With wide eyes, an open mouth and a face dripping with disbelief, Andre listens to Aziel's story. If he didn't know Aziel as a serious person, he wouldn't believe all this, it looks like part of a cheap TV soap. Most painful is the way they informed Loraine of Clairy's pregnancy, it is clear that they are targeting Loraine in all of this.
When Aziel has told everything, the pair now look at the screenshots of the conversations between Dale and Clairy that Andre mailed to Aziel. Then everything becomes clear. Here it is confirmed that a payment has been made, Dale's part in all this and what was the purpose of the kidnapping and rape. The doctor who provided the drugs is also mentioned by name.
“Aziel, this is serious. Rape is a criminal offense and I think you should report it immediately and not wait for all the evidence to be complete. The police also have the expertise to investigate," Andre insists. “Dale is now on his way to Suriname and Clairy might be untraceable until the children are born. Then she can ask for legal protection.”
With the material that Andre has added, Aziel does indeed feel stronger in this case. But he wants to talk to Loraine about this first, he knows the aftermath will affect her too. And Loraine is already very sensitive by nature, now with the pregnancy, Aziel fears that she will not be able to handle the pressure that comes with the publicity.
They are in the same bar where he was kidnapped at the time. The same bartender from that day is back at work and without them noticing, he listened to the conversation between the men. He heard about the case from his colleagues at the club, after Aziel had requested the camera images.
“Sir”, he draws the attention of the two men. “I heard what happened. Anyone who works here cannot imagine that this was possible in this place. I've been working here for fifteen years and it's the first time that a kidnapping could take place. We therefore express our deepest regrets and our heartfelt condolences to your family”, he informs Aziel.
“Thank you, man. I appreciate that a lot”, Aziel lets him know. After this, he leaves the bar with Andre to go home and discuss everything with Loraine.
“I want to take Lorrich out of school for a few weeks and let him do homeschooling. I fear that he will be bullied in class, it could have a devastating effect on his further life. Children are cruel to each other, they do not realize the impact of that merciless teasing," says Aziel. Andre shakes his head.
“The school he attends now has an anti-bully policy. They train the children to respect each other. Haven't you noticed how many immigrant children there are? Because the parents consider their children safe there. But we can always talk to the management again, that would of course be gallant”, suggests Andre. Aziel nods approvingly.
When they arrive home they notice that Loraine has already arrived. When she sees Andre, she falls on his neck. “Andre, how I missed you. So much has happened, my head is buzzing with everything," she whispers into his arms. He pats her on the back several times. “Don't worry, everything will be fine. You've faced more serious situations. Now you must be strong, Aziel and the babies need you, girl”.
They walk further into the house and sit around the dining table, Loraine on Aziel's lap. She hugs him and hides her face in his neck as if to comfort him. “Aziel, where were you? I was home early but you were nowhere to be seen”, Loraine finally asks. “And Lorrich was inconsolable. Dordrich had to go to great lengths to persuade him. He didn't want to leave until you got home, but today there is an event in the Fellogan family and everyone is expecting him there.”
Aziel is startled. This has never happened to him before, he is always there when Lorrich leaves home. The boy always insists that Aziel assure him that he will be safe at the visiting place. He can imagine Lorrich making a big fuss before he left. “I'll call him right away”, says Aziel and takes his phone out of his pocket. Before long, Lorrich is in the picture and Aziel apologizes for his absence. But when Lorrich learns that Andre is back, his joy knows no bounds and Aziel is forgiven.
To relax the atmosphere for Loraine, the men chat with Lorrich some more, making jokes. Lorrich is in his bedroom at his father's house at the time. After half an hour they say goodbye and everyone has a smile on their face.
But then it's time to talk serious business again.
Aziel and Andre look at each other before turning to Loraine, who is sitting there with a glass of juice. “Loraine”, Andre begins. “Aziel told me what happened. And I’ve sent him some screenshots from Dale's phone. Do you want to read it too, so you know what's going on?”. Loraine nods. “Yes, but it's not that I distrust Aziel. I was also shocked by what happened, but I want to know how it all progresses.”
Andre hands her his phone, allowing her to scroll through all the screenshots.
“Elena!” she whispers, stunned. “She had promised me revenge. But I could not have imagined that she would go so far and drag Aziel along in her bitterness”.
Aziel looks up from her words. “Has Elena approached you? Why am I only hearing this now, Loraine? Was she mad about Lorrich?”. He's looking straight at his betrothed now. “I didn't want to worry you about the Fellogans. I've already moved my office from the headquarters. I am already so tired of being confronted with their drama, while they forget that it is me who takes care of their daily bread.”
“You and I will go to headquarters tomorrow and request the images of that day. We are gradually noticing the motives of everyone in this criminal network”, Andre now grits his teeth. He hates such dramas in love relationships and can't imagine Elena daring to hold Loraine responsible for her husband's actions.
Loraine nods. “But you came to tell me something important?” she asks, looking at the men one by one. “Yes. Tomorrow we will make an official report with my lawyer. We have already gathered enough material and think we have a strong case”...
