Chapter 113. Walking Away

Sienna was assured with what she said, *“Because we are not meant for each other.”*
Thereafter, her husband bulged his eyes out resentfully toward her.
Daniel opened his mouth and started shouting out angrily, “What did you say? How could you say that, Sienna?! You hurt my feeling.”
“I’m serious, Daniel. I can’t do this anymore,” Sienna muttered. Then she paused to take a deep breath and said again, “After I lost the baby, I feel numb now.”
Daniel shook his head, disagreed “You didn’t mean it, Sienna. I know, you are just stressing out about…”
“No, Daniel! I am dead serious! I want you to divorce me, please!” Sienna barked out almost immediately in his face. “And just so you know, I have been stressing out about a lot of things since I got married to you!”
Daniel flinched. He surely got hurt by the harsh words that she said.
“Sienna, don’t do this,” he begged her.
They were quiet for a moment while standing in front of each other.
Until then, Sienna couldn’t take it any longer. She had to say it out of her head, “Goodbye, Daniel. I have to go now.”
As she walked away from him, Daniel immediately ran to her. He quickly grabbed her arms and forced her to face him again.
“No! You can’t leave this house! I will not allow you to go anywhere!” Daniel exclaimed.
On the other side, Sienna tried to brush his hand away from her arms. His grasp was strong and he was hurting her.
“Let me go! I don’t have anything to do with you again! We’re done!” Sienna snarled.
Thereafter, Daniel shouted out firmly, “Just tell me! Please! What should I do to make you stay by my side, Sienna?”
At the time, she could see the desperation look on his face. Daniel really scared of losing her. He couldn’t bear the feeling of her absence.
“You are pathetic, Daniel!” She snapped back peevishly. “There is nothing you can do. I just don’t want to involve myself with you and your mafia family! I don’t want to feel anxious all the time! There is always danger anywhere around you! You have enemies!”
Daniel pinched his eyes in disbelief at her. Then he asked away, “Is that what you’re concerned about? My enemies?”
Sienna was quiet for a second. They exchanged a deep stare at each other.
She was speechless. She didn’t know what else to say. She knew if she continued, he would always win the argument. And she hated him for that as well.
“Just let me go. This is the end of our discussion, do you understand?” Sienna muttered.
“No! This is certainly not!” He shouted back harshly in her face.
She flinched. There was a part of her that was scared of his frightening vibe when he got angry like that. Daniel had a bad temper, and she was supposed to remember that very well.
However, she couldn’t handle his temper anymore. She just wanted to break free from him. She had to go, whatever it took.
Soon after, with all of the strength that was left in her, she pushed him away. When he finally fell on the floor, she ran as fast as she could.
She didn’t care about her clothes and her suitcase in his bedroom upstairs. All that she could think was how to run away from him for good.
Therefore, she only ran away with a little black purse that she brought along with her.
Before Daniel could catch her again, she hurriedly ran into the street and called out for a yellow cab taxi.

Sienna went home. She met Estelle and Aunty Milla there, while her dad was still working in the Finance World office building in the city.
Sienna sat down in the living room with them. And when her eyes found Aunty Milla looking back at her, she immediately hugged her.
“Oh, Aunty! You’re back home, huh?” Sienna murmured worriedly.
As soon as they faced each other again, her aunt smiled awkwardly at her. “Sienna, you’re right. I was foolish and blinded by the vengeance that I felt back then.”
Estelle pretended to clear her throat between them, then she shouted out, “Yes, and I’m glad as well that my mom finally listened to my dad.”
Sienna quickly stared back at her bafflingly. Then she asked away, “Your dad? Mister Michael Toronto? Why would he be related to Aunty Milla’s problem with Daniel?”
“Turned out, Michael is a close friend to a private investigator that I was hired. But he only found out recently, that was why he tried to talk with Daniel to let me go,” Aunty Milla said.
Sienna was hugely surprised. “What? Your ex-husband met Daniel?”
Estelle nodded and shouted out, “Yes, my dad helped my mom from being thrown in jail.”
“At first, Daniel didn’t want to agree with Michael. His mafia people also threatened Grigori and Aleksei to hurt their family in Russia,” Aunty Milla said weakly.
