Chapter 111. His Forgiveness
**(Daniel’s perspective)**
Back then when Mister Bancroft and his pretty wife visited Daniel’s penthouse.
During the conversation together with Sienna, his dad kept on stealing a glance strangely at him. Somehow, Daniel could tell the restlessness that was craved on his face. There was something that made him looked uneasy.
Daniel could only guess what was his dad thinking at the time until they both finally went upstairs to have a private conversation.
There was something that his dad wanted to discuss privately with him. And he surely didn’t want his wife nor Sienna to listen to what he was about to discuss.
After he cleared his throat, then he spoke cautiously, “Daniel, someone sent me the video footage of me.”
When his dad mentioned it, Daniel raised his thick eyebrows alertly.
Mister Bancroft added, “You know, that one clip which is about the demolition of the poor land in Russia. How could anyone have the footage?”
“That’s because the person who sent it to you must be our enemy,” Daniel snapped.
Mister Bancroft flinched. He looked taken aback when Daniel said the word of the enemy.
“Who could it be? You know that we have a lot of enemies everywhere,” he said restlessly.
Daniel chuckled out. “Dad, please don’t worry about it. I told Hamuza and my men to handle it for good.”
Mister Bancroft pinched his eyes bafflingly at him. “How?”
“We have tracked down who sent the video. And don’t be so surprised. The only people who were involved with the demolition of that land in the past would be Grigori Igor.”
“Damn it. That fool comes back here in New York?” Mister Bancroft wondered.
Daniel murmured, “Yes, he is. And his cousin almost got me. His name is Aleksei Igor. He used to work under my radar.”
“Daniel, I really want to live peacefully now. I don’t want any trouble with these men,” his dad sounded worried.
Daniel caressed his shoulder affectionately and said, “Dad, I promise you. These pathetic Russian mafias won’t be able to expose the footage anywhere.”
Mister Bancroft grinned happily and said, “I know I can always count on you, son.”

The next day, when Sienna asked for his permission to see her dad, Daniel wanted to drive her there by himself.
Unfortunately, during the car trip, he received a phone call from Hamuza. He was informed that there would be an urgent meeting among the Wilson family. And there would be one unexpected guest that wanted to meet Daniel in person that day as well.
After he had dropped Sienna at her home, then he drove his car faster to the Wilson Enterprises office in the city.
As soon as he arrived at the office building, Hamuza greeted him in the lobby.
Thereafter, Daniel asked who was the unexpected guest that wanted to meet him so badly.
“You know him well, Sir,” Hamuza said carefully while they were walking toward the elevator in the main lobby.
Daniel glanced at him curiously, “Just tell me, do you think it will be worth my time if I have to meet this person?”
“I’m sure, it is beyond worth it, Sir,” Hamuza assured him. “He can help you to get to Grigori and Aleksei’s biggest fear, which is the final punishment.”
Daniel stopped in front of the elevator as they waited for it to open. And then he glanced at him to ask wonderingly, “Really? But as for the final punishment, we can do it by ourselves.”
“I know we can, Sir. But this man is Milla Moss’s ex-husband as well as your ex-worker,” Hamuza informed him.
Daniel paused to stare at him for a moment. He looked surprised at the time.
“My ex-worker?” He murmured bafflingly.
Hamuza quickly nodded. “Yes, he was Michael Toronto, Sir.”
“I remember his name,” Daniel murmured as he recalled his memory of that person. “He joined with the Wilson family to work as our minion in the past. He involved in many black-market businesses with us.”
Hamuza smiled and said, “Of course, Sir. And he has been working in Romania now since he left his daughter and his ex-wife in New York City.”
“So, Milla and Michael are divorced?” Daniel wondered.
“That’s correct, Sir,” Hamuza said. “And he wants to meet you here after you attend the urgent meeting with your dad and your other family members.”
Daniel chuckled out. “Well, good then. Let’s see what that man wants from me.”

