Chapter 11. Feverish Dream (+18)

On the way home, Jonathan asked her if she felt alright. Sienna was so quiet after she met the man who had a billion-dollar company during the lunch earlier.
Once he parked his sedan car in front of her house, Sienna finally glanced at him and said, “Hey, thank you for bringing me home,” then she pecked his lips. “See you tomorrow, hon.”
Before she opened the car door, Jonathan quickly grabbed her wrist. He looked at her worriedly at the time.
“Are you sure you’re alright? You seem off since the lunch break,” Jonathan wondered what happened to her. And then the assumption almost crossed his mind, “Did he…”
“No!” Sienna shouted out. Jonathan was taken aback when she instantly raised her tone. Afterward, she blinked fast awkwardly. “I mean, there’s nothing wrong. Everything’s just fine.”
“I was about to ask you; if he said something that might upset you, honey?” Jonathan finally had to finish his words. “You’re right about him being weird.”
And when he said that, Sienna pinched her eyes.
“What do you mean?” She asked curiously.
Jonathan looked a little bit anxious when she caught him off guard. He slightly scratched his temple while chuckling gawkily.
“This is my second day working part-time in his office. Everything is well, but yeah, he is a cold-hearted man whenever he gets firm with his employees,” Jonathan murmured. “Well, if you know what I mean.”
Sienna stared pitifully at him. While caressing his hand gently, she said to him, “Jonathan, if he ever pressures you while working, it’s better that you…”
“Retreat? Yeah, that will not cross my mind ever,” Jonathan despised the idea. “I know what I’m doing, Sienna. I promise that I will find the golden gate for our future.”
Sienna sighed peevishly whenever he said that to her. Then she talked back, “Jonathan, you’re forcing yourself like this is not good at all.”
“You know that my monthly income as an elementary school teacher won’t be able to cover up our plan on buying a private house. We have planned it all since a year ago. It’s been our dream to build a great loving family together, Sienna. And you know it.”
Sienna sighed again as she talked patiently, “I want you to know that I won’t expect you to push your boundary for me, Jonathan. I’m happy with the way you are right now. Buying a house is like a second option. We still have plenty of time to earn the money that we need.”
“We are planning to have an engagement ceremony soon. I don’t want you to stay at my parents’ place. And surely, you don’t want me to stay at your dad’s house,” he looked worried when he talked it out with her.
“Yeah, with Aunty Milla and Estelle in the house, that will be so doomed for both of us!” She chuckled for a second.
The corner of his lips turned upward and he finally giggled along. The idea of having Aunty Milla around was like a nightmare for them. But with Estelle, she was still better off.
Sienna caressed the corner of his jaw lovingly. Then she whispered to him, “I just want us to take it one step at a time. Do not need to rush it all.”
Jonathan took a deep breath. And he finally nodded to agree with her.
“Alright, let’s see what I can do,” Jonathan murmured confidently. “But you definitely can’t tell me to stop being hard working. I’m a crazy maniac, and you should know that, darling.”
Sienna giggled at his humor. “Okay, you are. So, am I.”
Before she got out of the car, Jonathan gave her a quick farewell kiss. She reciprocated it lovingly.
And then she waved her hand, saying goodbye to him.

At night, Sienna was prepared to go to sleep. She was wearing her usual favorite white pajama. She let her long hair hanged loosely in the back. Then she jumped into her comfy bed.
For a moment, she stared out blankly at the ceiling. The image of him crossed her mind. She flinched, hugely surprised.
“Oh, God… why I keep on recalling today’s lunch break with that man?” Sienna muttered to herself wonderingly.
She was being quiet in the car earlier with Jonathan, because she kept remembering her encounter with Daniel. Something about him was just unforgettable.
For a second, she changed her position sideway when laying down on the bed. She tried not to think too much about her last encounter with that man.
“Ugh, it was so awkward. I was embarrassed the whole time,” she muttered again.
Her mind was still occupied with every word and every moment she had with that man. Something about Daniel was just different from anyone she had ever encountered. He was just mysterious, and cold, and dark. He was basically untouchable. It was like he had an invisible barrier that kept him from the unwanted things.
