Chapter 82. The Incident in the Past

The next day in the afternoon, Sienna finally returned to his penthouse. What other option that she had anyway? She had to come back to that big house. She had to do it in order to protect her family and Jonathan from Daniel’s craziness.
As soon as she entered the foyer, Hamuza escorted her to come inside the house.
“Ms. Sienna Moss, your arrival had been expected here by Mister Daniel Wilson,” he greeted her politely as usual.
Sienna half smiled at him. She couldn’t be harsh on Hamuza. That big black man was always kind to her.
And then, all of a sudden, she remembered her memories in the past. She remembered when she first met Hamuza. He attended her wedding party with Daniel back then. He was there as Daniel’s new assistant and bodyguard.
Sienna also remembered him getting on a boat with her. It was all happened nine years ago. She remembered the look on his eyes when he was struggled to decide whether he would save Daniel or her from Grigori’s madness at the time.
As Sienna went inside the house, Daniel was just walking downstairs. When they exchanged a stare at each other, her heart pounded faster.
“My Baby,” he murmured from afar.
As he walked closer to approach her in the living room, she could see his face looked very happy to have her in this big house again.
“I know you will come back to me,” he said happily.
Sienna smirked. She felt disgusted by his selfish ego. And at the time, Hamuza was behind her. That big black man didn’t see her smirking at Daniel.
Afterward, Daniel glanced quietly at Hamuza. As he nodded his chin at his bodyguard, Hamuza immediately nodded back and left them to have a private talk.
When Daniel turned to see her again, he smiled widely.
“I’m here. Done. What else do you want?” Sienna asked peevishly.
“Slow down, Baby. Take it easy. It will be just the two of us here,” Daniel said lightly and chuckled out. “I don’t have any visitor today. I’m free from work. I can spend all day with you.”
Sienna took a deep breath. She tried to be patient when confronting this man.
And then Daniel grabbed her waist and immediately embraced her.
She was surprised. She quickly tried to push him away from her.
“No! Let me go! Don’t touch me!” Sienna shouted out peevishly.
“Let me hug you, Baby. You don’t know how much I’ve been missing you after all this time,” Daniel muttered while embracing her tightly.
When she finally could break free from his grasp, she pushed his chest backward.
Daniel chuckled when seeing her struggled to fight him off. And then he muttered to her, “I’ve been watching you.”
Sienna pinched her eyes at him for a second. She got flustered.
And then he smirked at her. “Didn’t I tell you? I have my own private investigator to keep me updated about your news, Baby. I don’t want you to run away anymore.”
“You’re a freak psycho!” Sienna barked out at his face emotionally. “You are this stupid egomaniac! I don’t understand you, Daniel!”
“Oh, you will, Baby. I’m sure you will understand me more when you start living here as my wife,” Daniel assured her.
Sienna chuckled cynically. “Gosh, I don’t know why I’m marrying you in the first place…”
The moment those words escaped her mouth, Daniel narrowed his eyebrows at her.
Sienna blinked nervously. She almost forgot that she should act like she still didn’t remember him as her husband.
As she quickly pretended to clear her throat, and then she asked wonderingly, “There’s something I need to know from you.”
Daniel stared out at her face solemnly. And then he said, “Say it out.”
“This is about the incident that happened to me nine years ago,” she had to discuss this carefully with him.
Daniel chuckled out and shouted back, “What about it? Now you want to pretend like you’re still amnesia?”
“Some of my memories just came back. They are still hazy inside my head,” and this time, she told him the truth. “I’m just wondering about the Russian man named Grigori Igor.”
Daniel instantly bulged his eyes out at her. He seemed defensive when she mentioned the name to him.
And then she asked away, “I was wondering where is he right now?”
“I threw him in jail for good,” Daniel quickly answered her.
She flinched when he said that. She felt terrified by his cold tone.
“He… he is now still in jail?” Sienna wondered.
Daniel sighed and muttered, “Yeah, that man paid the price for messing with me.”
