Chapter 19. Private Mansion (+18)
“We’re in Ca… Canada? No way!” She yelled out ragingly. “This is crazy!”
Sienna immediately raised from the bed. She walked past him to see the window closer. Her eyes opened wide awake when she gazed at the night view out there.
She could see the most iconic Vancouver tower from afar. She knew it was Habour Centre, which was a skyscraper in the central business district of the local downtown. There was the Lookout tower on top of the office building, which was also known as the tallest structure in Vancouver. She could also see the city’s skyline from this room.
Her lips fell gawking. Her heart quickened with tremendous fear. And then she murmured nervously, “What did you just do to me? Oh, my…”
Then slowly, she turned to see him again. He was still standing like a cold statue behind her. They were just a meter apart from each other.
“You kidnap me to Canada? Oh, wow… this is shocking news, Mister Wilson,” and she couldn’t help not to chuckle cynically at him. She was disgusted by what he did to her.
Daniel stared silently at her. He didn’t move at all. And he rarely blinked.
“What people will say about you when they know, huh?” She tried to give him some senses of the bitter reality. “That you are a complete psycho maniac!”
“I am certainly not a psycho to begin with,” he chuckled back. And he looked calmer than she was. “You just have no idea. I am more dangerous than that, Baby.”
She narrowed her dark eyebrows at him and gawked. “What?”
Daniel was out of his mind for sure. Something in his vibe felt so devilish that made her even got frightened of his existence. What kind of fate that she would have to meet such a dangerous man like him?
“Look at us here, far away from other distractions…” he murmured while staring deeply into her brown eyes.
She slightly flinched, terrified.
“What do you want from me?” She finally had to ask that away once again.
He chuckled. “Isn’t that obvious? *I want you*.”
She shook her head and snapped, “You don’t…”
“You are my wife. I will have your company whenever I desire you,” he said selfishly.
As if she was some kind of a property tool, she was surprised when he dared to say something like that. She held her breath for a second.
But then she couldn’t help not to shout out of rage to his face, “I hate you! I despise you! I want to go home, right now!”
“Come on, Baby. We are home now. Nobody will bother our time together here,” he convinced her again.
Every time he kept talking to her like she was his wife, Sienna got even flustered.
“Besides, we really need to talk privately. You owe me a big explanation,” he muttered.
“Explanation? About what?” She chuckled cynically when talking. “About your imaginary dream that I am your wife? Ugh, so gross!” She chattered peevishly. “You and your stupid wild fantasy need to leave me alone!”
“I will try to have my patience till the end of time when I am talking with you. Just don’t tempt me further, Sienna,” he threatened her with his eyes stared sharply. “Trust me, you will hate me even more.”
Sienna sighed and chuckled at him. She just couldn’t possibly understand that Daniel was beyond insane.
“I don’t care! I just want to return to New York immediately!” She snapped again.
“We will, but not now,” he said as walking toward the table near the gold vintage chair. He took his phone there and paused for a second to see the screen.
“What… but… I can’t be here…” her heart pounded restlessly as she muttered.
“You’ve been sleeping for eight hours long until we got here in the evening. I guess the sleeping pill I gave you was pretty strong,” he murmured as he slid his phone into his pants pocket, then he glanced at her again.
Sienna watched him angrily, while he chuckled.
“You slept well,” he said considerately.
“Please… Mister Wilson…” Sienna still wanted to talk him some senses. But then he walked toward her and grabbed her wrist.
“Come on, you need to take a shower. There is warm water waiting for you in the bathroom…” he said while dragging her away.
She quickly brushed off his grasp from her wrist. And she shouted back, “No need! I don’t want to take a shower!”
Daniel grimaced, but then he took a deep breath. He tried to be patient with her.
“Don’t be stubborn, Sienna,” he muttered. “We will have dinner together after you’ve done taking a shower.”
Sienna quickly looked around. She was suddenly panicking when she couldn’t find her purse anywhere.
“Wa… wait… where is my purse? I need to call Jonathan,” she said, kind of trembling.
“I keep your purse for you. No need to worry about that loser for now. You will be just fine with me,” Daniel told her. And he grabbed her wrist again to drag her along. “And I have ordered Maddie to tell your cousin that you’ll be away for a vacation.”
“That’s bullshit! Estelle won’t believe it!” Sienna shouted back. “You’re stupid!”
He chuckled at her and said, “She will. Maddie is a good convincer. That’s why I have her under my wings.”
Sienna shook her head in disbelief. She thought that he had such a wrong way by kidnaping her.
But before she could argue back, Daniel immediately grabbed her wrist roughly. She tried to release his strong hand from hers when he dragged her toward the bathroom.
When they got closer to the bathroom, Sienna blinked anxiously while staring between the door and the man that grabbed her forcefully.
“What… no!” She got more panic when Daniel opened the bathroom door for her. “You are crazy! I don’t want to take a shower with you! Stop it, please!”
