Chapter 57. The Thrilling Lunch Break

The very next day, Sienna was surprised by the new package that arrived at the door. When she knew that rectangular brown box was delivered to her, she wondered who was the sender.
Her eyes instantly glimmered by the mysterious gift she received in the morning. The box was contained with several fancy floral dresses. But she immediately remembered the gowns that she told the maid to be kept in a vacant bedroom upstairs. This could be Daniel’s doing again.
Around eight o’clock, Daniel had just done taken a shower. He turned downstairs, dressing neatly in his long sleeve white shirt and black pants as usual.
Sienna immediately turned to see him in person. She had to ask him about it.
“Daniel! I need to talk with you!” She shouted out load while staring peevishly at him.
He looked at her bewilderingly while he was fixing his sleeves. “What’s wrong, Baby?”
“Did you buy me another extravagant fancy dresses again?” She asked firmly.
He paused at first, gazing into her fiery eyes. But then he chuckled, amused.
“Yeah, I did. Don’t you like them?” He wondered as he stole a kiss on her cheek.
She quickly pushed him away. He instinctively narrowed his eyebrows when she brushed his hands from her cheek.
“Baby, why are you rejecting my kiss?” He asked, annoyed.
“You haven’t explained to me yet. Why are you keep on doing this? You don’t have to waste your money extravagantly for me!” Sienna muttered.
She slightly saw some maids that walked across the room were stealing a glance at her. She sighed when they seemed to intentionally eavesdrop on her conversation with Daniel.
“Alright, okay…” he tried to calm her down a little bit. “It was my idea. And my reason is simple actually. I want to make you happy.”
She took a deep breath for a second. Then she stared up at him, annoyed. “I told you, I don’t want you to waste your money on me!”
“Okay,” he nodded.
“Promise me, this is the last time you’ll do it,” she demanded him.
He seemed to think for a moment. Then he looked around the living room and the foyer while smiling mysteriously. Of course, Sienna was suspicious about what he had been thinking at the time.
“Answer me!” She demanded him again.
He sighed heavily and said, “Well, Baby, you can’t tell me what I will do or what I will not do about my financial aspect.”
“I’m just asking you not to waste your money on me. Isn’t that a simple request?” Sienna muttered peevishly at him.
“It’s simple for you, but not for me,” he chuckled. “This is what I’m best at doing. Why can’t you just accept it and thank me later?”
“What?” She bulged her eyes out at him and shook her head. “Do you think I’m being such an ungrateful bitch?”
He immediately pinched his eyes at her. “So rude. Your mouth is so dirty.”
She giggled when he suddenly tickled her and hugged her.
“You need to be punished. I have to kiss you and lock your lips,” he muttered, and then he tried to kiss her cheek, but she kept on fighting him off.
As they stopped playing with each other, and then he looked at her solemnly this time. Afterward, he said to her, “I bought you the casual dresses this morning, not the glittering ones like yesterday. Of course, they are different.”
“I know, they are different,” she rephrased his words. “The casual dresses for the casual events, while the glittering gowns are for attending parties. Duly noted!”
He nodded. “Good that you’re understood,” and then he quickly kissed her lips and said, “Now, go change your clothes, Baby. I want to see you in the new dress.”
She giggled when he tickled her waist again. And then she nodded obediently.
Afterward, two maids helped her to bring all of the dresses upstairs. And then she would go to the bedroom to change into the new dress.

During the lunch break, two men in black leather jackets came to the mansion. They both came as Daniel’s guests that sunny day.
Soon after, Daniel had to leave the dining table to meet them. Sienna watched him well-warily leaving the dining room. She watched his firm footsteps when walking into the backyard, meeting with those two big muscular men.
Sienna wondered who they were. She kind of judged their scary appearance. She thought they might be mafias. But then she just remembered about the rumor that Daniel had not yet wanted to confirm it to her. That his family was part of the Romanian mafias. She wondered if that was just a rumor or not. But she was also too scared to find out the truth about it.
