close relationship with the Wilson family.
And this time, when Daniel had a wife, he would like to contact the doctor to help him find out about the baby that Sienna had in her womb.
Thereafter, Sienna was told by the doctor to have a good rest. And Daniel also expected Sienna not to do stupid things that could hurt herself.
And the following day, Sienna obeyed what the doctor said. She had been laying down all day long on the bed while watching some funny videos on the internet.
However, she felt bored. She didn’t want to just lay down on the bed like a weak person. She wanted to do something useful. And something that could make her happy and excited.
But for some minutes, she just ended up laying down quietly on the bed.
Daniel was out there. He was probably busied working privately in his study room.
His study room was located on the second floor. She could just walk there to see what he was up to, and then she could run away.
But then again, she remembered that Daniel demanded her to be a good wife. If she was against him, Daniel probably would do something terrible to the people she loved.
Daniel liked to threaten the people that were important in her life just to get on her nerve. But she didn’t want to make war with him.
“Ugh, God, I want to do something nice,” Sienna muttered to herself.
And then her eyes glanced at the glass window, looking at the bright sky out there. It was around eleven a.m. when she checked the clock on the wall.
“If I were home, I would have opened my flower shop with Cora,” she mumbled. “Oh, I miss home so much…”
And for a second, the image of her dad came across her mind, followed by the image of Estelle and Aunty Milla.
She had not talked with them for a few days. And her dad had been asking her why she didn’t come home yet.
She told her dad a lie that she stayed with Cora. And she told him that she needed the quality time with her best friend, which was totally a big dumb lie.
She was just afraid to tell him the truth because she couldn’t.
And Cora also had been asking her if she was alright these days. Sienna told her that everything was just fine with her and Daniel, which was another big lie she had to keep up.
The more lies she told everyone, the more pain she had to endure. She couldn’t live like this forever. She was really craving for the time she used to date Jonathan. That life felt so sweet.
However, it didn’t mean she was still in love with Jonathan as she used to be. She saw Jonathan as a good person and a good friend to be around. And she felt so terrible that she had to diss him away. She just didn’t want him to get hurt if he was hanging around her for too long.
“I should have just got up and drink something nice,” Sienna muttered as she quickly raised from the bed.
She walked carefully toward the bedroom door. Her body had been feeling heavy lately. It was because of the terrible nausea that she had. It turned out to be the symptom of her pregnancy.
And she didn’t even realize she was pregnant. And how could she even know she was pregnant anyway? This was the first time she had the experience of carrying a fetus inside her womb. Although she had read a lot on the internet about pregnancy, she was still feeling paranoid to embrace the experience for herself.
When she sneaked out of the bedroom, she paused at the doorsill to check around her. The hallway on the second floor was very quiet. Daniel was not seen anywhere there.
When she was about to walk downstairs, she got startled by the sudden thunderous voice that was heard from the corner of the hallway. She immediately looked back to see the door of that study room.
She blinked nervously at first. And then she hesitated to go downstairs. She wanted to see what Daniel up to before she went to make a drink in the kitchen.
As she approached the corner of the hallway, she saw a little gap in between the door of that study room. Daniel didn’t close the door. She could peep what was he doing inside.
“WHAT DID YOU SAY, HAMUZA?” His thunderous voice was heard again, making her flinched in huge astonishment.
Afterward, Sienna carefully stood behind the door to hear his phone conversation with Hamuza. She was being a peeping tom once again.
The more she heard what they were talking about at the time, she learned something surprising though.
Turned out, Daniel just received a threat from unknown numbers that sent him with a private link to watch a video on the internet. She wondered what kind of video was able to make Daniel so damn angry.
“This stupid stranger threatens me. He wants to expose the video to the world. And then what? Does he think I’m afraid?” Daniel muttered on the phone.
However, the look on his face looked tensed and stressed out.
“This stranger asks for a ransom. Pathetic, huh?” Daniel mumbled peevishly. “And how much money does he want?”
Sienna knew that Daniel was not stupid to play this game.
And then she heard Daniel said, “I want you to track down whoever this stranger that wants to attack me.”
Sienna was listening cautiously at the time. She also wondered who was Daniel’s enemy this time.
Afterward, Daniel said on the phone, “Hamuza, tell me if my feeling is right, I feel that the people behind this childish threat are Grigori and Aleksei.”
Sienna gawked when he said that. His feeling could be right though. The last people that had a problem with him were those two Russian men.
“You know that there are only a few people that know about this video footage of my dad,” Daniel murmured while smirking.
Sienna gawked again. She wondered if that was the truth or not.
And then Daniel said to Hamuza, “This old footage shows how my dad was a tough mafia leader. He got rid of the rebels who would fail him in the past. It was all about business. And let me tell you; the business world can be very tough and messy.”
When Sienna was listening more to what he said, she felt the pain in her chest. She felt like she couldn’t hear more of the bitter truth like this. Daniel’s inner circle was truly dangerous mafias. Nolan was right when he told her almost a week ago.
“This footage was taken when my dad wanted to take over the poor land in Russia,” Daniel said firmly. “I still remember that day very well.”
Sienna held her breath for a second. The rumor that Daniel and his family ran a dark business was right.
After a while, Daniel had ended his phone conversation with Hamuza. And then Sienna tried to sneak out carefully, so Daniel wouldn’t realize that she was being a peeping tom.
She went downstairs to make a warm chocolate drink. Once she was done, she brought the cup in her hand and went upstairs.
She heard Daniel’s voice again from across the hallway. She wondered what he was talking about this time.
She hurriedly approached his study room. For a moment, she stood behind the door to listen to what he was saying at the time.
He was on the phone again. And she got hugely surprised when Daniel mentioned her aunt’s name.
Daniel spoke firmly on the phone, “Hamuza, are you sure about this? So, Milla Moss is confirmed to be part of this stupid vengeance plan toward me and my family, huh?”
Sienna could see how angry Daniel looked at the time.
Afterward, Daniel smirked. There was something devilish that engraved on his handsome face. It was like he would eat her aunt alive or something. His expression scared her to death.
And then he said, “Good, it’s time to make our move, Hamuza. Get rid all of them.”
As Sienna overheard what he said, her heart skipped a beat. She was feeling stressed out about this. It was just like what she had imagined it; Daniel would somehow say that.
And this time, she confronted him. She quickly entered his study room to surprise him.
Daniel immediately hanged up his phone call with Hamuza before it was ended properly.
And then Sienna yelled out angrily to him, “Daniel! What the hell do you think you will be doing to my aunt?!”
He gawked at her while still standing in the middle of the room. He surely didn’t see her coming into his study room, looking emotional like that.
“Baby, Sienna…” he murmured weakly.
The last thing Sienna could do was yelling out again, “Explain to me! What is happening?!”