The more she thought about him too deeply, the more she was drawn to know about his mysterious side. But it was just so wrong on every level. Why should she think about him when he was a nobody to her? There was no particular relationship she should be concerned for him. He was just Jonathan’s boss in the office. He was simply a professional businessman who could give her boyfriend the golden gate to be rich and well.
The clock on the wall kept on ticking, breaking the quiet hours in the bedroom.
Slowly, her eyes became heavier. And when she finally fell asleep, the current thoughts on her mind diminished into a black hole.
Soon, she could feel the fire burning inside her body. The heat gave in such a strange feeling of longing for her. She was sweating from the heat that burned her from the inside. She could feel a warm touch caressed her body so gently and so lovingly.
The sensation crawled on every inch of her pale skin. The feeling was so familiar. She was feeling so good. It was like the happy oxytocin clashed landing on her skin until it hit the center spot of her womanhood so strangely.
The touch grew wilder and ingeniously. Sometimes she held her breath to feel it all with her eyes closed. The touch was not only lingered on her stomach to her chest but went further afar, kissing her neckline so passionately.
She wanted to feel it more, but something held her from moaning the feeling out.
*“You are the one and only girl for me…”*
That manly voice again. That voice had been haunting her for a million times.
And when she opened her eyes, she was tremendously surprised to see his familiar shadow appeared on top of her.
The dark room prevented her from seeing his face fully. But somehow, the shadow of his sharp jaw looked like Daniel. And his smile. And his breath.
Then he grinned at her and whispered, *“I love you...”*
She watched him well-warily. If it was really Daniel, she still couldn’t believe that he was the one that kissing her skin from head to toe. She couldn’t even move away from him. Her body froze at the warm touch of his fingers.
He was smiling. But his eyes looked cold and hungry. As if he wanted to eat her alive. She was kind of scared of him.
And then he said to her, *“You are forever mine. Remember that.”*
Unfortunately, the loud sound of the alarm finally woke her up. She jumped out of her bed, tremendously surprised.
“Oh, damn it! Shut up! Ugh!” She cursed out, annoyed by the blaring sound of that alarm on the table next to her bed. She immediately turned it off.
For a moment, she tried to take a deep breath. She tried to calm herself. Then she sat down on the bed with both hands hugging her knees.
Afterward, the flash of last night’s dream jolted her senses. She grasped the air.
“Oh, no… I couldn’t possibly dream about…” and his face flashed boldly on her mind once again. “Daniel Wilson. Damn it.”
And when he said the last words to her, it was the worst nightmare she ever had that night.
*“You are forever mine. Remember that.”*
*“You are the one and only girl for me…”*
*“I love you...”*
Daniel couldn’t possibly say all those stupid things to her. No way that would ever happen in a real life. That was just impossible. She was assured the nightmare she had was just the stressful effect she carried into her sleep last night.
When she turned to see the alarm again, it was already seven in the morning.
Her mind recalled again about the dream. The shadow only shared a little resemblance with Daniel’s figure. She couldn’t really tell if that man was really him or not.
But maybe because she had been thinking too much about Daniel these days. Her suspicion against him had made her dreaming something stupid like that. Especially after she had lunch together with him.
That was just so weird. How could she ever imagine him doing something dirty like that to her? How could she allow her thought to make an imaginary dream that was such an insult? She was not that kind of girl. It was beyond her understanding.
“Why I keep having a strange dream like this?” Sienna muttered to herself.
*The feverish dream.*
Those words echoed inside her head. She started to think if there was something not right with her, psychologically speaking.
She thought she had a great relationship with Jonathan in the last two years. Nothing was wrong in her love affair. But what if there was something wrong with her unresolved emotion?
*The burning dream.*
Maybe she should find the explanation for this very personal experience. She couldn’t even tell Jonathan. How could she? The dream was so dirty and unbelievable.
She kissed a stranger in a dark. And then twistedly, that stranger appeared as Daniel last night. It was, of course, a big surprise for her to perceive.
She quickly raised from the bed. She had to take a shower to cleanse and rinse herself from such a madness thinking.
Just when she didn’t want to think too deeply again, her phone buzzed next to her.
And what was the odd? Daniel suddenly sent her a text message, inviting her on another second round of lunchtime.
She gulped down her saliva for a second. She was surely nervous about it.