She still wanted to live in her very own fairytale with Daniel. She didn’t want the idea of him being too involved with the mafias would ruin her dreamy fantasy. She knew it was too selfish to think like that. But she was also well-aware of the consequences she agreed with by marrying him.
Suddenly, her phone was ringing loudly on the dining table, disturbing her reverie. She immediately checked her phone screen to see who was the caller. But the notification appeared as unknown numbers. Her heart instantly skipped a beat.
She quickly looked around the dining room. She was all alone. The maids were not here. And Daniel was outside, meeting with his guests in the backyard.
Afterward, she carefully received the phone call, “Hello, who is this?”
For a few seconds, she heard no sound at all. She wondered if someone out there wanted to prank her.
And then she spoke again, “Hello? Don’t play with me. I’ll hang up now.”
Soon after, she heard a voice shouted quickly on the phone, “Wait!”
She instantly gulped her saliva down her throat. She was nervous when this male voice sounded unfamiliar in her ear.
“Who is this?” She asked carefully.
And then she heard him pretending to clear his throat for a second. Then he said, “Hello, Sienna Moss. Or should I call you Ms. Wilson now that you got married to Daniel?”
Her eyes were wide awake when she heard him said that. She wondered how this person could find out about her real name. She didn’t feel like she knew this person on the phone.
And then she shouted back, “Who are you? What do you want?”
“No one gets hurt if you’re following what I will tell you. It’s easy, I promise you, Sienna,” he sounded like he was threatening her. She felt tremendously anxious.
“Just tell me, please,” she whispered carefully as her eyes looked around the room to check if anybody eavesdropped her.
“Well, first of all, you have a gut by marrying a mafia like Daniel Wilson. I thought you should know; he has a lot of enemies out there in the world,” he alerted her firmly. “But I should congratulate you for marrying him.”
She gulped down her saliva again. Her heart was pounded restlessly.
“You should be careful, darling, Sienna,” he giggled mischievously, he was teasing her. “You don’t want to get hurt in the middle of the way. You should have just gone home and being a nice girl rather than spending your time sneaking out with him.”
“What are you trying to say, huh?” Sienna muttered resentfully at him. “Are you trying to threaten me? Is that what you want to do anyway?”
“Well, that’s true, but don’t take it the wrong way,” he chuckled. “This is not actually about you at all, darling. I have my problem with Daniel. And I want my revenge on him.”
“Don’t hurt him,” Sienna warned this scary stranger.
“I am also a mafia myself, a street fighter, a hitman,” he chuckled while talking proudly of himself. “And now, I want his life. He has been making me angrier each time.”
“What did he ever do to you that you become a lunatic person like this?” Sienna snapped at him sarcastically.
“Actually, we can make a deal,” he suggested the idea to her. “I will not hurt anyone if you do what I say, okay?”
“Okay, deal! Tell me now,” Sienna was impatient.
He chuckled, amused. “Aren’t you too protective of him? You barely know the real him. I bet he has not shown you his dark side. You’d be surprised once you know how dark he is,” the way he chuckled out, making Sienna felt disgusted of him. “Well, I must say, all of the Wilson are crazy bastards. Those Romanian Mafias are merciless to me. They took what they shouldn’t from me and my family!”
“And what is it?” Sienna wondered.
“They said they would hire us all as their professional wingmen. But when they got involved with the illegal business in the black market, they intentionally made us all as their scapegoats,” he muttered angrily. “Pathetic, huh? We are the scapegoats. Now, we want the reimbursement!”
“Alright, chill out!” Sienna snapped back. “What do you want then? Money?”
“Yeah, we want money. I will text you how much I want. And then I will come to take the money by myself. I want the money in cash,” he demanded her.
“Deal. You have my word,” Sienna muttered without thinking twice.
After he hanged up the phone, Sienna glanced at the window to see Daniel smiling at her.
