Chapter 90. The Indecisive Feeling

Sienna still remembered his face clearly. That guy named Nolan, he looked like the younger version of Daniel though. But the color of his hair looked brownish and brighter. And he looked slenderer than Daniel. He looked like a boy that was about to flourish as a man.
The moment Daniel clicked his fingers in front of her face, Sienna flinched surprisingly.
“Daniel, what is it?” She asked wonderingly.
“Why are you so quiet, Baby?” He asked suspiciously.
“Ugh, I… I’m not feeling really well today,” she murmured.
Sienna woke up in the morning on his bed. She didn’t move at all, but sitting down silently beside him on this king-sized bed.
“You make me worried, Baby,” he murmured while staring intensely at her. “I can make you a hot porridge for you now...”
Sienna immediately shouted out loud to him, “No! There is no need!”
Daniel bulged his eyes out, surprised when Sienna raised her tone toward him.
She cleared her throat and blinked nervously. Then quickly she looked away from him.
“There is something wrong with you,” Daniel assumed. “Tell me what’s on your mind.”
She shook her head ignorantly while still staring away from him. She played with her fingers for a while.
Daniel watched her cautiously. Afterward, he grabbed her hands to make her stop playing with her fingers. Then he said, “I want you to tell me if there is something that bothering your mind. I am your husband. I am responsible for your life.”
Sienna paused to stare deeply into his hypnotizing eyes. Something that he said made her heart fluttered. And she could feel the butterflies feeling inside her stomach.
His words echoed inside her head.
*I am your husband. I am responsible for your life.*
How could she feel flutter by what he said this time? She had been planning to divorce him in the near future. She couldn’t fall in love again with him.
Suddenly, his palm hand touched her forehead. After he felt her body temperature, then he murmured, “You’re fine. Your body temperature is normal.”
Sienna immediately brushed off his palm hand from her forehead. Then she blinked anxiously and said, “Yeah, I am… fine… but… I just…”
She had a hard time finding the reason to avoid his suspicion toward her. Truthfully, she was thinking about the guy named Nolan when Daniel suddenly interrupted her.
“Nothing, I will be fine. It’s just I need a coffee in the morning to make me energized,” Sienna muttered.
“A coffee?” Daniel wondered.
Sienna nodded assuredly. “Yeah, a cup of nice coffee will make me happy.”
The corner of his lips quickly turned upward when she said that. Afterward, he immediately kissed her lips and said, “Alright, will be coming right up, Ma’am.”
Daniel was being good to her since she confessed to remembering him again as her husband. He was not a ruthless man anymore since then. She wondered if Daniel was really in love with her.
However, she had to set aside that feeling about him. She couldn’t have the same feeling toward him anymore. A lot of things had changed. And she had changed.
Sienna wanted to start a new life. She was planning to leave Daniel in the past.
However, would Daniel ever be ready to let her go? He was so obsessive about getting her back. Sometimes, she felt pessimistic to step forward.
“Damn it. I should just stop thinking too much now,” Sienna muttered as she jumped out of the bed.
And then she went into the bathroom to take a shower in the morning.

Sienna spent about thirty minutes preparing herself in the bedroom. As soon as she put on natural make up and changed her clothes into a black blouse and black jeans, she turned downstairs to meet Daniel.
In the dining room, Daniel had waited for her. Two cups of warm milky coffee were served on the table already. He was reading a newspaper at the time.
“Baby, here, have your coffee,” he said while nodding his chin at the table.
Sienna immediately dragged the chair and sat oppositely from him.
“Thank you, Baby,” she said awkwardly to him.
A minute later, he closed the newspaper and turned to see her. And then he said, “Baby, come with me to tonight’s party at the Finance World tower.”
Her mind instantly wandered off to her dad when Daniel mentioned Finance World.
She asked curiously, “What’s the party all about?”
