Chapter 77. Memories Returned

Last night was the most terrifying moment in her life.
The flashes of memories came haunting her while he made love to her.
And it was good. The feeling that Daniel gave to her almost made her lost her mind.
The cripple emotion that she felt had been making her crazy. She was overwhelmed by the mixed emotion she felt at the time.
How could she suddenly remember everything in a flip of a switch? She had been asking herself the same question since she woke up this morning on his bed. And he was still laying down beside her, sleeping still.
She stared out at his face for a moment. He looked handsome as always. He looked charming, making the girls out there hard to forget about his attractiveness.
Her eyes were about to touch his cheek, but she quickly put her hand away from him. She was feeling confused with the emotion that crippled inside her chest.
She finally remembered. Daniel was her husband. She didn’t know how it was possible, but last night, when he made love to her, everything came abruptly into her head.
The accident that she had nine years ago when she fell from his boat, she remembered that Russian mafia that wanted to kidnap her away from Daniel.
*The vintage briefcase.*
*The money ransom for the crazy stranger.*
*The gun that was being pointed out at her head.*
She tried to put all the puzzles into one image inside her head. The memories finally returned to her.
Every night in her sleep, the last thing Sienna remembered was just a completely blurry scene. It was the sound of gunshots filled the air, blood was splattered, and she was drowning deeper into the cold water in time.
Sienna was trying so hard to survive, but she couldn’t swim. She started to feel panicked. She screamed out for help.
In her dream, she was struggling to fight for her life. But death was only at the edge of her sight. She would know when her time finally came. But she didn’t want to. She would want to survive. She wanted to be alive again.
She was struggling to reach out for the surface. But the wild water kept dragging her down on her weight. She was out of breath. It was hard for her to keep her balance well when she couldn’t swim at all.
Her fraction memories of that day kept coming back to remind her about the reality.
She flinched. She was hugely surprised. She didn’t see it coming.
How could this possible? After all this time? Why she had just remember it after such a long time? It took her several years before she could regain her memories of Daniel.
And that was why, that day when she met him in the exclusive night pub in the city, he looked so familiar in her eyes. Everything made so much sense now. That was because she was truly somebody important in his life. And he was somebody important in her life. And they were both passionate lovers. They loved each other too deeply.
And she remembered that she was hiding her marital status from her family. There was only Cora that knew about this.
When she remembered what Cora just said to her the last time, Cora was not lying. Her best friend was telling her the truth.
After last night, she could remember the memories of her wedding day and her honeymoon on the Wilson Paradise Island with Daniel. She could remember those lovey-dovey days with him. Those were her most amazing days.
But now, she couldn’t think the same way anymore.
There was Jonathan Brown. And she just broke up with him to be able to come here and made a bargain. But she was soon-to-be his fiancé in the future. She had settled about her decision to have Jonathan as her partner in life.
But what about her marriage with Daniel? She had just remembered who she was.
This was all confusing for herself to perceive. She was in a huge dilemma to face this problem. She didn’t want to take this reality into her mind. She wanted to forget Daniel. She wanted to start over. She wanted to have her own fresh life and be away from a mafia like him.
He had been treating her badly when her memories were lost. And he forced his love for her by kidnapping her. Ever since those days, her feeling toward him had changed. She didn’t feel the same sparkle as she used to meet him for the first time.
It was all changed. The sparkle had gone.
She held her breath for a moment. She tried to think thoroughly about this. She wanted a solution. She wanted to run away from Daniel. She didn’t want to stay in his place for too long. She couldn’t face this reality.
And when he started to move his body, Sienna immediately closed her eyes, pretending to sleep beside him.
Soon after, she felt her cheek was touched softly by him. She could feel his soft breath on her nose. As his breath was getting closer, his lips smooched her pinky lips for a second.
She opened her eyes again, surprised after he intentionally kissed her.
They exchanged a glance at each other. At the time, Sienna could see the way he stared at her so passionately. He was still madly in love with her. And she knew that for sure. She could feel his caring emotion toward her.
However, she couldn’t take it. Everything had changed after several years she was separated from him. And after she lost her memories about him, she couldn’t retrieve what she felt for him like used to be.
“Baby, you have woken up,” Daniel murmured.
Sienna blinked awkwardly when he smiled handsomely at her.
Then Daniel asked her, “Do you want me to make you breakfast? Maybe a beef sandwich and coffee are good?”
She gawked for a second. She was still feeling numb about having a conversation with him, even if it was just as simple as breakfast.
“Ugh, I…” she kept on blinking nervously.
Thereafter, she hurriedly moved away from him. She sat down on the bed. She was still wearing her black lingerie last night. And it was the first time he didn’t take off her clothes while making love to her. Suddenly, she could feel her cheeks turned warm and red.
“Baby, what is it?” Daniel wondered as he followed to sit on the bed with her.
As he touched her shoulder, she quickly brushed off his hand from her.
She tried to stay away from him. She didn’t want to be carried away by the feeling that she used to be so in love with this man.
Daniel looked at her worriedly. Then he asked, “What’s wrong? You can tell me.”
She sighed heavily as she turned to stare back at him. And then she said, “Last night…”
He quickly smiled when she was about to bring up the topic. He looked happy and satisfied about what they both did last night.
“Yeah, Baby, did you enjoy it?” He murmured. “I made you felt so good, didn’t I?”
She gasped the air, surprised when he talked sensually like that to her.
“So gross!” She immediately snapped out. “Don’t ever say something like that to me! I’m just about to tell you that last night was the last time you could touch me!”
He instantly clenched his teeth when she talked in sarcasm to him.
“Our deal is done. And I have stayed in your place,” Sienna reminded him. “Now, I will go home and live my own life without you.”
As she was about to get out of the bed, he immediately grabbed her arms and shoved her into bed with him.
She gasped the air, astonished by what he did. He was being rough when he was angry.
“I can’t stay here! I have my own life!” Sienna barked at him emotionally.
“Your life is here with me. You are my wife. And you will always be my only wife!” He reminded her firmly. “And you don’t have a say in it!”
“No, I will not be your property here!” Sienna argued back.
He pressed down her shoulders on the bed, making her whined.
“You will listen to everything that I said! You will obey me!” He assured her firmly.
They exchanged a stare at each other for a moment. The air began to feel tensed and uncomfortable between them.
When there was nothing left to say anymore, Daniel finally let her go. Then he got out of the bed and went into the bathroom quietly.
He left her speechless. She was still laying down alone on the bed. She could feel her whole body went numb when he was angry with her. She was frightened by what would happen next.
And then she just remembered that her dad would be coming home soon next week.
It was a matter of time before she could find the perfect solution to solve this problem.