“Oh, God, I think that’s because I was the one who begged him to let you go, Aunt!” Sienna shouted out alertly. “Maybe that was why he changed his mind to let you go.”
Aunty Milla and Estelle looked at her, shocked.
“He really listens to everything that you ask for, Sienna,” her cousin murmured. “He does love you, huh? You’re one damn lucky wife.”
Sienna sighed heavily when Estelle mentioned the latter. She couldn’t agree with that. How could she feel lucky if she was not able to live peacefully?
And then Aunty Milla said, “So, my diabolical plan was doomed. It’s over now.”
“How about Grigori and Aleksei?” Sienna wondered.
“They are safe too now. Our vengeance plan was an epic fail. It didn’t work out the way we wanted. We thought we could fool Daniel and his people, but eventually, we failed for good,” Aunty Milla said sadly.
However, Sienna still could see the hatred look in Aunty Milla’s eyes. She was still angry about her one-night stand relationship with Daniel in the past.
But in the end, Aunty Milla smiled at her and said, “If marrying him is the good thing for you, Sienna, be with him. You have his baby now.”
She flinched. “About the baby…”
And she caressed her stomach gently for a second.
“We have to wait for eight months to see your baby born to this world,” Aunty Milla smiled.
Sienna shook her head. “No… I have lost the baby.”
The moment she said that Aunty Milla and Estelle bulged their eyes out at her. They got shocked to hear that bad news.
“No way! When? It’s not the truth right?” Estelle snapped out.
Aunty Milla also looked worried. “Oh, no, what happened, Sienna?”
“Just this morning, I fell from the staircase. After Daniel brought me to the hospital, Doctor Mia checked on me and found that my baby died. I experienced a miscarriage,” Sienna informed them.
“I’m very sorry for your loss, my darling,” Aunty Milla murmured.
“Oh, Cuz, what a tragedy. I feel lost too for your baby,” Estelle shouted after.
And the next thing Sienna could do was just staring down weakly.
Afterward, they heard the harsh knocking sound at the front door.
“Who that might be?” Estelle wondered.
Sienna immediately looked panicking. She raised from the sofa and tried to search for a safe place to hide herself.
“What’s wrong with you?” Aunty Milla noticed her weird behavior.
“It’s Daniel! I don’t want to see him!” Sienna shouted out.
“What? Why?” Estelle asked bafflingly.
“Because I have just asked him to divorce me. But he refused, and then we had an argument, and now I want to run from him,” Sienna said quickly.
“What? Divorce? Sienna, it’s better to face him!” Aunty Milla admonished her.
“Aunt! I can’t!” Sienna barked out nervously.
“You can’t hide forever! And you will just make another mess if you divorce him!” Estelle muttered peevishly at her. “Remember that he has just done dealing with my mom. So, make sure you are not pissing him off!”
Sienna immediately shouted back defensively, “I’ve been wanting to divorce him before I even knew that I was pregnant! I want to be set free from him! I don’t want any more trouble by being around him!”
Estelle shook her head in disbelief at her. Thereafter, she said, “Whatever, Sienna. I will open the door now and let’s see what he has to say!”
Sienna quickly ran toward the dining room. She hid herself behind the pillar.
After Estelle let Daniel went inside the house, he was calling out for Sienna’s name.
At the time, when Daniel exchanged a silent stare with Aunty Milla, they looked awkward. But then, unexpectedly, Aunty Milla told Daniel where Sienna was hiding.
Sienna was surprised. She was annoyed at her aunt.
And soon, when Daniel finally found her, he muttered, “Baby, please don’t run away from me ever again…”
“Daniel! I just… I just want to be at home with my family!” Sienna shouted out. “I can’t see you right now. I want to be away from you.”
“Please forgive me, Sienna, for all my mistakes in the past,” he begged her. “I love you.”
Suddenly, he took out something inside his pocket pants. It was a jewelry box.
“What are you doing, huh?” Sienna snarled out, baffled.
And then he bent down at her knees while opening that small blue box in his hand.
Soon after she saw there was a diamond ring inside the box, she gawked. Especially when he proposed to her, “Sienna Moss, will you marry me for the second time?”
