Chapter 108. The DNA Result

*Sienna Moss once forgot who she was.* She had no idea of the life she used to have. The ones that full of sweetness and bitterness in her life. But when she had regained her memories, everything was not the same anymore for her.
When the nightmares came to haunt her soul again, she started sleeping restlessly. She was sweating her skin and her whole body was feeling uncomfortable.
In her dream, she was struggling to fight for her life. But death was only at the edge of her sight. She would know when her time finally came. But she didn’t want to. She would want to survive. She wanted to be alive again.
She was struggling to reach out for the surface. But the wild water kept dragging her down on her weight. She was out of breath. It was hard for her to keep her balance well when she couldn’t swim at all.
There was a voice. A strong manly voice that kept calling out to reach her on the surface. She struggled to touch his hand, but half of her body already felt numb. She couldn’t move.
She had such a bad dream where she was drowning in a wild sea. And there was only one man that tried to help her out of it. But he also struggled up there.
She heard his voice vaguely at first until she heard him calling out for one name that made her heart skipped a beat.
And it was Daniel Wilson. He was her husband.
All of a sudden, a hard knock on the door woke her up. She immediately glanced at her bedroom door to find Estelle coming to her.
She saw her cousin bringing a tray filled with a warm cup of chamomile tea.
“Hey, Cuz, you need to drink this tea. It’s good for your baby too,” Estelle said as she put down the tray on the table next to the bed.
Sienna was laying down on her own bed at the time. She didn’t return to stay at Daniel’s penthouse yesterday. She begged him to let her go and let her sleep comfortably here at home.
Fortunately, he agreed. But unfortunately, he stayed here.
“About Daniel, he is with your dad right now in the dining room. They are having breakfast together,” Estelle informed her.
Thereafter, Sienna just remembered about one thing. She immediately asked her, “Wait a minute, Estelle. I haven’t seen your mom since yesterday, where is she?”
Of course, if Aunty Milla was at home and saw Daniel here, she would be so angry. Sienna couldn’t even imagine how bad it would be if they would meet in the same room.
At the time, Estelle blinked anxiously. Then she said, “I have been calling her phone, but she didn’t pick it up. Although she said she would be meeting with some friends in the city, I’m still a little bit worried about her wellbeing.”
Sienna pinched her eyes bafflingly. “Well, she used to go meeting with her friends in the nightclub and came back in the morning. Maybe she repeats her old habit.”
Estelle rolled her eyes, annoyed. “Gosh, if that’s the truth, then my mom is so childish.”
Sienna half smiled as she took the cup on the table and drank the chamomile tea.
And then Estelle said curiously, “About Daniel…”
Sienna immediately looked at her alertly.
“After he kidnapped you in Canada, you said that he is a pervert psycho,” Estelle reminisced what Sienna once said.
Sienna instantly gulped her restlessness down her throat.
“And you said he took your virginity, but turns out, you’re his wife after all,” Estelle added.
Thereafter, Sienna sighed heavily.
“I can’t believe this. And you’re hiding it from us,” Estelle muttered disappointedly.
Sienna stared back at her, looking guilty. “Estelle, please forgive me for not telling you the truth. I lost my memories of marrying Daniel. And it had last for nine years. I have just regained my memories these days. I feel confused. I feel lost. I feel…”
Estelle looked at her silently.
“Chaotic,” Sienna added.
“Wait until my mom will know about this. She will have a heart attack for sure,” Estelle muttered peevishly.
“Your mom…” Sienna paused while staring cautiously at her. “She knows everything, Estelle. When I lost my memories, she knows that I got married to Daniel. She had her own informant. Your mom is connected to my situation somehow…”
Estelle gawked, hugely surprised. “What did you say? I don’t believe that my mom is involved with Daniel.”
Sienna nodded. “Yeah, she was in the past. Not anymore. Except if she is still too crazy to get her revenge toward Daniel and his family.”
Estelle shook her head in disbelief as she narrowed her eyebrows. Then she shouted back, “Revenge? What are you talking about? Why would mom ever want to do such a thing?”
“She tried to separate me from Daniel. She hates Daniel for what he did to her in the past,” Sienna told her.