“But… wait…” Sienna blinked anxiously. She had to find out more about that Russian man. She was assured that Grigori once mentioned her aunt. But she felt nervous to ask this directly to Daniel.
Before she could arrange the proper words to ask him, Daniel shouted back coldly to her, “What else do you remember? Tell me everything now.”
But Sienna talked stammering, “I… I only remember about the incident on the boat…”
“Liar!” Daniel quickly snarled out. He was being temperamental. “How is it that you still act like you don’t remember me as your husband, but you can ask about that asshole?”
Sienna furrowed her eyebrows for a second. She felt annoyed when he forced her. Thereafter, she gave him a silent treatment.
When she did that, Daniel noticed. He became angry. He clenched his teeth hard. And then he shouted out, “You will tell me everything, Sienna.”
She sighed heavily. And then she said, “I don’t have anything to share with you. I can’t regain my memories all at once!”
“Fine, but time will tell,” his voice sounded threatening her.
As she crossed her arms defensively, Daniel smirked at her.
“What now?” Sienna snarled out.
He shrugged his broad shoulders ignorantly. And then he said, “Well, there is one thing that you don’t know about Grigori Igor.”
The moment he mentioned the topic again, Sienna opened her eyes wide awake.
“Tell me, please,” she begged.
“One of my bodyguards turned out to be Grigori’s cousin. His name is Aleksei,” he told her solemnly. And he looked a little bit tensed. “He stole my mountain money. Well, the money that I gave you nine years ago, Baby.”
“Money?” Sienna murmured. And then her memories recalled the moment when she handed over the money to Grigori while they were on the boat.
“Aleksei ran away with the money. I only found out a week after the incident,” Daniel informed her. “It took me almost nine years to find out where he has been hiding. Just like how I found out about you.”
Sienna gulped down her saliva when Daniel reminded her.
And then Daniel continued telling her, “Last week, Hamuza reported me about Aleksei. My man caught him. Everything’s well now.”
“Where was he before your man caught him?” Sienna wondered.
“He lived in a small apartment in New York,” Daniel told her. “And now, he lives in jail. Just like his beloved cousin, Grigori.”
Sienna flinched when Daniel looked amused about catching those culprits. Sienna could feel his cold-blooded vibe. It made her terrified of him.
That rumor about him being a Romanian mafia was not a lie. He was a Romanian mafia. He was so cold and looked frightening when he had a bad temper.
How could Sienna decide to live with this kind of man? How could she marry him? The more she contemplated it, the more she got frustrated. This was all just too chaotic for her to handle alone.
Sometimes, she wanted to cry out. She wanted the whole world to know about her feeling. That she was terrified. She was trapped here with a cold mafia.
“Now that you already heard the news from me, what else do you want to know?” Daniel wondered.
Sienna stood in front of him, feeling a little bit shuddered.
“Ugh, I… I want to know about…” but then her lips felt heavy and thick. She couldn’t continue this talk with him. This was just too complicated.
She really wanted to know more about that man named Grigori Igor and his cousin named Aleksei Igor. And the most thing that she had to know; what was the connection of those Russian men with her aunt? She couldn’t find the missing puzzle in the picture. It was just too confusing for her.
“Sienna?” He muttered while waiting for her to say something.
“Ugh, Daniel…” and then her eyes explored her surroundings. She gazed out back and forth around this desolate room.
“What?” Daniel was being impatient with her.
“I… I’m tired now. Can I sleep in a separate bedroom from you?” Sienna said.
Daniel narrowed his eyebrows bafflingly when she said that. Then he muttered, “Why do you ask for a separate bedroom, Baby?”
Sienna sighed heavily and rolled her eyes, annoyed.
“You are my wife. Don’t be a headstone now. Don’t tempt me,” Daniel warned her.
“Okay, fine. Whatever, Daniel!” She exclaimed out peevishly. “Just let me go to sleep now!”
