Chapter 91. Finance World Magazine

The party looked mesmerizing. A lot of people came to see the new CEO of the Finance World Magazine. Everyone seemed curious about who would be the new face of this company this year.
Sienna attended the party, wearing the black dress that her husband bought for her. She felt this curvy-looking shape long dress was a bit tight on her waist, making her hard to breathe.
When she looked around the ball gown room, she saw the women here were wearing fancy dresses like her, except those women looked more colorful than her.
Daniel was holding her arms in his arms closely when they entered the foyer. But Sienna kept on telling Daniel to be careful. She didn’t want to be seen by her family here. She kept on having a terrifying thought about them getting angry at her if they found out.
However, Daniel kept assuring her that everything would be okay.
“Baby, look at around you. There are too many people here. Chances are small that your dad or your aunt will see us together,” Daniel whispered to her.
Sienna gawked when he could say that so lightly.
“Daniel, you don’t understand how stressful I am now,” Sienna muttered peevishly.
“Baby, relax, please,” he said, and then he slightly kissed her cheek.
She flinched when he kissed her daringly in the public room. Her heart was beating faster when he kept making her feeling on the edge.
Afterward, Sienna pretended to clear her throat. Then she asked him curiously, “By the way, do you have any idea who will be the new CEO?”
Daniel chuckled out. “That’s what I’m about to find out here.”
“So, it’s a surprise for everyone?” Sienna wondered.
“I heard the Finance World Magazine is being bought by a young entrepreneur. But that’s all that I heard. I don’t know the drama,” Daniel told her.
At the time, Sienna kept on gazing out at the people in this party. She had to be well wary about crossing with someone she might know here. She wished she wore a mask. And she wished this was a masquerade party. But this was just a welcoming party.
After following Daniel mingled with his business partners, Sienna had not seen her dad nor her aunt at this party. She hoped she didn’t come across with either of them. And she didn’t think Estelle would attend this party though, but who knew?
Soon after, everyone’s attention went to the sound of the clapping glass in the middle of the room. Then everyone turned to see the person who clapped his glass with a silver spoon.
Daniel told her that he was the previous CEO of the Finance World Magazine.
“Hello, thank you for attending our party tonight. My name is Tony Smith. And I’m sure everyone here is familiar with my face,” he said and chuckled out.
People followed to chuckle with him. Everyone looked very happy attending this party.
“Now, I’d like to introduce to you, the new face of the Finance World Magazine. This young man will be the new era of our modern company today,” he informed.
And he looked very confident when talking in public.
“Let me introduce to you now…” he said and paused, making people curious. And when he finally smiled widely, then he shouted out loud, “Our new CEO, Mister Nolan Wilson!”
As everyone clapped hands cheerfully, Sienna exchanged a glance with Daniel. Seemingly, Daniel also looked as surprised as Sienna at the time.
Soon after, they saw a young man walked downstairs from the second floor. He was wearing a formal silky suit. His hair looked neat. And his face looked glowing.
He was Nolan Wilson. The new CEO of this magazine company.
“How could…” Daniel murmured, confused.
However, Sienna already met that man yesterday during the Wilson family gathering. She couldn’t believe that she would see him again at this party. And surprisingly, he was the new CEO.
Although she had heard from Nolan himself, Sienna wanted to confirm it with Daniel. Then she asked away, “Baby, is he your relative?”
Daniel was still staring boldly at that man, who thrust his hand to Tony Smith for a friendly handshake.
Sienna shook his shoulder firmly when he ignored her.
Afterward, Daniel glanced at her, “Yeah, Baby?”
Sienna pinched her eyes peevishly at him. Then she snapped out, “I was asking you. Didn’t you hear me?”
Daniel gawked. His mind was definitely somewhere else at the time.
And then Sienna rephrased her question to him, “Is Nolan Wilson your relative?”
Daniel then glanced at her again and nodded. “Yeah, he is my distant cousin.”
Sienna murmured, “How could it be possible that you missed this information? You don’t know that he is the new CEO.”
“Well, that kid is always full of surprises,” Daniel muttered.