“Why are you just telling me this about my mom?” Estelle looked so damn angry.
Sienna sighed and said, “I’m sorry, Estelle. I told you, I feel confused after I have just regained my memories. This is all too much for me. This drama.”
Estelle was suddenly quiet. She was contemplating everything that Sienna just told her.
Then she said, “I will confront my mom about this once she returns home.”
Sienna nodded agreeably. “I hope you can talk it out with your mom. I hope you can tell her not to do a stupid thing.”
And then Estelle wondered, “What did Daniel do to my mom in the past?”
“Aunty Milla and Daniel once had a one-night stand,” Sienna blurted out.
Estelle instantly gasped the air, surprised. “God, no. What the hell…”
“Daniel left her. And then he met me. We fell in love and got married,” Sienna murmured.
“Damn it! Why would my mom sleep with Daniel in the first place?! This is too damn embarrassing, Sienna! I am so angry at her right now!” Estelle snarled out.
Sienna took a deep breath. Then she caressed Estelle’s shoulder to calm her down.
“I mean, she is way older than Daniel. And how could she do that?” Estelle muttered. “It’s not like she could have a real relationship with him!”
“Aunty Milla met him just after she got divorced from your dad. And I only know about this recently from Daniel himself,” Sienna informed her. “For nine years, I didn’t know that Aunty Milla had known him. And she kept it a secret from me until I have regained my memories.”
“My mom needs to explain this to me!” Estelle muttered angrily.
Afterward, they heard the knocking sound at the door. It was Daniel, he peeped at them cautiously. “Hello, can I talk to you, Sienna?”
Estelle immediately raised from the bed and shouted out, “Oh, okay, I will go now.”
After Estelle left the bedroom, Daniel closed the door.
He approached her on the bed carefully. His eyes looked so intimidating when he stared at her. She gulped down uneasily every time he did that.
And then he said, “The DNA test result is here.”
Sienna flinched. Her heart was racing nervously. “Oh, so, how is it?”
“Doctor Mia has just informed me. She sent it to my email,” then he sat next to her on the bed. He looked cautious at first, and then his eyes looked soft.
“What?” Sienna demanded to know.
He reached out to touch her palm. She startled by his warm touch.
“It’s our baby,” he said softly.
Sienna blinked rapidly. “What?”
He nodded and said, “The DNA test showed that the fetus in your womb has my bloodline. It’s my baby. And your baby. It’s our child.”
For a second, Sienna was quiet while she observed his expression at the time. He looked glad and happy with the news. She could see his happiness in his eyes.
“I love you, Sienna,” he whispered.
And then he leaned forward to kiss her lips quickly.
She flinched, surprised.
“I don’t want to lose you. I will do anything you want me to,” he murmured.
On the other side, Sienna’s eyes were staring blankly around the room. She felt flustered by how she could get pregnant all of a sudden.
Then the memory of when Daniel forced her to sleep with her in Canada came abruptly inside her head. She recalled again what he did to her. He made love to her more than once.
The resentment feeling suddenly hovered in her chest. She felt a tremendous rage toward him. It was all his fault that she had this baby inside of her. She was not supposed to be pregnant. She was supposed to be set free and away from him. Her plan to get divorced from him turned into a complete failure. And he clearly had stated that he wouldn’t let her go.
She bit her lips, feeling agitated.
Daniel realized the uncomfortable look on her face, thus he asked, “Baby, what’s wrong?”
“You,” she snapped out. “You are wrong. This is wrong. We shouldn’t have a baby!”
Daniel flinched. He looked hurt when she said that.
“Baby, I love you. I want to have this baby with you,” Daniel murmured. He tried to make her understand that he was really in love with her.
“But I don’t want to, Daniel,” she muttered. “I want you to divorce me.”
Daniel shook his head in disbelief. Then he wondered, “Why are you keep saying that?”
“Because I don’t want you in my life anymore!” Sienna shouted back, but she still kept her voice low, so her dad and Estelle wouldn’t hear her. “You have enemies! I don’t want to feel the danger all the time when I live with you!”
Thereafter, he caressed her hair and said assuredly to her, “Sienna, I’ll make sure that you are always safe with me.”