Michael Toronto had been waiting in the lounge room for a while.
Afterward, Daniel came to meet him after he had attended the business meeting with his family upstairs.
Michael raised from his chair and thrusted his hand to greet Daniel respectfully.
“Sorry to come here suddenly and disturb your time, Mister Wilson,” he looked nervous to stare back at his eyes.
Daniel could feel how uneasy Michael looked at the time.
“But there is something very important that I have to ask you,” Michael wanted to be on the point with what he would discuss with him.
Afterward, Michael welcomed Daniel to sit together with him.
Then Daniel said firmly, “Speak your intention. I don’t have a lot of time.”
Michael kept on rubbing his hand nervously. But he managed to look steady when talking, “My ex-wife, she is Milla Moss…”
When Michael mentioned her name, Daniel instantly smirked.
Michael continued speaking, “I have been working as a private investigator after all this time in Romania. And today, I have a little business I have to attend in New York. And then when I secretly investigated my ex-wife’s life, I found out that…”
“I have just found out that you had a problem with Milla nine years ago,” Michael said carefully. “I have a partner in crime, he is my friend who is hired by Milla. And I know about this matter from him.”
“What a small world, huh?” Daniel muttered and kept smirking in front of him.
“Please, Mister Wilson, I beg you to let go of my ex-wife. Milla is just clueless and stupid. You can’t possibly take her personal issue seriously.”
“She’s the one that started the fire,” Daniel snapped back. “Why should I back away?”
Michael spoke cautiously, “Please, forgive her stupidity for not knowing the person that she deals with, which is you, Mister Wilson. I know she was being reckless by having a one-night stand with you in the past. And I know you wouldn’t take her as your woman.”
“Well, I have a wife now. I see no other woman,” Daniel said firmly.
Michael nodded understandingly. “Yes, I know. She’s Sienna Moss.”
Daniel smirked.
Then Michael begged him again, “Milla can be crazy when she doesn’t get what she wants. And I hope you can just let it slide, please.”
“What makes you think I will make it easy for your ex-wife? She’s planning to ruin my career and also my family,” Daniel shouted after.
“Please, Mister Wilson, I only ask you for her freedom,” Michael persuaded him.
However, until the end of the conversation, Daniel kept smirking satisfyingly. He had already planned it all with Hamuza about his final decision in this case.

A week later, Daniel received a report about Milla Moss. His personal assistant, Hamuza informed him that Milla was investigated in the police station. Hamuza and his colleagues had handled that crazy woman from acting up.
Daniel was glad to hear the news that Milla would be thrown in jail for good after a quick investigation was done that day.
Hamuza tried to find a proper reason to make Milla stayed in jail. It was a bit risky to involve with the cops since the Wilson family had been doing a black business since forever. But Hamuza was always careful when confronting anything.
But when the news about Milla suddenly came abruptly in Sienna’s ears, Daniel felt worried to see her reaction. He didn’t want to fight with her. He was cared for her state of mind, especially when she was pregnant with his baby.
At the time, they were in the dining room, having lunch together. He had been feeling uneasy when Sienna stared back at him. She gave him a disbelief look and a slight dislike in her fiery eyes.
“Baby, please, finish your food,” Daniel reminded her, trying to change the topic.
But she didn’t want to move on. She felt the need to confront him, “Did you really do it to my aunt? Answer me!”
Daniel leaned back to his chair. He took a deep breath for a moment before he could answer her, “Well, baby, I have to. Your aunt needs to be taught a good lesson. She will have to learn a lot inside the iron bars.”
“Gosh, Daniel! You have no heart at all!” Sienna cursed on him.
Daniel flinched. He was hurt when she intentionally said that.
“Release her from jail! She has a daughter that needs her. How can you be selfish not to let her get away? Cannot you just forgive her?” Sienna snarled out.
“And what about my dad’s reputation? And what about protecting my big family?” Daniel snapped back.
Sienna stayed silent for a while. But her eyes kept on looking at him firmly.
Daniel shouted out, “Milla and her stupid Russian minions are trying to leak out the video footage of my dad. How should I handle it quietly, huh? Milla will just cause too much trouble if I don’t lock her up in jail.”
This time, Sienna wondered, “Do you also catch Grigori and Aleksei?”
Daniel shook his head. “Not yet, but I will.”
And right after he said that he saw the terrifying look on Sienna’s pretty face.
Then she begged him, “Please, Daniel, just forgive my aunt. Give her a second chance.”
The more Sienna showed such an innocent face to him, the more he couldn’t bear to listen to what she wanted.
And when she begged again, Daniel finally surrendered. “If letting your aunt go is what makes you happy, then I have no other choice.”
Then Sienna smiled with such a huge relief.