Immediately, he paused at the doorsill. He glanced at her, flustered by what she just said.
“You have such a filthy thought, Sienna,” he giggled, amused. “I’d be glad to brush your back for you if you don’t mind. I miss touching your soft skin…”
Sienna quickly pulled her hand away from him. She looked at him, disgusted.
“Ugh, Gosh, you’re the worst!” She yelled out. And she couldn’t hide how embarrassed she was to ever say that to him. She blinked multiple times, feeling nervous.
Daniel was staring at her, waiting for what she would say next.
Then she quickly found another reason to slide away from her embarrassment, “I… I don’t have a change of clothes. So, I don’t need to take a shower.”
“Just wear this silk gown,” he pointed out his hand at that dark purple robe she wore. “We will go shopping for your clothes tomorrow, first thing in the morning.”
She looked down to see the robe she already wore. And then she asked him, perplexingly, “How… I mean, did you put this robe on me on purpose?”
A wild fantasy played inside her mind. She couldn’t stop thinking about every scenario. Especially, the thing that he might do to her while she was sleeping. She was just being defensive.
Daniel could quickly read her mind like a transparent glass. He sighed and said, “I didn’t do anything to you if that’s what you’re concerned about.”
Sienna stared back awkwardly at him. Somehow, she felt relieved.
Then his eyes lingered passionately at her. He walked closer and about to reach for her her jaw, “Except for kissing you earlier.”
Sienna walked backward instinctively, tried to avoid his touch. Then she crossed her arms on her chest and shrugged her shoulders ignorantly. “Whatever, but I will not enter the bathroom, however.”
He clenched his teeth tightly once she refused again. She was being persistent in not obeying his order.
“Go in there, or I will do you…” he threatened her. He sounded serious this time.
There was a thick tension in the air when they exchange a glance at each other.
Until then, Daniel quickly grabbed her jaw.
“No! Please! Ugh…” she yelled out pathetically. She tried to avoid him as his lips struggled to land on her lips. Then she shouted out, “Alright! Alright! I will take a shower!”
Once she surrendered and agreed, he immediately released her.
“Good girl,” he whispered, feeling the victory.
Sienna sighed peevishly. She felt annoyed that she had to obey him eventually.
Before she entered the bathroom, Daniel reminded her, “Hey, come downstairs once you finish. You should see around the mansion.”
His eyes looked mellow when he said that. And there was a hopeful tone in his voice. Meanwhile, Sienna looked at him quietly. She didn’t notice the sadness in his expression.
“You can ask the servants here to cook you anything you want to eat,” he said.
She raised an eyebrow at him. She didn’t expect him to say that. It just felt kind of special.
“Just don’t think about running away,” he added.
Sienna flinched. That thought was surely crossed her mind multiple times.
“I have my bodyguard keeping eyes on you if you’re planning to run away from this mansion,” he said solemnly to her.
Daniel was so deceitful. He even faked the news to her family and Jonathan that she suddenly had a vacation. That reason didn’t even make sense. She never had a vacation anywhere in the last five years. She didn’t think her family and her boyfriend would ever believe that.
And this time, he threatened her not to run away.
She could only imagine what was the worst thing that would come into her life next.
***
Sienna spent about fifteen minutes in the bathroom alone. She didn’t feel like she wanted to obey him, but eventually, she had to. It was uncomfortable to be forced like this. That man even asked her to come downstairs after she had taken a shower. He was just being bossy.
Afterward, she turned off the shower. She quickly wore the dark purple silk robe that he gave to her. Then she walked out of the bathroom with her heart pounded fast.
For a second, her eyes were scanning carefully around the bedroom. It was so quiet. He was not there. Somehow, she felt relieved that man would leave her alone. She could think of many scenarios to run away from this unfamiliar place. She just wanted to go home and be with her family and her boyfriend.
But how could she go back without her purse and phone? And she had to fly out far away from Canada to New York. This was just so irritating.
Suddenly, she felt her head was spinning dizzily. The feeling was similar to the moment she was about to fall asleep, which after unknowingly drinking the sleeping pill.
“Gosh, my head feels so hurt,” she massaged her temple for a second.
She came at the window again to see the night view. She could see the city lights out there. Vancouver was beautiful at night.
For as long as she could remember, she was here ten years ago when she enrolled in a college. It was hard to believe that she suddenly returned to Canada. And she was brought forcefully by a lunatic billionaire man.
She grew on hating him afterward. She couldn’t forgive him for kidnapping her like this.
She didn’t care about him demanding her to go downstairs. She had a bad headache. She just wanted to lay down for some minutes.
Soon, she jumped into the king-sized bed. The thick white sheet felt so soft when her skin touched its surface. She felt pretty comfortable sleeping there. The pillow also felt comfy.
She took a deep breath and tried to forget all the hectic things that happened today.
Then she closed her eyes until she fell asleep.