Sienna smiled, “Kid, huh? He looks mature for being the new CEO, right?”
When Daniel realized the way Sienna smiled weirdly, he snapped out, “Why are you smiling like that?”
Sienna narrowed her eyebrows. “What?”
“Don’t smile like that. Save that pretty smile only for me,” he demanded firmly.
Sienna chuckled out. “Gosh, what is fricking wrong with you? Why are you jealous?”
“I don’t need to remind you all over again. You are mine,” he said without blinking.
Sienna disliked his bad temper. He was just so annoying when he was obsessing with her.
And then everyone heard Tony Smith spoke again, “Here is our new beloved CEO, Nolan Wilson has just arrived in New York yesterday. He is a young entrepreneur from Romania.”
Nolan smiled handsomely when Tony introduced him.
“And if you are all familiar with the owner of the Wilson Enterprises, Nolan Wilson is Daniel Wilson’s distant relative,” said Tony, energetically.
Half of the people in the room immediately turned to see Daniel. They smiled at him.
Afterward, Tony handed over his microphone to Nolan and let him talked this time.
“Hello, everyone, my name is Nolan Wilson. I am your new CEO. I hope we all can work and cooperate nicely,” he said friendly to the people in the room.
And then everyone clapped hands happily for his arrival here in New York.
After a while, everyone mingled with each other and continued enjoying the party again. And soon, Nolan found his way to meet Daniel in the party room.
“Oh, God, here you are!” He immediately came to hug Daniel.
Daniel tapped his shoulder. And as they face each other again, then Daniel asked away, “Hey, Nolan, how are you?”
“I am fine as always. I was studying in Romania as an entrepreneur. I want to be as successful as you are, Brother!” He said excitedly.
And then his eyes shifted to notice Sienna’s appearance here in the room.
“Oh, you are…” he gawked when he just remembered her face. “This is the girl that I saw in the Wilson family gathering yesterday!”
Daniel pinched his eyes obsessively when Nolan mentioned it.
Meanwhile, Sienna flinched. She was feeling on the edge when Nolan being too over-friendly toward her. And Daniel was being a jealous prick. This was a very uncomfortable situation for her.
“You met Sienna yesterday? I didn’t even know that you got home,” Daniel muttered.
Nolan rubbed his neck shyly as he said, “Yeah, I got home early yesterday. I’m staying in your parents’ house now.”
“It’s nice to meet you again, Nolan,” Sienna smiled at him. “By the way, you look so young to be the new CEO. How old are you?”
“A lot of people have asked the same question by the way,” he giggled. “Yeah, I am young. But my brain is not as young as my face, trust me.”
“He is a little kid. He is twenty-two-year-old,” Daniel snapped out.
“Wow, I’m amazed. You are very successful at such a young age,” and when Sienna said that to admire him, Daniel slightly bulged his eyes out at her.
“Please, don’t admire me too much. I don’t like an extravagant compliment,” Nolan said shyly as he kept rubbing his hair.
Sienna then pretended to clear her throat and shouted out, “Oh, yeah, I mean, Daniel also gained his successful career at such a young age, right, Baby?”
Nolan instantly bulged his eyes, surprised when Sienna called his cousin a Baby.
Sienna immediately said, “Oh, right, we haven’t announced our marital status in public yet. We are married.”
Daniel smiled. He felt relieved when Sienna would finally treat him as her legitimate husband in front of Nolan.
And then Daniel shouted out, “Yes, Sienna is my wife.”
Nolan gawked. He blinked awkwardly to hear that. But he managed to say, “Oh, congratulation, you guys. Honestly, I’m a bit jealous now.”
Sienna chuckled out. “Why is that?”
“Well, I don’t have a lover yet. I am lonely,” Nolan muttered.
Daniel quickly tapped his shoulder and said, “I’m sure there will be women lining up to get your heart, Brother.”
“Yeah, or lining up for my money. That always works out though,” Nolan chuckled mischievously as he said that.
Daniel and Sienna giggled altogether when they heard he joked about his love life.
And then they enjoyed the party together.