“There will be the new CEO of the Finance World Magazine. Everyone will celebrate his arrival in New York. It’s a welcoming party. And I get invited as their company’s business partnership,” Daniel informed her.
Sienna pinched her eyes and shouted back, “Why do you have to come with me?”
Daniel was halfway drinking his coffee when he paused to glance at her.
Sienna closed her lips tightly and looked away.
Afterward, Daniel told her firmly, “You are my wife. I want you to come there as my companion, of course.”
“But… people don’t know about your marital status,” Sienna wondered.
Daniel smiled mischievously when she said that. Then he murmured, “I’d like to introduce you as my legitimate wife to the public. Tonight’s party will be a perfect time, don’t you think?”
Sienna gulped down her saliva nervously. She flinched.
Daniel noticed the stressful expression on her face. He immediately said, “What’s wrong? Don’t you agree with me?”
Sienna pursed her lips outward. She was in a huge dilemma at the time.
But Daniel took her expression the wrong way. He shouted out, “Or you rather enjoy living like my mistress here?”
“It’s not like that,” Sienna snapped out. “It’s about my dad actually.”
Daniel narrowed his eyebrows bewilderingly. “What about your dad?”
“My dad told me that he just gets a job in the Finance World Magazine as a senior copywriter. So, he will be definitely attending the party tonight, along with my aunty probably, since she used to work there,” Sienna muttered restlessly.
Daniel leaned closer to the table and said, “Baby, everything’s going to be alright.”
Sienna stared quietly at him.
Then he added to comfort her, “I will make sure that your dad won’t find out about our relationship tonight.”
Sienna could breathe easier once Daniel said that. But then she felt confused, “Wait a minute, that means you won’t tell people about us yet, right?”
Daniel chuckled out. “Your wish is my command, Baby.”
“Daniel! Answer me seriously!” Sienna snarled out.
He sighed. “Yes, I can delay the announcement about our marital status.”
Sienna pinched her eyes bafflingly at him. “What do you mean?”
“I don’t want to keep our marriage status as a secret forever,” he murmured. “One day, I want your dad to know about us. I will make my marital status public. And I will let everyone know that you are my beloved wife.”
Sienna bulged her eyes out, terrified with everything that Daniel said.
“You are not serious. I am not ready, Daniel!” She exclaimed out peevishly.
“Why do you want to keep me in the dark from your family?” Daniel confronted her.
Sienna’s lips trembled. She was speechless when Daniel asked her solemnly like that.
“Don’t you love me?” Daniel asked with his eyes were staring intimidatingly at her.
She flinched. She felt frightened by this conversation.
Daniel confronted her again, “You can’t even answer me. Does it mean you are being indecisive about marrying me after all this time?”
Sienna licked her dry lips as her eyes were blinking anxiously.
“I… I can’t deal with this conversation right now,” Sienna muttered.
“Why? Do you have a second thought now that you have regained your memories?” Daniel asked firmly.
She could feel his anger when confronting her directly. His eyes looked fiery as he clenched his teeth a few times.
She took a deep breath and said, “Sorry, Daniel, but can we just skip this conversation?”
“I want to finish this conversation with you. I want your answer now,” he demanded.
Sienna rolled her eyes, annoyed when Daniel was being forceful again with her.
And then she shouted out emotionally, “I don’t know, Daniel. I feel like my life is now different than when I met you nine years ago.”
All of a sudden, Daniel raised from the chair. And then he threw out harshly the napkin he wore on the table.
Sienna flinched, hugely surprised when he was being temperamental.
Afterward, he told her firmly, “I don’t care if you have a second thought about marrying me. But you are mine, forever.”
Sienna was feeling speechless when he said that. He was being ruthless to her. And he was so annoying when he was emotional.
Before he walked away, he demanded her, “You will go to the party with me tonight. I have bought a dress for you. It should arrive today in the afternoon.”
Sienna’s lips trembled again, “But, Daniel…”
Thereafter, he went upstairs, leaving her alone in the dining room.
